rotta runs into a houndour that appears to be more afraid of him than he is of it. but then again, rotta isn't scared of anything. he is the rattata that was integral in lance's gym challenges, after all.

Stormy blinks in surprise, eyebrows narrowing as she more closely examines his face. There's a sense of familiarity but it isn't something she can place. He may have been a stranger in a crowd, a sharp-eyed stranger that had caught her attention for only a moment.[break][break]

And it still feels odd and empowering to be recognized on the spot. She sometimes wonders if she's deserving of such recognition.[break][break]

"There are always transfers. Hoenn brings in and sends out new rangers almost daily. It's hard to keep track of them all."

a screech from up above pulls him away again. this time it isn't a target that rotta can easily hit. but the fire-bird makes things easy for him as it swoops down in an attempt to scoop the rodent up into the air, no doubt hungry and craving a meal. but an ENDEAVOR grounds the bird long enough for lance to throw a pokeball at it.
