She emerges from her den of starlight and surrounds herself with invisible eyes. Few have seen the Visionary lately. Ever since Sootopolis, she has made herself scarce. But something calls her to this particular spot - something more than her orders to aid the invasion effort: some kind of terrible intuition pulling at her heartstrings. She does not question such illogical feelings anymore; she has learned to recognize them as just another aspect of her Avatarship. Ironic, perhaps, that one born into science would find herself at the whims of the supernatural.[break][break]
It's a relatively quiet, heavily forested section of route 104. She knows Kanto is pushing them to advance. Rocket hungers like a starving man unable to be fully sated by any given meal. They grasp and claw for more, when they have already taken so much. And the League? The League meets them with equal ferocity: there are monsters on both sides.[break][break]
"Our job is to see," she tells them. They hum back in her mind as they bob in the air around her. Rocket needs them to spy on the League forces, so that's what they will do.

Pamplemousse stalked Route 104 like a caged beast that had been prodded too many times and was looking for blood. The chaos of the retreat from Petalburg after the League's disasterous defeat had only reinforced his purpose in defeating their enemies.[break][break]

Jack's Aegislash hovered silently behind him as he stepped into a concealed space where he could watch the activities of the route. He had eschewed a partner for the patrol, hoping to stay out from under 's gaze. The Head Ranger had seemed more watchful than usual after their time together during the W.A.T.E.R. Ops training drills.[break][break]

Ollie didn't matter. didn't matter. What mattered is that Pamplemousse would keep Jack from floundering in this life and fulfil the purpose he had since he was born of a prison's madness and a 's prophetic words. He was the hard crystal formed from the bitter sweetness of Jack's experience and he would not be broken.

She doesn't mask her face anymore; there's no point. revealed her identity to the general public, and the League already knows who the Visionary is. She does tread carefully, however, lest she run into an enemy.[break][break]
The Unown resonate with warning, and she switches her vision to see through their collective eyes. A League Ranger patrols the border of the forest, an Aegislash at his side. At first she isn't sure...but then, as he turns, she recognizes him - and lets out a breath of relief.[break][break]
"It's Jack," she tells Kallistatus. "He won't harm us."[break][break]
She makes no moves to hide, instead waiting for him to approach. She'll convince him to leave, so he doesn't get in the way of any other Rockets. It's not much of a plan, but she has no intentions of fighting him. She's glad it's him and not someone hungry for Rocket blood.
