Even in her haze, her confusion, her heart thuds uncomfortably in her chest. Maybe it's the alcohol making her sick, or maybe it's the fact that she's acting out of character. She's lonely, she's confused, she's desperate for something to fill that void in her chest.[break][break]

He speaks in an uncharacteristically soft tone and she turns, surprised at this. But she's confused, surely. Fernando has never been anything but cold and calculating, never soft and tender.[break][break]

Her own hunger is unsettling, unnatural.[break][break]

He's begged a question and she pulls away. Her clothes are folded inside the crook of her arm and she steps away from him.[break][break]

"Nevermind. Have a nice evening, Fernando. Drink some water."[break][break]

She smiles, eyes still dark from the desire she had just silenced. She puts some space between them before dropping her towel to get changed, and would eventually make her way out the door, one hand pressed against the wall to brace her should her distracted and disoriented brain encourage her to stumble.

Strange. She tells him to disregard her actions but curiosity is a hard beast to quell. He stares back at her, questioning, discerning what he doesn't understand, confusion painted by the way his eyebrow notch slightly raised when his face tenses. Silent, Fernando changes as well, allowing the tension to die off with an anti-climatic end. The longer he's exposed to a more regulated temperature the clearer his mind feels. Clarity is still well beyond the horizon but he's able to dial himself back, returning to his root personality.

Bronwen attempts to exit first and Fernando doesn't interrupt her, paying her no mind as he reaches for his phone. He still has a few hours before he has to retire and there's still a few things he'd like to look at. Distracted, there's no pull to keep Bronwen from leaving should she find the strength to make it out in one trip.

She's seeing blotches, the dark shadows in the corners of her eyes growing longer as she makes her way out the door. It's time to go to bed, time to forget most of the finer details of the night.[break][break]

Stormy doesn't pay Fernando any more mind, mostly because she's too clouded to think, too drunk to properly stand up straight. The moment she'll step outside, however, she'll lean against a tree somewhere to catch her breath and wake herself up before walking a wobbly line back to her house.
