Yet another Dratini appeared out from the icy lake. Its Marvel Scale shone brightly with what little sun broke through the clouds. Though Remiel certainly wouldn't mind having another addition to his draciary, the little tyke dove back down below water before long. There had been no floating ice for the Kubfu to make a stand upon anyway. Catching it would have been somewhat difficult.[break][break]

So, with plenty of the lake's shoreline left to explore, Remiel continued on. There were likely more interesting specimens waiting to make themselves known. Daylight was burning rather quickly, so he hoped they would appear soon.[break][break]

A thick SMOG emerged out from the forest nearby, and a rather irate Ghastly with it. Remiel wasn't sure why it was in quite a tizzy. Needless to say, Theseus wasn't sure either. But the small cub knew better than to let himself breathe in the poisonous gas.[break][break]

As it dissipated behind the Ghastly, the Kubfu kept a close eye on the spirit and assessed when the right moment to attack would appear. When it finally did, he dashed in with an AERIAL ACE. Then, in a blur of motion, caused the Ghastly to explode and disappear into the ether completely.[break][break]

Even more Tentacool emerged out from the melting icebergs that inhabited the lake. Some didn't appear to be conscious at all, simply floating along where the gentle waves of the lake took them. Others, in the meantime, seemed confused and in a dream-like state. One of them in particular appeared to be swimming around in circles with no end.[break][break]

Remiel and Theseus stopped to observe the strange one for a moment. But it wasn't long before another wild pokémon made its presence known.[break][break]

A floating Eiscue passed them by; too far to be captured with a pokéball but close enough to gauge that it was pleased with simply dozing and drifting off. Theseus scoffed at it. Remiel turned to acknowledge the scoff but, uncertain whether it was in trouble or not, the Kubfu sharply turned away. It pretended it hadn't scoffed at all, and looked around as if some wild animal hiding in the bushes had made the noise.[break][break]

Remiel simply smiled a little. They moved on to investigate elsewhere.[break][break]

A pair of Dratini played around an iceberg as it continued to melt, nibbling at the stray tentacle of a Tentacool that remained half-frozen within it. Theseus stood at the bank of the lake just ahead, watching them and seemingly interested in joining in on the play. He could swim out there rather easily, of course. But his master likely wouldn't approve of the endeavor.

Remiel watched his cub for a bit as he calmly sauntered forward. The sun was finally beginning to dip below the horizon. Soon, the warden would blow his horn and they would be recalled to its entrance.

The Tentacool from earlier soon broke free from the iceberg it had been encased in. Though dazed and confused, the constant nibbling on its tentacle from the Dratini seemingly had managed to rouse the creature awake. It swung its limbs wildly to scare them away.[break][break]

Its tenacity proved to be efficient. The Dratini disappeared beneath the surface of the cold waters. The Tentacool was left to drift around for a moment, venting the rest of its anger, before diving below the surface itself.[break][break]

The sun was, finally, only minutes from falling. It was time to leave before it did so completely. Just as he turned to leave the mysterious glacier lake behind him, however, a small mewl reached out to him from the lake's shore.[break][break]

A young Dratini had emerged, seemingly interested in following Remiel out of its habitat and into adventures unknown. Theseus moved to battle it, but was stopped with a quick gesture from his master. He would allow the Dratini to follow them and, if it followed them past the gate, it could stay.[break][break]
