Alec had little reason to be in the Kingdom of Pugilis, however there was something that caught his attention. He had heard rumors of another mini-boss had spawned in this area. It was his goal to kill it. There were probably others out there looking for it as well, however, since this was a non-PK zone, they couldn't get rid of their competition the way they had wanted. Alec had no intention of bothering with anyone if he could help it. His focus was just on the mini-boss, and then go look for another one. "Now, if I were a mini boss, where would I be?" Alec had said, looking around for the blasted thing. he had hoped that he was around it's spawn location, but with him not seeing a single spawn made the demon mage have his doubts. He had figured he would just have to try and keep looking elsewhere in the kingdom.[break][break]

It was then that Alec would come across another player - a female mage. He had only met one male mage so far aside from him in the game when he had aided taking down the Salamence in the Dragnor Kingdom. "You looking for the mini-boss in this area, I presume?" Alec had asked with a devilish grin, his black skin, horns, and tail was all being complimented by his facial expression, as well as his blood-red eyes. [break][break]

Stormy had been scouring all of Pugilis in search of this elusive 'mini-boss'. She had an intense desire to clear all of the achievements and obstacles that B&B had to offer. [break][break]

It was boring, actually, enduring the endless weak-ass spawns in the PVE area of the game. She preferred the excitement and danger of PVP where she had the option to just nuke whoever got in her way. She couldn't do that here, it would take no effort for someone to walk up and steal her glory and then leave without a scratch.[break][break]

She overheard someone chatting to themself not far away and she didn't give it much thought, other than a brief look of suspicion. Was the the type of person she had just been considering for her hit list?[break][break]

But then he approaches and addresses her and she has no choice but to respond. She didn't want to be rude, not really.[break][break]

The demonic mage had turned towards a feminine voice who had spoke up to him. "No. not yet anyways. But when and if I do, it'll be as good as dead," Alec declared to the female, who had seemed to be a mage. Alec quickly brought up the menu, quickly searching for her name, and sent her a party request. "If ya want, we can find it and kill it together. Split the loot fifty-fifty. Deal?" Alec had said, getting straight to the point. Before Alec could say anymore, two Hotmontop had appeared before the two mages. Alec let out a sigh. "More fodder. Greeeeeeat. I got the one on the left," Alec had said, rushing towards his target, not saying anything else, launching at it with a Zen Headbutt. The kinetic aura had spread around Alec's body like a massive cloak, crashing into it. He had killed it with that one hit, since it was a Super Effective move, which was also powered up by his "Sheer Force" ability. [break][break]

"Predictable and annoying. that's how I feel about these normal spawns. This is why I like hunting rare game more. give me more of a challenge,"[break][break]

He's blunt and straight to the point. She can run with that, appreciate it even.[break][break]

Like him, she was here for the boss, and, like he'd so delicately put it, if she found it it would be as good as dead. She's mildly surprised by the sudden party invitation, but she doesn't hesitate to accept it. Two is better than one, after all.[break][break]

"Fifty-fifty, I like that deal."[break][break]

She smiles at him just as two Hitmontop appear. Alec targets the one on the left, so she turns to his right, aiming her wand at the Pokemon just as it begins to engage.[break][break]

It comes in faster than she liked with a QUICK ATTACK, knocking her off balance and cutting her focus. She uses a CALM MIND to steady her hand, before blasting the Pokemon away with a FREEZE-DRY. Both Pokemon are quickly dealt with.

The demon mage had cracked his neck without even using his hands and said, "That was disappointing. Not even a warm-up." Alec had said, and then that was when two more spawns had appeared, however these two new ones were Hariyama which made the demon smirk wildly. "Now those two seem more promising," Alec had held his smirk as one of the Hariyama had charged him, hitting him with an Arm Thrust, however the attack did very little damage due to the demon's typing. Before it could even attempt for a second strike, it was blown black violently by an explosion which had come from mage's wand. It was his Shell Trap spell, which had done quite some damage to it in turn. Before it could attack again, Alec had flicked his wand, and began to kill the pokemon with a Freeze Dry.[break][break]

"By the way, you're not pretty bad at fighting either." He had said to the female mage as soon as she was done defeating her spawn. "Playing this game while the Resort is closed down for the day is great. I also fed my pokemon already, so I get to enjoy this game to the fullest at the moment," Alec had said, revealing a part of him in real life. Ever since this game had come out, he hasn't had any Gym Challengers. That led to believe that most if not perhaps everyone was plying this game.[break][break]

But before she could come up with the sense to be disgusted, she guffaws at his overzealous comment. He was right though, these normal spawns were pushovers. Definitely not even a warm-up.[break][break]

Two new Pokemon appear, much bigger and more intimidating than their predecessors. Stormy is only mildly put off by their immense size, concerned tha even with her SHEER FORCE, her attacks may not leave a dent in their thick skin. She chews the inside of her lip as her avatar takes a step back, focusing a CALM MIND in preparation for what was to come.[break][break]

Alec wastes no time, the demon mage utilizes a SHELL TRAP to decimate the Pokemon senseless enough to engage without concern. Stormy meets her own opponent with a blast of FREEZE-DRY, catching the Pokemon off balance. But that second of unsteadiness is enough for her to counter him with a MYSTICAL FIRE, pushing the Hariyama into a corner. [break][break]

It eventually perishes along with its partner, giving the two mages a moment to breathe.[break][break]

"Hey.. yeah, thanks. You too, man."[break][break]

He had mentioned something about a 'resort' but she's unfamiliar or too distracted to put the pieces together.

The mage thanked the female mage briefly, for another couple of spawns had appeared. "These ones seem to be a little persistent don't ya think? IF that's the case, then we may be getting close to the big cheese here soon," Alec had said to his comrade, not even attempting to dodge or veer out of the way of the Conkeldurr's incoming Superpower attack. It may have seemed like it hurt, however, the Demon's face had immediately changed from a shocked and pained expression to a sadistic grin, doing the same thing he had done to the Hariyama before, using Shell Trap as a means to counter.[break][break]

The Conkeldurr was forced back from the force of the fiery explosion that had went off right in front of it, only to be caught off guard by the Demon mage to ram into it with a Zen Headbutt To finish it off. "Don't let up. We got few more paces to go. I just hope the mini-boss really is up ahead," The demon had said. "I fought one in Fontaine once. Walked right off of a path that led to a swamp, and then suddenly the Mega Swampert appeared. Ever since that, I've been hunting rare game ever since before others can get to it. But sometimes, I don't mind the help," He said, being truthful. "What about you? You a Solo-Player too? I figured with how you fight, it seems like you are," Alec had said, finally bringing it up. The 'big cheese' as he has said, wouldn't come. Instead, the next stream of spawns were more run-of-the mill normies. The Conkeldurr are swiftly dealt with thanks to both Alec and Stormy's SHEER FORCE abilities. Their boosted attacks and incredible fire-power were more than enough to blow the two galoots out of the water.[break][break]

Stormy wipes sweat from her brow as she takes a breath, stretching out her avatar's back as if she were stiff from all the fighting. But she's smiling, indicating she isn't at all disappointed with the loot she's obtained and the time she's spent fighting normal spawns.[break][break]

"Oh is that right? I've yet to meet a mini-boss in Ransei yet. Looking forward to it though."[break][break]

She sighs, kneeling down to collect the loot that had dropped. The mage rolls it around in her hands a moment before tucking it into her virtual inventory.[break][break]

"Yeah, sorta. Mages aren't too strong on their own to effectively tank everything alone - but I make do. When the time is right I join up with others, but I do prefer to grind on my own, I guess."
