The sun remains high in the sky as she makes her way through the outskirts of Slateport. Even though the area had been reclaimed and rejuvenated by the League, she still remained cautious. So many strange occurrences had happened in and around Slateport that she wasn't about to take any chances. [break][break]

But she wasn't necessarily here to pick a fight or catch a criminal in whatever act they might be in - she was here to find Pokemon and train and enjoy the pleasant weather. But, if push came to shove and she did find someone who was up to no good.. Well then right place right time, right?

“Alright Clay let’s go, we have a long day and if we’re going to get any inventory I need you sharp.” Joe spoke to one of his many bengaled Pokemon. The Growlithe was at his side, sometimes weaving between the dark haired trainer’s legs as they walked about, nearly tripping him sometimes and others almost flawlessly getting through.

Clay barked up at the trainer, earning a sigh. “If I can’t move any of you I can probably move some tough looking Pokemon in this part of town. Put that nose to work.”

The black stripped Pokemon put his nose low to the ground and began sniffing for Pokemon but in his searching he would eventually bump into Stormy Silph , barking at the woman just once. Perhaps it was a warning or maybe it was a hello. Clay was a very unexpressive growlithe.

Before the Growlithe could run up to her and distract her with adorable, Stormy is knee-deep in a tussle with two poisonous and barbed creatures. It appears that a female Nidoran had caught the attention of an aggressive and pushy Nidorino, likely intent on bringing her home to meet his parents. Except, she was less than interested in that idea and Stormy was in the process of capturing the Nidorino for herself.[break][break]

She had since released a Delphox who brandished her PSYCHIC abilities in order to overtake the Nidorino. Stormy breathes a sigh of relief as the female Nidoran runs off into the brush to either disappear or be cornered by the man who has shown up behind her.[break][break]

A loud bark just behind her startles her, but there's little to no fear on her face as the woman turns around to gush over how absolutely adorable the Growlithe is that had grabbed her attention.[break][break]

"And who might you be? Oh my goodness! What a handsome little guy you are!"[break][break]

She has not quite taken notice of the Growlithe's trainer, as she takes a moment to throw a Pokeball at the Nidorino.[break][break]

Joe was having enough of Clay, when he told him to find a Pokemon he had gone about finding a woman instead. One that quickly showered the puppy with a kind of adoration it had rarely gotten from its trainer. In reaction to the compliment Clay would bark again in thanks or hello or whatever it means when a dog barked.

The light haired trainer spoke up, “Sorry about him,” he began, “He always seems to get away from me when we’re looking for Pokemon. Clay, c’mere.”

Clay would respond, but not before barking at the woman again and bouncing back to Joe. “What brings you out to this route miss…?”

Unaware to the two trainers a female nidoran passed by, from one end of the tall grass to the next undisturbed.

Stormy chuckles softly as her fingers continue to scratch behind the puppy Pokemon's ears. Of course, her hand retracts quickly when another voice disturbs her moment and she clears her throat before standing up straight.[break][break]

"Oh! Ahh... that's alright, actually. I have a soft spot for puppies, he really wasn't a bother at all!"[break][break]

She awkwardly scratches the back of her head, offering the man a small smile as the Growlithe barks and returns to his side. Just behind her, yet again, something rustles. However, the woman doesn't give it much thought until she properly answers the stranger.[break][break]

"Stormy, and I'm out here appreciating the fresh air, honestly! And capturing new Pokemon to train, but mostly for the fresh air."[break][break]

Delphox seems to have attracted the attention of a surprisingly affectionate Houndour. Where at first she responds with caution and defensive aggression, she finds that her PSYSHOCK is ineffective as the new puppy Pokemon brushes up against her skirts. Stormy blinks in surprise but accepts this as fate.[break][break]

After a while longer, Delphox has melted against the Houndour's adorableness and Stormy captures the Pokemon before her own becomes too overwhelmed with affection.[break][break]
