[attr="class","witness"]So there were a few reasons he was out and about in the route. Mostly, normal type pokemon, and psychic type pokemon. And most importantly, he was hunting zigzagoons. They weren't rare but for whatever reason, maybe their pelts, they were selling strangely high. So, unless he found a dark type - which so help him he'd keep it for himself - he'd be getting some, a whole army if he had to, to sell.

Why?

Gachas.

And who knew there'd be a familiar face on the route. Creeping up to her, whatever she was doing, Abner pulled her hair and decided against slapping her ass. They weren't 'dating' after all.

"Hey bitch."

Somehow that sounded friendly. Or at least, it was supposed to, and he had no malice in his tone to suggest otherwise.

Stormy is minding her business when she feels a sharp tug on her hair. It pulls her around and she's met with a familiar face calling her a bitch. She's seeing red and she looks him up and down.[break][break]

Such a bizarre comment is followed by a grin, and he otherwise shows disinterest to having his hand cut off.

"Just try and remember, a hell of a lot more useful with my hands."

From the sky falls a very knocked out swablu. Abner eyes it, then waves up toward his noctowl who perches on a tree and awaits something else decently rare to cross her path, so she can continue to build their inboxes.

Out of habit, Abner decides to drop a pokeball on the swablu and attempt to capture it.

Fortunately, something positively radiant shows up to distract her from the follow-up response that may have made her blush had she not been so irritated with him and so preoccupied hunting for Pokemon.[break][break]

She releases a Pokemon from her belt, a Fletchinder that is prompt in his pursuit of the bumbling Bidoof. The wild Pokemon is quickly taken care of with incessant pecking and pestering, and Stormy releases him from torment by capturing him.[break][break]

Well damn, was he really being an ass? Abner didn't know when he was being an ass verses when he was being a gentleman. Had he been a gentleman at some point while in uniform? Maybe, he wouldn't be able to tell. She was right though, while on duty he did have to be on 'good behavior.' So perhaps that's what she meant.[break][break]

But, it was noted, and he knew not to call her a bitch. Even if he had been joking. And obviously not to pull her hair. Did he apologize? Hell no. He never had a momma who told him he was supposed to.[break][break]

Instead, he promptly got distracted by hearing his noctowl cry out, flapping madly out of the bushes as a wigglytuff attempted to

play rough

. A

psychic

blast was sent at the wigglytuff which only caused it to retaliate with a

disable

, which failed. Only meant one thing, the wigglytuff had probably disabled Noct's hypnosis, her go to move when it came to wild pokemon and battle in general. Put it to sleep, weaken it then knock it out.[break][break]

Abner tossed out his muk, nodding over. The blob of sludge gurgled and rumbled, before spitting out a

sludge bomb

and hitting the wigglytuff. Once it was weak enough, Abner threw a pokeball to attempt capture, quickly returning his muk before it could make a mess.[break][break]

She wasn't exactly random, she supposed, but they had only recently met and... bonded, so to speak. It seemed beyond bizarre to her for anyone that she considered an acquaintance to interact with her in such an aggressive manner. Honestly, she's not even sure she'd let a close friend do it.[break][break]

Stormy's attention is nabbed, however, by the man's Noctowl making short work of a nearby Wigglytuff. It had managed to creep up on them and, in the confusion, a Watchog darts between their bodies and disappears.

Noctowl retrieved the pokeball for Abner, dropping it in his hand as she took to a tree to

roost

. He looked the capsule over before pocketing his new ... wigglytuff. He didn't know why but, that thing showed fight, and he'd wanted it for that reason.[break][break]

Stormy's nipping at him with her sassy comments, glares, and pointing out his lack of 'manners' and gentlemanless actions... if that's a thing. It is now, cause Wizz' brain's a lil fried.[break][break]

"Guess I'll have to think about how to properly apologize then, hm?"[break][break]

From her perch in the tree, Noct spots a trumbeak and quickly glares it out of her tree. She scoots herself over to where that trumbeak had been perched and looks around in a circle, body never moving as her head spins around. When she eyes a meditite, Quickly she throws a

psychic

at the meditite and knocks it off balance. Something like a cackle comes from the owl before a

confusion

is thrown back.[break][break]

She doesn't deflect it, but instead takes the damage and remains in her perch. The meditite comes to her to attempt a

high jump kick

but misses as the noctowl takes to the air, using a

hypnosis

. The meditite hits the ground in front of Abner, who tosses a ball at it after his comment about properly apologizing.

Stormy is temporarily distracted by the man's Noctowl overhead. It drops a Pokeball before flying off to a tree.[break][break]

"I'm sure you'll figure it out."[break][break]

She says this offhandedly, further mesmerized by Abner's Pokemon and how efficiently it takes down the approaching Meditite. The display is enough to dissuade a Trumbeak from interfering. The wild bird flaps its wings in a panic before flying away.
