AS EGG HUNTS BEGIN ACROSS THE REGION, azumarill come out from the harbor to enjoy the wonderfully sunny weather. however, they seem attracted to the candy eggs people have set out on the beach here. placing a momentary halt to their beach play, the azumarill swarm scampers around the sands in search of eggs meant for people![break][break]

He was unsurprised to see the effects of the weather as it spread across Hoenn. Realizing that summer was coming up, he sighed, wondering if it was going to be a good idea…

Wait, it wasn’t, because of his prosthetic limbs!

“Oh, god, this is going to be eggsasperating,” he grumbled, remembering how hot Hoennian summers got, and how terribly uncomfortable it became when his metallic limbs began cooking, nay, baking in the humid summer heat. Geez.

Plus, there were some weird… rabbit-like Pokémon on the beach! One of his least-favorite places to boot because sand getting into his joints was utter murder.

“Alfons, fly us over there to the disturbance…” he muttered, quickly unballing his Golurk and hopping onto its shoulder. There was no way he was going to walk across the sand, because sand getting into everything really pissed him off.

A huge shadow flew over most of the beachgoers as the Golurk approached where the weird water rabbits were congregating… and without further ado, a Pokéball came flying from atop the Golurk.

Who knows?

"Oh, no, no, no, no!"

The sun shined against the red-haired girl's crimson locks as she nervously paced back and forth across the nearby sands of Slateport City. She was dealing with quite a dilemma now. Nova had offered to help out some of the local businesses by scattering chocolate eggs around the area for children and those with a bit of a sweet-tooth to find. She had spent about an hour in the warm sun placing them around in fun places. Going inside one of the nearby corner stores for a break, Nova returned only to find them all gone! [break][break]

Nova wore a faint frown across her lips. She was much more irritated than her face made it look, though. "Awh man, who could've taken them? I'm going to get into tons of trouble," She groaned, stopping in place in the golden sands. "I'm only nineteen but it feels like I'm going through a whole eggstential crisis," The young lady quipped sarcastically to herself. Anto, her Mimikyu, sat soundlessly on the sand, turning its head slightly when it noticed its trainer's anxiety. [break][break]

Anto was more of the quiet type and hardly vocalized, so it came to Nova as a surprise when it began lightly squeaking. The girl gazed down at it and saw it point forward to something. Nova had to squint her eyes from the glare , but when she did look, she saw the figure of two dog Pokemon -- Growlithe and Rockruff -- and a couple of Azumarill chomping down a pile of sweet goodies. [break][break]

But those dog Pokemon were her dog Pokemon... [break][break]

It hit Nova; they must have plotted with the nearby wild Pokemon to snatch up the chocolate! The usually well-composed girl was furious. She grit her teeth and yell, "You darn mutts! Get back here!"

Flare and Copper's ears perked up. They started off in a mad dash. Their trainer was on their tail!

Apparently, there was a bunch of Azumarill who were taking over the egg hunt that was meant for the people to enjoy. Then again, from what the female Ranger could see, the wild Azumarill didn't seem to be causing 'trouble' in terms of harming people. "In all honesty, I guess one could say that this would be an 'Eggcellent' way to catch one," Angelica had said with a slight chuckle.

It was then that the female Ranger had spotted an Azumarill, digging in the sand a few feet away from her. Without giving it a second thought, she had thrown a Pokeball at the wild Aumarill, hoping that the Pokeball would keep the Azumarill inside. She had not caught a Pokemon in Hoenn at all yet, perhaps another friend for Pokemon she already had wouldn't be a bad idea. Hopefully, if she was successful, this Azumarill and her other Pokemon would get along well.

one look at this thing and she could already tell it was a disaster. was it an egg? was it a rabbit? who knows? what if she were the egg, or what if she were actually a rabbit, like that thing over there? oh, lord, now she was having an eggistential crisis. thinking was hard. thinking too much was a pain. not to her, of course: to her pokemon, who had to put up with her dumb girl energy everytime she took a shot of the moron juice. [break][break]

all she had to do was chuck a pokeball at them, right? okay, it shouldn't be too difficult, then. one, two thr-- "FFFF-- iddlesticks!" she squeals out, as she trips over... a tail? a hecking tail from someething that looked to be crying at her feet. god damn pokemon getting in her way, and making her get all family friendly. fingers crossed that her clumsy throw could have gotten anywhere.

This... this was all just so eggs-hilarting!

She'd been exploring the local riverside outlets when suddenly, seemingly out of nowhere, the streets had become engulfed in a sea of chubby blue babies! They were all so irresistibly cute that it even caused her to drop her bags of clothing and squeal! Papaya, on the other hand, looked up at her trainer with a judging look before sitting down on her haunches and scoffing at the Azumarill as she groomed her paw. She could care less.

