"Not too much." A voice calls from further ahead, a gentle reminder to the Luxray that tips the can. "Too much water and you'll drown them."[break][break]

He sighs, scrunching his nose as he pulls the can upright. He's a fighter, not a gardener. He knows how to eat whatever is grown in this garden, not so much tend to it well. If it weren't for Isaac Merlo being busy, he would have been lazing upon the shaded porch, all curled up for a nap and enjoying the fresh breeze.[break][break]

"Reiner! Can you help me dig?"[break][break]

Tired eyes squint at the daring child, a grunt indicating just how not on board he is with the idea. After all, he is a proud feline. Not some excitable dog, like Eyja.

The part that remains rather strange to her is the fact that it is merely a ghost. Would it not make more sense for a spirit to show up in the borders? Though, that was assuming the two rifts existed on the same plane.[break][break]

"A strange sound?" The rustle of sand accompanies the howl of winds and the rampant digging. "Not... really?"[break][break]

Then, a soft clunk as Mesprit squeals in excitement. In the sand lies the makings of something strange: A stick... attached to a circular stone plate with many equal markings.[break][break]

"A sundial?" Buried next to an obelisk with missing runes. "Hmm... we might be standing on a buried altar of sorts."[break][break]

Kneeling down, she dares to reach, helping to brush away the remaining sand to gain a better look. Her fingers brush over the carved markings, gently brushing up against the gnomon when she feels it click. One notch over, the shadows casted upon the dial plate are altered.[break][break]

"Huh. What's the point of this sundial if you can just... alter what time it is?"

There are many things she could say to Cass. Many, many ways she could answer that question. But in the end, holding her tongue and letting Hideo speak for them must be the smartest choice. As Reiner leans his hands in her lap, she busies herself with threading her fingers through Reiner's mane. Listens to the many other questions that Cass has, raises a brow at the silence that falls.[break][break]

"Hang out with the trio, watch over them as they recover, learn more about them I guess? No real plans." She hums. "Far as I'm concerned, I'm still considered a civilian. So even though Mes is with me, I'm not really obligated to do anything big like... I dunno, fight? Or stuff. Hideo has League duties, but that's mostly 'cos he's a gym leader."[break][break]

For a moment, Mesprit looks up, cooing at Eris with a curious look. And all the while, their devious plan unfolds: Uxie opens the next pizza box to... another pizza box, but this time with a number lock?[break][break]

"Azelf will heal in time. If I've figured anything out whilst hanging out with Mesprit, it's that their powers aren't really limited by their gems." A finger raises, subconsciously points to her forehead. "If need be, I could probably ask my brother if he's willing to provide us with some healing waters from Suicune. Fixes all kinds of injuries and stuff. Real magical stuff."[break][break]

Probably a really weird suggestion without any context, but she's happy to elaborate if the need arises.

"It's okay. Things were pretty messy. I'd be pretty impressed if you came straight here after all that happened." A quiet sip punctuates her sentences. "Dealing with the pixies is also pretty surreal. You're taking it rather well for someone who's been tossed head first into this."[break][break]

As if emphasising her explanation, Mesprit smirks at Uxie's bravery and cackles along with cruel fate. For you see, within that box of pizza was... another box.[break][break]

"I won't mention anything about you. But I have to say that there were probably a whole bunch of witnesses to us using those red chains." There are chairs present within this room. Eris finds it most comfortable to sit on the table. "Sooner or later, the more they want Azelf on their side, the more they will try to find you."[break][break]

Flattened palms against her cup begin to tent as she taps her fingertips on it. A steady rhythm that dulls her tongue and tone.[break][break]

"Mmm, if we wanna talk the basics... Uxie, Mesprit and Azelf are known as the Lake Trio, holding domains over knowledge, emotions and willpower respectively. Hideo over there has been chosen by Uxie, and I by Mesprit to be..." Her eyes turn to the pixie, a brow raised as the sprite waggles their brows back, as if attempting to get her to understand their brilliance on this masterplan against Uxie. "Partners, is probably the best way to explain it. They hang out with us, keep us from harm, do..."[break][break]

Another glance over to Mesprit, who now seems to be waggling their brows at Uxie as if daring them to open the next box.[break][break]

"Pixie stuff. They're like regular pokemon companions just... a lot more of a handful."[break][break]

That gaze finally falls to Cass. A mismatched pair of red and pink irises looking her up and down like a curious Delcatty.[break][break]

"You heard Azelf, didn't you? Back during that prison break?" At the very least, she assumes she did. No one else was out there hucking red chains at the big bads like Cass was. "Whatever the reason may be, Azelf has acknowledged you. Which leads us to this very point in time."

[attr="class","eris109"]With how intimately Eris has come to know Petalburg, her people and the vast expanse of forest surrounding her, there are very few people that can escape her whilst in the city. Especially when they're paired with such an unforgettable partner pokemon.[break][break]

"Yuina!" A bright smile, a hop in her step, a wave. With a bag firmly strapped to her back and her usual adventuring outfit, she very much resembles someone about to go on a long excursion. "I brought snacks!"[break][break]

And as always, Reiner is by her side, his resting face unreadable even as he draws closer. At the very least, he stops to offer Daikenki a nod, a greeting from one fighter to another. "You look cool..." Non-stop chatter. It's like all the words she'd been holding in that prison suddenly come gushing out. "Is that your sygna suit? What can you do with it??"

It's almost as if they simply walked in with their own two feet, or had been there all along. And when they spy a free piece of pizza being shoved into an unwilling sibling's face, they are there on the sidelines, inhaling it with all their might until it's pried free of Uxie's grip and flies right into their mouth.[break][break]

"Oh- that's..." The entrance of the third comes with a brand new scent. Yet another box of pizza balanced upon Reiner's head and several cups of boba tea juggled in Eris' hands. "Mes, that's a hidden talent. And one that you should only unleash upon your worst enemies."[break][break]

Read: Never. Seeing it once was horrifying enough.[break][break]

Her heel helps to bump the door shut on the way in, fully closing this room off from the world. On the other hand, Reiner simply busies himself with trying to find a new space to place the additional box down, sighing as Mesprit hurriedly taps at the spot beside them with a smug grin. And when the stage is set, they'll lay an arm over the top and lean their weight on the sturdy box.[break][break]

Today is the day the sprite of emotions will surpass the sprite of knowledge in its own domain. Today, Uxie would discover the phenomenon of the Schrodinger's pizza. In an unopened box of pizza, lay two possibilities - The presence of a hot pizza oozing with cheesy goodness, or the absence (death) of such a beautiful masterpiece.[break][break]

"So..." Ignoring the whole competition between Mesprit and Uxie, Eris slides a cup over to Hideo, then turns her attention to Cass and gingerly hands her the other. "First things first, uhhh... lemme just say that whatever is said in this room should probably mostly stay in this room. With exception of what we're obliged to report, I mean."

With Eyja in the lead, Eris is rather certain that things will work out, especially when the Yamper barks at the Zoroark to follow her lead. Though small compared to those grazing Mareep, the hound most definitely possesses a presence. She waddles up to the flock, barely making a sound as she brushes past their soft fleece. And with a small crackle of electricity, she's gotten the attention of some who begin to follow.[break][break]
