[attr="class","hanatext"]Perhaps, she's gotten a little too used to recognising others by their mannerisms and aura they exude. Perhaps, that is why she recognises the Togekiss with relative ease, letting the not-so-tiny baby into her comfort zone and barely making a move to push it away.

"Hibiscus would be nice..." She murmurs as her fingers place one corner of the shirt to another, her eyes making sure the seams align as she zips through the process. "Bubbe's really grown... Have you been putting him through gym challenges or something?"

There's almost no reaction that comes when she hears what he has to say next, only silence as she devotes her mind to folding clothes. Or is she simply attempting to distract herself before she reaches a tipping point? Rubia seems equally uncertain, placing a hoof on Lilith's wrist and bleating comfortingly (and perhaps, considering whether she should chew on that set of colourful towels).

[attr="class","hanatext"]Try as hard as he may to occupy the doorway, Toshiaki won't ever be able to miss the slight squint she has as she peeks in, the way her grip on Rubia tightens as her nose scrunches up.

To say the least and well, to be nice in a overly roundabout manner. Toshiaki would be right in assuming she wouldn't judge him too harshly but she seems a little distracted when she takes a step in, placing her Wooloo on the ground

"What kind of tea...?" Her hands wander the wastelands of leftover clothes, gently picking them up and folding them into a neat stack on his chair. "It'd... be nice to have some."

When she tries to speak, she finds no words to explain it. Her thoughts are sharp as razors and will most definitely cut if she speaks.

"I'll keep that safe then..." She murmurs, taking the note before it somehow gets shoved right into her hands. With one final pat of the Togepi's head, the last drops of milk are cleaned from the bowls. Lilith takes a sip of her hot chocolate and sets it down, then quietly gets to her feet.

"The drink was as good as you say... so thank you..."

Her foxes look to her, before bumping shoulders with the Togepi and hopping right off the couch.

There are many questions that might be raised in her mind, but none of it stands out as much as the fact that she doesn't instinctively push him away when he gets close.

Perhaps, her senses have dulled. Perhaps, she's just too caught up in her thoughts to react to it in time. Before she can even process it, he's kissing her forehead and promising her that he'll stay by her side. What is she meant to say when he's being this honest?

"Don't make promises like that so easily..." She mutters, gently pushing him away. "It'll get you in trouble someday."

[attr="class","hanatext"]From all the rigorous lessons she's underwent, Lilith understands the reasoning behind why bartering fell out of favour with current society. And yet, when sorting through her emotions regarding this little job she'd decided to take up for som cash, she's beginning to see why no one took it. Firstly, why Macro Cosmos over Pog Bank? Secondly, why would this smaller business be targeted over a larger company?

Perhaps, it was due to a significant lack of security, to which she would have to consider the possibility of dropping out. Or perhaps, it was something a little more sinister involving competition and taking out potential threats... With all the discordance in the realm of the legendaries, she really wouldn't be surprised if humans started problems of their own.

Still, she isn't supposed to be alone on this assignment. Try as hard as she may to look around the area, she can't seem to spy signs of anyone who'd be helping out. With a sleeping Axew in hand and an excitable Mimikyu on her shoulders, she a little pressed with the matter of meeting her partner as quickly as possible.

She just prays it isn't someone she knows.

[attr="class","hanatext"]It takes a while but Toshiaki eventually returns, allowing her to let go of a breath she didn't know she'd been holding onto. Her already chipped nails have been carefully picked at, the uneven edges peeled away as she counts the seconds going by.

"Kind of..." Taking the cups of hot milk from his hands, Lilith places it before her pokemon and watches as they hungrily lap it up. "Nothing's new, really. Been places, seen things, stayed out of trouble."

For as much as she could afford to. With her fate so unnaturally entwined with the dark, there are times where she simply can't hide away from danger itself. When they leave marks, they do it with the intention of taking her bounty - Merciless and cruel as they view her as nothing more than a piece of property to be returned to where it belongs.
