Don't think. Just keep moving towards safety. Towards another tomorrow, far away from the devil's playground he was in right now. Far away from the heartless bastards that could pull a trigger without flinching. Far away from the monstrosities that fought in the sky, whirling unknown powers that a simple boy like him couldn't even begin to comprehend.
Ezra chopped at his bottom lip. No matter how much he attempted to maintain his attention onto the objective that is safety, his thoughts would still continue to wander back to what he saw. What he just witnessed. Those things...what were they? Why were they there? Thinking back, he remembered being told about something called avatars? People who harness the abilities of legendries, demi-gods in their own right.
"Choi...were those avatars?" The words were light. Like droplets of rain pattering on the window during a quiet night. He understood their position, and that those questions weren't truly warranted right now, but he couldn't help but ask. To receive at least one answer to his plethora of questions. Though, when the answer was received, his reaction wouldn't be positive. Rather, a contortion of frustration and anger and hurt would appear across his features. He would quietly curse to himself, shake his head, and continue to fester in a pool of his own thoughts.
What a world they lived in. A world where Demigods played with the lives of the mortals around them, flinging about their godly powers without consideration of whether it's appropriate. To be blessed with such gifts and use them here. He knew, due to his rank, that he couldn't begin to wrap his mind around the tiny details hidden behind a simple acquisition mission. But damn did he know that there was absolutely no need to risk the lives of innocent workers by carelessly calling upon such unworldly powers. That there was no need to flaunt their strength through purposeless battles. There was no need to further bloodshed, yet here he was, barely escaping with his own life. Useless. Unable to even begin to compare. He hated them. Despised them and anyone else who would use their strength in such reckless ways.
“She can heal him, or teleport you away, but not both.”
His head shot up. Before he knew it, Lulu Flint was in front of them again, through the use of another unknown ability. He nodded to her words, though, it was clear he was in no state to receive them. Silent resentment was flowing through his veins. The type of resentment that could destroy or reinvent a man. Still, he nodded and accepted the Poke ball from her without much a fuss. There wasn't much he could utter out between ragged breaths anyways.
After she left, Ezra quickly returned Sol and Ty back into their balls, leaving only Mushy out for protection. "I-I, uh, let's teleport us out of here, yeah?" He slapped on another grin for Chu-e. It didn't do much to hide the clearly evident emotions he was feeling, but it was all Ezra could afford to do.
The sound of Mushy's cries suddenly cracked the stillness around them, warning the two of the incoming foe. Eye brows raised, Ezra turned his head back, barely granting himself the enough time to witness Mushy come out to block the incoming attack by meeting it with a Mach Punch.
"H-hey now, uh, no need for violence! We're, uh, just hikers that are trying to head home." Rattled, Ezra knew to discreetly slip Chu-e Choi Lulu's Poke ball, as he would know how to use the Gardevoir better than he would. To heal or to teleport - that's something choi had to decide, not him.
TLDR; - Still runnin' away - goes through inner thoughts about avatars - Takes the Pokeball from Lulu - suggests teleporting over healing - Breloom (Mushy) blocks/meets Kazimir Wynter 's fist with Mach punch - told Kaz that they (chu-e and him) are just hikers cause uhhh - Hands Chu-e the Gardevoir poke ball Lulu gave them
