With the stakes so high, it was little surprise when Kazimir came roaring out of the gate. Hyper Beam tore up the sand, and Buster used the force of the knockback to launch herself high into the air with a volley of Dragon Pulses! She rained shots down on Ghidorah, providing cover for Zappa. 

The Heliolisk wasn't as ready as Clawitzer had been, and Goodwitch's Shadow Ball blasted him in the back as he turned away. He tumbled through the sand and scrabbled to his feet, favoring his left side. Zappa's fill popped open like an electrified umbrella, and he hissed bloody murder at the ghost. He sprinted back towards his opponent, gathering a swell of sand around him as he Bulldozed Goodwitch!

Bootes's Zac-like eyes went wide with shock as the sharp-shelled, sand-spraying, slasher shot towards him! Already in Mimic mode, he did the only thing he could do: copy Omni. His face dropped the rubbery imitation of Zac, instead becoming sharper, more triangular. 

The dual Night Slashes closed on Omastar like a pair of scissors, and his Weak Armor cracked like a geode to reveal glints of the succulent blue flesh inside. Terrified and naked, he scrabbled backwards at top speed, tossing curled handfuls of sand and broken shell into the face of his attacker. Sand Attack! Right back at ya!

"No need for a Dr. Pika!" Zac said, pulling two cans of Charja-Cola out of his Rotom fridge. "I've got your refreshments right here!" He tossed one to Rowan and winked, charmingly. "Did you know that Charja-Cola is scientifically formulated to keep you cool and level headed, even in the heat of battle?" Zac took a hearty sip. "One can is enough to keep you battling for a whole day of H star T!"

Nidoking wasn't paying attention to Zac's truthful claims about Charja-Cola. Nor was he keeping an eye on Ora. Instead, he was launching his follow up move. He had both fists planted in the sand, twisting the beach around them with a titanic Sand Tomb. The crater of sand between him and Ora swirled and twisted, becoming a raging, burning, gritty whirlpool that threatened to swallow up the Poliwrath!

Byron laughed in triumph, just as Ora's Hydro Pump hit him straight in the face. The blast of frog water went right into his eye, up his nose, and filled his mouth. He gurgled and spat, falling backwards onto the wet sand.

For a period of time, creates an area which transforms poison into clean electricity! All poison-type moves and Pokemon in the area become electric-type. When used, lets off a powerful electrical signal.

Nidoking stomped, his armored toe digging into the soft sand. The ground underfoot bubbled and steamed, and flowed towards Ora. The Scorching Sands met Ora's oncoming Earth Power, and the mighty attack's clashed. Ground churned and hissed, bubbling upwards with trapped steam and fire. The patch between the two looked like boiling quicksand!

Zac took off his oversized hat and waved it at his face. He wished there were more ocean breeze and less burning heat. 
Nidoking roared, and their battling attacks detonated in a fountain of scorched earth. Zac shielded his face as chunks of mud and sand fell around them, and when he finally looked he saw a crater had been blasted in the beach.

Ruma hurled himself away from the Hydro Pump. He slammed into the ground with each jump, cratering it before launching himself onwards again with the momentum of his pendulous arms. He circled the seahorse, keeping ahead of the powerful jet that carved trenches in the sand.

"It's pretty hard to keep Ruma at bay," Zac said, smiling at Amor. "So that Kingdra is doing one hell of a job!" Ruma was slowing. The Hydro Pump's edge sprayed him with droplets and globs of wet sand. He breathed puffs of dark smoke. "I reckon he's about to do something tremendously ambitious," Zac said, nodding in approval.

Ruma kicked off sideways, launching himself right at Kingdra, and into the path of the Hydro Pump. He roared as the blast hit him, curling into himself. His body hardened, petrified, and his Zen Mode form hurtled through the air at Kingdra, cut through the Hydro Pump like a boulder splitting a stream.

Regardless of whether or not his stony body hit Kingdra, Ruma would be out of the battle.

"Amazing work mate!" Zac called, withdrawing Ruma. The tired, angry ape had proven himself again in battle, despite his terrible disposition. "You too Aqua, and Amor." Zac said, eyes twinkling as he smiled at the pair. "Reckon you're up for a challenge then? I'm not expecting you to even dent a legendary, but do you wanna give it a shot?"