"I need to show this to Yaria! Eee!" The pink-haired female excitedly remarked, pulling out her phone and skipping closer to the parade of Azumarill to take photos of them. When she suddenly caught a glimpse of a _golden_ bubble baby, however, she immediately stopped and awed at the sight. Tucking her phone back into her jacket pocket, the young girl bent down with her hands on her knees, and cooed. "C'mere, cutie! Lemme meet you! Abububu." She baby-talked with a pair of warm eyes.

Perhaps the golden one would come over and befriend her! And, if not, any of these blue babies would do!

What an eggceptional day for Isra to get distracted by something as charming as the swarm of Azumaril filling the harbor. her parasol looms over her, casting a shadow on the sand as she walks down it. Her rare midday walk through Slateport had taken a detour, seeking solace before the meeting that had dragged her out of her usual nightly hours.

Perhaps it was that, the unusual tiredness that made it so easy for her to nonchalantly follow one of the blue pokemon around the harbor for awhile, watching as it searched and searched for the precious eggs that people left laying about for the day. Isra couldn't even vaguely fathom why but it seemed to make people happy.

It's only after several pockets of her bag are filled with the small token the pokemon has collected that Isra offers it a pokeball. She's not sure why it chose to hide the candies with her but there's a certain sort of kinship to be had in the unexpected adventure.

a swarm of bunnies around easter? how egg-citing!

they huddle together, round and robust little creatures that all seem busy with finding something. eggs, perhaps? are they doing a scavenger hunt? oooh, maybe she should help them... with this in mind, the woman scurries closer, joining the swarm in their quest. together, they just might be able to find everything they're looking for. will they win then? she wonders what their prizes would be. one of them gives her a bright smile as she points out a stray egg and moves to pick it up.

and so, illeana busies herself with helping the swarm hunt down the remaining eggs. it's a nice distraction really, one that comes with the satisfaction of knowing that she might just be making their day. of course, she looks a little odd, all bent over surrounded by azumarill but it's all in good fun, right? besides, maybe one will even like her enough to stick around... that'd be lovely. she needs all the company she can find these days.

Avery's favourite time of year was Easter, but that should be obvious. She wore a beautiful egg-day crown fashioned in spirit of the new video game she'd been binging the past week or so. This was an eggcellent opportunity to enjoy the weather and celebrate the holiday![break][break]

And what better way than with a wonderful Azumarill swarm? Avery had jumped at the idea of even just going to see the beautiful Pokemon. She had yet to hatch an Azurill as one of her own - but she wasn't about to miss out on potentially adding a brand new friend to her family. [break][break]

"Oh my.. this has got to be the best day ever."[break][break]

She mumbles this softly through a deep sigh as she thoroughly enjoys her egg salad sandwich, cut into little egg shapes and grilled to look like there's patterns in the toast.[break][break]

Yes, she's over the top.[break][break]

But then it seems that she's missing out on an egg hunt, and she promptly runs up to greet a friendly stranger, illeana reyes. She offers her services to the egg hunt and carries a Pokeball with her as well. Y'know, just in case! [break][break]

[attr="class","athread"]It’s not often that a captured Pokemon finds itself amongst its kind. It’s even less common for Annie’s Pokemon to stumble upon a sweet feast. Zuri never missed the chance to enjoy either, let alone both, and who was Annie to stop her? The eggs-tra special rabbit rushed off to join her peers, while her trainer kept her distance and watched. As out of place as a golden Azumarill looked, she was quickly accepted by her kind. They all had the same goal, after all – loving life, and finding treats and treasures.

Soon enough, Zuri presented Annie with a gift. An egg! A sand-coated, damp egg. The girl thought she had mastered the forced grin, but her Pokemon’s frown said otherwise. Zuri quickly resolved to find a better gift for her master, and so she returned shortly after… With a friend. Another Azumarill, almost as friendly as her own, seemingly swayed by the recruitment efforts. That was Annie’s cue to get the Pokeball ready.

[attr="class","ithread"]as the days passed, the rangers' hold on her seemed to relax more and more. it seemed that she was beginning to earn their trust. today was one of those rare days where she was left to her own devices, so iris took the chance to eggs-plore the city.

though she wasn't quite sure what event was going on today, the beach seemed to be crowded. people scampered all about in search of something, though iris couldn't bring herself to ask what.

something catches her eye from amongst the sand. an egg, bright pastel in colour, which soon draws her eye to the oddly-coloured azumarill moving to pick it up. a shiny!

unable to let this opportunity pass, no matter what limitations the rangers had placed on her, iris quickly ran towards the pokemon.
