Selena believed flying-types are the best way to navigate the waters of Pacifidlog Town. Molech, the noctowl who was large enough to carry her across the sea of Slateport into the rocky islands that surrounded the corsola-mounted town, brought her into the area where people said is best to capture other flying types.

The Kalosian's objective: to find a swablu and catch it.

If she would face the Fortree City's gym leader in a challenge, she needed a dependable partner that would take her to her potential first Hoenn badge.

A pidgeotto rushed past the duo hovering the water route surrounding the island town but Selena decided not to let Molech attack the passing bird. It had a sharp flutter, but the Kalosian needed more grace.

The duo patiently waited atop the sea for their target.

Selena did not order the noctowl to sweep down the seawaters but it did. The moment its feet touches the waters, its claws grabbed unto a pink serpent that was eager to get away from it's prey. It's a gorebyss.

"Molech! It's not what we're looking for. Drop it off."

Soon, the owl hissed and let go of its supposed dinner and the duo continued flying in search of a swablu.

There was a ringing in her pokénav, and it was her editor's voice that followed. Even though she could not make out his words from her speaker, she knew exactly what he was trying to say.

Her time is up. And both Molech and Selena failed.

Selena veered her noctowl into a nearby rock to make the bird pokémon rest. There, she saw an idling slowbro resting on the ground. She can't let her trip go to waste, and so, with pity, the girl threw a premier ball against the hermit otter pokémon.

"Just get in already."
