Hand and hand, they walk the familiar streets of Goldenrod. He doesn't even need to look at Lex to know how she's feeling. After so long away, being home must feel like a dream. A temporary slice of paradise made better by the ring worn on her finger.

The golden band is little more than practicality. Lex is devoted to him entirely without it. Yet Killian's chest fills with an airiness capable of lifting him off his feet. They know they're the only ones for each other, but this lets the rest of the world in on the ill-kept secret.

He smiled, squeezing her hand and admiring her as she admired the ring. "I'm sure." more than sure. If it was, then assuredly, she'd have said no, rejected him, and stomped his heart into the ground.

A nightmare this was not.

"What do you say we stop by the Murkrow's Nest?" that dingy old bar, he grinned, recalling the wild nights he and Lex shared inside its walls.

"Perfect place to kick things off, don't you think?"

Killian enters the gym dressed in casual attire - a black t-shirt and blue jeans. All the necessary paperwork should be in order. After all, Killian Decker might be a reformed criminal, but that's hardly a cause for suspicion. He's done his time, and this is him trying to prove that.

"Yo." he waved, black Haxrous already at his side. His lips curled into a friendly smile. "I'm ready to begin whenever." assuming he won, this would be badge number four.

Tense excitement shivers his spine as the seven aliens encircle the meteorite. Killian's briefly reminded of his collection of rats. How they acted better as a pack than they ever did on their own. Hopefully, the same is true when it comes to the Beheeyem.

"Whether it works or not. The fact you offered to help at all - "

He's cut off, the Beheeyem's sudden trance derailing his train of thought. Once bright lights dim, only to go haywire and flash like strobe lights. Their polyphonic orchestra of beeps forms a pattern that Killian's quick to recognize.

"That's...Morso Code."

Why are they signaling in Morso Code of all things? Focused, his ears twitch as he puts together the beeps and pauses. It goes by so fast that Killian might not have been able to piece it together if they hadn't repeated the code

"It's mostly numbers."

None of them meant anything to him, but the fact they kept repeating one, in particular, caught his attention.

"99943." he muttered.

Killian considered his approach. The words to use and the lies to tell. Skirting the truth is always option, perhaps the best one give the scenario. "No, but I am an admirer of the stars." he stepped forward, arms at his back, hands folded together.

Hypothetical? A brow arched, curiosity a familiar paint brushed across his features. "I've got plenty of time. Anything to keep me away from the crowd a bit longer." though he did miss Alexandra Briarwood's company. The sight of the ring on her finger brought him no greater joy.

"Zenji it is." what a relief. Too many people in Rocket used surnames. Almost like they were trying to keep the rest of the world at a distance. Nice to meet someone, League or not, that threw aside the formalities.

"And I'm Ian." he offered another friendly smile before continuing, "Now, about this hypothetical of yours? I'm assuming it relates to meteors in someway, no?"

He couldn't explain why either. The search to get away led him to the meteorite exhibit and zenji jabami. The man was musing quietly to himself. About a particular meteorite and the location of something specifically.

The admin could wager a guess as to both. He approached from behind, Espeon on his shoulder announcing there presence with a purr.

"And what, Professor Jamabi, might you be trying to find? he flashed the man a smile. "Depending on what it is, perhaps I could help?" opportunity or what smelled like it if he could play his cards right.

From rats to floating meteors. Killian was amassing quite the weird collection of Pokemon. He needed the Minior for something less nefarious and trolly, however. Both hands in his pockets and an incense burning to attract Rock-types, he advanced down the route with a smile.
