A few fridges lined against one wall. A stainless steel table with leather straps bolted in, over top of a drain.[break][break]

Chu-e Choi, former Underboss and mother of Necrozma, sits and waits. A cigarette burns between his fingers, stolen from howard slayte's pack earlier. It wafts acrid smoke in the air around his head.[break][break]

As Shalin's blindfold would be violently removed, thrusting her into a dizzying circle that left her in a heap on the floor of the musty, smoky room. Struggling to get to her feet, she would see a Gardevoir with what appeared to be a mutilated hand, fingers missing. Just what kind of cruelty did Rocket force onto the poor Pokémon?

And now that Rocket had captured her and six of her best Pokémon, would they suffer the same fate?

The Captain shook her head. "Who are you, and what do you want with me and my Pokémon?"

Chu-e does not flinch away from her. Does not look at her with disgust or some gleam of hunger for violence in his eyes. He only stays where he sits, relaxed, and takes a short drag off the offending cigarette before blowing it out of his nose slowly.[break][break]

"I'm Chu-e Choi." Is what he finally answers. It is no-nonsense. Conversational. If she recognizes the name of Kanto's former Beast and Hoenn's former Underboss is not his concern.[break][break]

"They're taking samples from your pokemon in the labs. Last I was made aware of, they're fine otherwise." Chu-e shakes his his hand, making the cherry-burning end dislodge. He snuffs out the cigarette before it is lifted from his hand with Psychic force. "and you," Chu-e finally rises to his full height. He looks down on Shalin Nariya from her splaying on the floor. "I want information. Give it to me and you might leave this room intact."

All business, no nonsense, Chu-e was. No threats. Honesty. He seemed to be on a mission of his own, and with how much she had suffered in the hands of other Rockets such as Dorian, she was happy to find one who was civil. Though the mention of having samples of her Pokémon taken made her cringe, thoughts of Ellie the Donphan having been taken from her prematurely coming to mind, she remained as calm as she could be. Chu-e genuinely didn't seem to want to hurt Shalin, unlike dorian westcliff . That monster pushed her to the brink of what she could endure without her Sygna Suit, her bones on the verge of snapping from the violent torture the Mad Dog put her through.

"On who or what?" Shalin asked, peering up toward the Rocket's face. "I'm just a Ranger Captain. I don't have the access that the Gym Leaders do." Chu-e may have been able to see the horrific wounds Shalin had suffered under Dorian's watch: large rashes from directly absorbing a Volcarona's Bug Buzz, bruises on her knuckles from being harnessed to a Venusaur's lashing vine, and more. All that could have been prevented had she been allowed to wear her suit...
