It has been a week since Selena arrived at Slateport.

With just enough cash and company, she decided to leave Johto for good and went to Hoenn to accomplish her mission. With all the anomalies surrounding the world of Pokémon, she knew it was her job to expose all the deepest, darkest secrets she would ever find. If it was not for this attitude, she would not be called the "Eye of Staraptor".

And now Selena was itching for another enigma to be exposed.

Team Rocket--mired for its reputation in causing havoc and chaos wherever they go--turned over a new leaf with a change of leadership and objectives. Whether to cause more problems to the people of Hoenn or not, no one really knows. But Selena is an exception. She has the job know. She needs to know.

And if this kind of determination was not yet quite enough, she left her newfound home in Goldenrod City to go onto a new kind of adventure that would only mean danger for her and her Pokémon. But the thing is, no one really bothered looking for Team Rocket nowadays. Even the League members seemed to give little care to nothing unless they disturbed the current order of things. Only Selena bothers. She always have to know what's happening. She always have to feed her cuosity.

And so she walked the curvy grassland strip of Route 110 approaching the city of Mauville. There were people like her who cannot afford a bike--rather in Selena's case, did not know how to ride a bike--and so patiently strolled the verdant isthmus, hoping for a safe passage.

But then just as she turn right from the first corner, Selena heard some rustling in the grass.
