  as the dreepy versus dreepy fight happens, button is very confused by the mirror image. so confused that he rattles the wall a little more and a small chunk of fossil pops off, but it is still usable! unfortunately it might be a little harder to solve the 3rd round puzzle unless you keep track of the piece that popped off as well.

  in the pit a light begins to glow and circle around you quickly, a humming sound as it blinks in and out of the darkness with almost a pulsating beat. if you look closely you might recognize it as a very familiar pokemon. but looking that closely also means looking for trouble as it suddenly glows even brighter and a power gem rocket towards you in the darkness.   of course there's always dangers in the deep and this time it's no different. slushie isn't particularly fond of people invading it's waters. and suddenly they begin to shift to freezing temperatures. gaping maw open the arctovish swims towards you. uh-oh. you better stop it before a fossil shatters from the cold or impact.   skittles deemed himself the only one allowed to break up rocks with such vigor a long time ago. so seeing some stranger come in and break up his territory has made him a little... angry. of course when weren't craniados angry? that being said kyle now has a very angry little dinosaur running full speed at him using head smash. okay so, maybe he was just a little bit, a LITTLE BIT, late showing up to the second part of the contest. first he'd needed to go to the bathroom and since there was a convenience store there of course he was just going to go in there. but then there had been a line. and then in line he realized he was hungry. and if he was hungry then he was going to need to get something to drink to wash it down. but he couldn't just show up with his own drink and snack whenever he had a teammate. and it would be weird if him and melody were the only two people drinking and eating while their pokemon did stuff on the field. it was honest to arceus just a chain reaction of shit that happened.

so there he was with a huge tray of drinks and bags full of snacks as he walked on the field with sourball and joycon. sure, it wasn't battling on this field but it was sure as hell technically using the biome to get snacks for everyone, right? the shop was part of the biome. he'd even picked up a few extra things which seemed to be in favor of luck since there was a random stranger just sitting in the middle of the field or whatever. after all he'd picked things up for the judges too. that had been extra nice of him. "sorry everyone! there was a line at the bathroom and you know how it goes!"

he hoped melody could forgive him for being a little bit late as he started passing out the gas station slushies. that was obviously the best place to get slushies. anyone who argued was wrong and that was the end of that. joycon carried one of the drinks over to the old man sitting on the field. after all if he was there then he was probably there for a reason, and a refreshing drink and a snack would probably help that out while he was waiting for whatever it was. it was too bad he missed the cat parade, he loved cats. sourball however took his place on the field, trying to look extremely ball like so that someone might mistake him for it. after all if they hit him he could just explode or something. but of course no one would probably fall for that.

joycon used its agility to deliver drinks and snacks to the other teams so that glitch wouldn't have to run around doing it. after all he needed to showcase his pokemon or whatever, right?

he didn't even know what kind of pokemon that is but if it was eating metal he didn't want it near a lot of his pokemon to be honest. that would be a lot of work explaining also why a weird little pokemon had managed to eat a hole in the sub. again. but the first time definitely wasn't his fault considering he didn't have anything to do with a genesect. but that was another story for another time. he didn't realized they would be bringing children along though. he vaguely recognized eris when they were hanging around but he really hoped that the rest of the rockets remembered that if they saw him then they didn't know him, unless it was as a gym leader. he couldn't afford to have his cover blown.

"is that a child? is that two children?" he wasn't sure what was going on. all he really knew was that someone was going off on someone in an ugly uniform for not keeping this place clean. "i thought we were here to do something else, not yell at these guys?" it was confusing but he didn't really care either. flipping his bag open he made sure that his pokeballs were secure if something did start to happen. "did your raichu find something?" since it was sparking up he wondered if it had finally found one of those weird metal things they were looking for. or maybe this was just a wild zangoose chase.

literally no one ever told glitch that he was full of good ideas, especially since he was planning what he was planning right now for the intro to his contest entry. goggles on, gloves on, knee pads on. everything was good to go as he adjusted himself on top of the electrode he took a deep breath. electric sparks flying around them on the power lines he wondered for a moment if this would be a bad idea. but then again he also didn't care now that he was in this position. joycon also had a pair of goggles on, for safety for the porygon of course. it beeped in his ears as sourball began to move, using discharge to stop the extra electricity from harming his rider.

"let's get shocking!" glitch yelled as they zoomed around on the electric lines above the rest of the contestants. carefully balancing to stand on top of the moving pokemon and fist pumping in the air. as he did joycon used tri-attack from his position to make it appear as though glitch had somehow managed to summon fire, electricity and ice all on his own and into the air. this was dangerous and stupid but at least he hadn't been the one to drive a car nearly into the judges. with joycon using agility now to get ahead of the rolling duo he led the electric train with great speeds, gathering up more and more electricity as they went and sourball using discharge to get rid of it.

sparks flew through the air and glitch swallowed hard as it was time for the next part. he trusted his pokemon absolutely but they hadn't really been able to practice it much. not when there was a lot to do with being legally allowed to play on powerlines. but also he didn't care. pushing up he jumped from the electrode's back and did a flip that felt like it was going to rip his stomach open with how wide it was. as it looked like he was going to eat shit on the concrete he felt sourball catch him in the air, magnet rise working well with the metal implants in the boots he'd installed.

his heart felt as though it was going to explode. but of course it didn't. and sourball floated him back to the ground as joycon settled in his arms. glad that it's trainer was alright. "my name is glitch maverick and this is sourball and joycon. i trust both of them with my life obviously since i'm willing to ride a powerline and jump from a great height in order to show them off." sourball sparked once more in excitement as the introductions started. "electricity is all over the place in urban climates and inevitably so is technology. meaning that an electric type and a porygon fit right in!" holding up joycon he grinned as the little guy made a modem dial up noise. he loved his pokemon a lot and he really hoped that it showed.

miles wouldn't be the first person he helped to make their dorm room a little bit more... not fucking suckish and he probably wouldn't be the last either since there were always people who wanted to come in and be more comfortable. people worked better whenever they were able to come home to a comfortable bed. so he wasn't surprised whenever miles came to him asking for help with it. of course he would oblige. when miles came back, c.c. met him at the door. the hatterene already knew what was up when glitch brought other grunts here and her strange hand was held out for the bag of clothes. "just hand over whatever you need mended to her." after all that's what she was good at.

"of course, taki can carry it in whenever you're ready for it." his conkeldurr was an invaluable member of his team recently with all the work that had to be done. "the base is built out of pallets and then the top is a mattress. it looks rustic when it's not covered with comfortable blankets." a full bedframe was a little harder to sneak in but the mattresses were an easy peasy fix. "have a seat if you want. don't bother sprite though it's recharging." the porygon2 beeped a little bit at the mention of its name.

konpeito the minior floated down slowly to meet miles, circling his head a bit to examine him. it was a little weirdo but glitch loved it. after all catching that little dude had been a blast. he still kind of wanted more of them in different colors though.
