He'd heard of the teenage girl before from Navy. She was capable of taking care of herself, and she seemed strong since she'd endured all of the shitstorms Hoenn has gone through. Still... he had some doubts he was trying to hide.

With diving gear on, he examined their oxygen tanks and other supplies before submerging in the water. "Ready?"

Surrounding her are her faithful team of Wooper Troopers: Nessie, Einar, Socks and Pips. Each a seasoned officer in their own right, each very much capable of handling things should it go South. They all turn to Montgomery with their blank eyes and wide smiles, waddling in after him like little critters following the Pied Piper.[break][break]

Leaving Eris with no option but to swallow her fear and quickly follow after.

[attr="class","monty"]Montgomery eyed the WOOPERS, each seemingly excited (though maybe it was just their faces peering mindlessly up at him) about their operation. He gave them a small smile as he strapped the goggles and other gear to his face.

And down he went.

"If ya need anythin', just let me know. Just be careful of that debris over here," he said through their comms, releasing his SHARPEDO into the sea.

There was sunken wood and metal protrusions that had sunk beneath the surface, jagged and deadly if they weren't paying attention. He pointed forward, ordering his shark to clear up some of the wreckage.

[attr="class","eris109"]Diving is so similar, yet so different from drowning. The way the water washes over your head as the lights dim from above. That churning of bubbles when you flounder in the water attempting to reorientate yourself. If not for the calming presence of her Woopers and their patience, she probably would've lost track of which way was up and down.[break][break]

"Got it!" Her voice comes out a little sharper than expected but other than that, she's mostly fine. "Watch out for any stray pokemon."[break][break]

With Einar and Socks on lookout duty, Pips begins to chip away at the sunken wood whilst Nessie lends him a helping hand. And Eris too, helps in her own little way, drawing upon the powers of her Wooper as she begins to purify the contaminated water.

"Look. I see a door," he claimed, swimming to one of the buildings that had fallen below the waves.

However, as he came up to it, he'd realize that opening the door would prove difficult. "The water's going to make it hard to open. Think some ice can break it apart?"

SHARPEDO swam forward, attacking it with a brutal ICE FANG.

With the help of her WOOPER, the SHARPEDO was finally able to break through the hinges of the door, opening the submerged area to the two leaguers. Montgomery waved his hand at her.

"Scout ahead. Make sure there's not danger before we get ourselves in there." The shark Pokemon swam forward, confirming the area was abandoned except for a few straggling Pokemon.

"We should be close to the stuff we need."

In a box, submerged in the water, were ROTOM encrypted and protected hard drives. He hoped that the box was secure enough to keep the items from getting wet, or the ROTOMS would protect the drives from damage...

"Make sure there's no more boxes of these, and we'll go back up."

What exactly are these meant to be? Why are they so important that they would send rangers and volunteers to go looking for them? Her curiosity is piqued, but that does not deter her from thoroughly scanning her surroundings. There, tucked under a pile of rocks, seems to be another box of the same size and make.[break][break]

With a quick wave of her hand, her Woopers get to work, breaking down and pulling apart the rubble, careful not to damage the box. And in the end, Nessie grabs ahold of it with her mouth, swimming back to offer it to Eris with a bubbly laugh.[break][break]

"Alright... I think we should be good! Let's go back up!"[break][break]

Up onto dry land, where she will be much more at ease.
