the invitation catches minerva off guard, a flicker of surprise crossing her features before she quickly smothers it beneath a mask of cool indifference. the thought of witnessing such a display of power and speed is both exhilarating and terrifying, a testament to the raw intensity of the bond between josh and his storied companion.[break][break]

"very well," she murmurs, her gaze sharpening with the promise of something greater, something that lies just beyond the veil of the ordinary. "i would be honored to bear witness to such a sight."[break][break]

Josh's skin shook as Swift accelerated, making wide circles around Minerva and giving her plenty of space to remain out of the elements. It was like watching a Linoone hunt, their stubby legs moving impossibly fast as they sprinted after their prey too fast for wildlife their size to bear witness. The ashen Raikou's strides were just as rapid, only with much longer legs that multiplied the speed of the charge. Were she to focus on Josh, she would be able to see how far and how frequently the Champion was being bounced up and down on the black cloud. How were his thighs not sore from that kind of punishment his legendary mount put him through?

The Master of Faster was ready to show the true prowess he had honed. Making his final lap around Minerva even more wide than before, he tugged on the right, outermost tuft of thundercloud to get the Raikou to line up for a charge Minerva would be able to get a wonderful view of. "Swift, QUICK ATTACK!" the Leader shouted over the wind.

With a thunderclap that sounded like a violent motorcycle kick from having pure nitrous oxide mixed with its fuel, legendary Pokémon and knight sprinted wide of minerva valentine , giving her a sense of the speed god vestige's pace. The concentration it had to take to remain seated on the Raikou, let alone direct the feline, may have been unfathomable. If she had seen an Arcanine use Extreme Speed before, this put that to shame.

He could travel between Verdanturf and Mauville in minutes.

minerva watches in awe as josh and swift circle her, the wind whipping at her hair and cloak with an almost frantic intensity. it is not merely the speed at which they move that captures her attention, but the raw power and control that radiates from them like an almost tangible force.[break][break]

her breath catches in her throat as they line up for their final charge, a bolt of adrenaline surging through her veins at the sight of the ashen raikou poised and ready like a coiled spring. the thunderclap that accompanies their departure is nearly enough to deafen her, but she refuses to look away, to break her gaze from the sight of josh and swift blurring into a streak of ash and lightning as they surge forward.[break][break]

time seems to slow to a crawl as they pass her by, minerva's heart pounding in her chest with a force that threatens to break through her ribs. the sheer intensity of their speed is enough to steal the breath from her lungs, leaving her gasping for air as they disappear into the distance. it is not until they are gone from sight that she allows herself to exhale, her body trembling with a mixture of awe and fear.[break][break]

"holy shit," she breathes, her voice barely audible over the howling wind. "holy fucking shit."[break][break]

minerva can't help but feel a surge of envy at the sight of josh and swift, disappearing into the distance with a speed that defies all logic and reason. it is a reminder of the power and potential that lies dormant within each individual, waiting to be unleashed and harnessed for greatness.[break][break]

she wonders, idly, what he is running from. or, instead, is he chasing something?
