there was something so surreal about going for a swim in a virtual world and feeling cool water against one's skin, or in kazimir's case his fur. it was probably a bad idea for him to remove some of the armor he got himself as he entered this particular area but the idea of going swimming while lugging around clothes was just insane to him. of course he did have a macro saved for him to equip it right away if he did run into any mobs while he went for a swim, or arceus forbide a player that wouldn't mind doing some peeping. of course he was sure that there wasn't a single soul that would want to stare at a large arcanine going for a swim.

Stormy hadn't exactly planned on going for a swim, in fact she hadn't even considered it. The water was not her friend and the only time she indulged was when she was taking a break at the Knights Bath.

But yet she had found herself running like a dog with her tail between her legs as some unseen creature(or two!) chased her into the water that the oversized Arcanine was swimming in.

Cue Stormy's shriek of surprise and horror as she teetered off the edge of a short cliff and directly into the arms of the man, soaking them both as she hit the water.

the sound of shrill screaming caused the arcanine to pause his doggy paddling as he looked up and saw a familiar person suddenly come falling into his arms as he help them open to catch stormy. the two of them sunk a bit under the water as all of the dragon mage hit him full force and pulled him under before he managed to pull them back to the surface. "stormy? what the hell are you-" before the question could even come out finished two wailords breached on both sides of the duo, their massive size and ambush causing the arcanine player to yelp and shoot off aura spheres in surprise retaliation. "were these things following you?!"

Stormy lands expertly in his arms, thanks to his acute attention to her screaming and his readiness for her dive-bomb. Her heart is hammering as she wraps her arms tight around his neck, sobbing into his neck fur and burying herself in it, even if they both ended up underwater and she comes up sputtering for air.[break][break]

Between breaths and her choking on water and air and life itself, she manages to respond to him when he turns to fire some AURA SPHERES at the Wailord.[break][break]

"N-no! No I don't -- I don't know. These are way worse!"[break][break]

Surely Wailord hadn't been able to get on land, right? Who knows what she had been running from then. Probably her own shadow.[break][break]

She offers her assistance after a moment of blubbering away and trying to convince herself that she won't drown if she's holding onto Kazimir. Stormy manages to clamber her way onto his shoulders, using her legs to anchor herself to him. When she's stationed, she manages to blast a FREEZE-DRY at the Wailord. But when it doesn't stop right away she forcibly pushes it away with PSYCHIC.

"what do you mean you don't know?!" how could she not know what was chasing her? whatever it was he was kinda glad she said that the wailords were a bunch worse than whatever was chasing her. he didn't think he would have the energy to try and fight some kind of mini boss while swimming. once the mobs were dead the arcanine held onto his dragon mage to make sure she didn't fall off his shoulders and look up to her with a look of annoyance. "so what brings ya all the way out here huh? you stalking poor ol-yeowch!" kaz gave a jerk of his whole body as he felt something bit him on his leg.

looking down he could see shapes start to circle him and stormy, and they looked pretty sinister. "goddamn fish! get away from us!" he started to kick at them as best as he could while trying to hold onto stormy and make sure he didn't dunk her into the water.

Stormy's left hand hangs onto the top of his hair, twirling her fingers to get a better grip. Her other hand points her wand anxiously back and forth as the Wailord disappear into puffs of water spray and pixels. They drop loot, which is nice, and it floats up to them slowly.[break][break]

However, she squeals in surprise and squeezes her thighs when Kazimir cries out in pain. She twists, blasting the second fish as it jumps up and out of the water. It perishes, but not before the second one bites her wand hand. She shakes it fervently, eventually swapping her wand to her other hand and holding on only with her legs as she thwacks the stupid fish with her glorified olive branch.[break][break]

"Die, die, die!"[break][break]

After the fish disappear she slumps over, practically blowing smoke. God, she hated the water.[break][break]

"Not stalking, I just couldn't help but notice you all alone."

as the fish dissolved into loot the arcanine let out a sigh of relief before looked back up to his piggybacking mage. "oh so you were about to stalk me then." this time he was actually teasing her and gave her a laugh. it was cut short as shadows crossed over them however and looking up a pair of manetines slowly descended on them. "maybe those were the things chasing you? cause i'd be scared by flying fish as well!" raising his hand he fired off more aura spheres towards them to knock them down into the water. the closer they were to the pair the easier it would be that kaz could actually hit them.
