Having seen the beast himself a time or two and having felt the pressure of just being in its presence there certainly was something enticing there. Not quite Miles' want for himself but he could see how one would lust for it. And to say the bird didn't give Gavin power was simply untrue. That said, Miles didn't believe that the Lugia was the source of the man's power either. "Take your first left in the vent, follow past the second. You'll be lead to fan. It should be moving slow enough to pass through, time yourself carefully." He no longer has eyes on the man of course, but he's memorized the layout of the vent system or at least the portions of it necessary for the operation. "You'll drop through the ceiling at your first chance following the fan, but the floor below is pressure-sensitive. I trust you to be light on your feet."

It's now that Miles stands from his chair beginning to pack his own things lest he misses the opportunity to make his own escape. "As per our conversation with all due respect my friend, there's no power like that that doesn't come without due consequence." Miles doesn't know the specifics of the contract the shadow bird had with Gavin, but he's sure the terms and conditions of their union aren't all in the rocket's favor. "Of course there's no reason to dissuade you, but a word of advice. He thinks back on knowledge the departed had given him long ago. "I was always taught there's a tool specific to every job. A hammer for a nail, a wrench for a bolt, etc. Are you seeking the proper tool? Something to think about." Though as far as the hammer that was shadow lugia everything might as well be a nail.

He's enjoyed the conversation with Rowan thus far he was ambitious and sought something Miles found himself needing to a degree for reasons not too far from his own. With his own set of tools wrapped Miles spies the monitors a final time noting the guards had broken up the battle and were on their way back to their positions.

"The target will be in the center of the room once you land. The power is set to go out in 30 seconds, disabling any laser security in the room. That leaves you with about 15 seconds to free the target. Once you remove it the auxillary power will activate and the alarms will sound. There's no way around the alarms so I'd suggest being as blunt as you are quick in your removal of the target. Once you've secured it I'll facilitate your escape. I'll no longer have eyes on you as well." Something to note.

Eyes glaze over the battle an assortment of quick moves from the flying type pokemon strike true quickly felling the noxious opponent only for the battle to drive another wild pokemon into combat. Miles slides a pokeball as the fletchinder seeks battle, eyes moving from Theo who has long since stepped aside expecting the researcher to show his worth. As the pokeball flies toward the fletchinder Miles calls out his first technique, "Aqua Jet." the red light transforming into a cascade of water immediately slamming into the fire type. As the fletchinder's forced back the water fades revealing an Empoleon in all its majesty. The fletchinder manages to recover retaliating with a flame charge, but the Empoleon refuses to back down taking the burning charge unflinchingly. Miles has a second technique prepared, "Whirlpool." And so the bird is consumed in spiraling waves steam rising in the burning path for seconds on end as the water and its captor crashes down against the path's warm floors. As the steam rises, the tailwind helping dissipate the wet smoke the fletchinder is revealed unconscious before the two, or it is until a pokeball flies enveloping its form.

"If I may, why exactly have you called me out here sir." He asks now, if only because he'll be able to better assist his older coworker if he knows what exactly the point of this excursion is. That said some training never hurt, especially as the organization's eyes seemed to be on him as of late.

And he prays he hasn't said aloud eyes falling on the bear built to lay an assortment of hands. However, the man's earlier statement isn't yet forgotten despite the extraneous order placed upon him. He steps just outside of the beast's reach eyes glued to its arms.

It's less the jolt and more the sudden cold that wakes him, though the loss of warmth is more than subpar for the stirring sleeper's mood. At the call of his name alarmed his eyes jolt open body up first falling on the woman who stole all the covers before then darting to whatever it was that alarmed her.

The creature at the door raises its new very sharp arms happy to see its trainer awake, and while under any other circumstance the researcher would have been able to put two and two together, waking up startled, bare and cold, to something very sharp only feet away left the trainer unprepared for such evolution and as such his brain is concerned with this new bladed shellfish pokemon would carving him and more importantly his date up. And that's where this new morning would start. What metaphor the situation made for the budding relationship couldn't be said, but if nothing else it would be entertaining.

There's apprehension in following the request but after eyeing the pokemon for a moment miles acquiesces sorting through the uniforms quickly handing the ill-fitting odds and ends to the Hattrene to do with as she pleased. "Much obliged." It's more to the pokemon than the associate this time around. More than that though the associate certainly had a system. He could see why the organization had him work with the fresher recruits. Not only was he social, but he was assiduous in all onboarding matters, even his team seemed to know exactly what the routine was, speaking on how well trained they were. "I see this isn't your first rodeo." He comments taking a seat on the bed judging it only as one could careful to avoid the porygon2. He's then greeted by the next member of the man's team a minior. who'd circle the man the shell-covered astroid pokemon was adorable if a little intrusive.

"I have a feeling we'll be seeing much of each other Glitch." He'd need allies to make it through this experience and there was no one he could think better than this coworker to be his first. "That said, I believe I have some pallets to collect, Any final nuggets of knowledge for someone fresh in the system?"

He’s still a grunt, more engaged now, but not quite seasoned. When he’s given the instructive to accompany theo into the path there’s no complaint, a curiousness perhaps on what business the man had, but he’s not one to question in such a benign situation.

It’s a slow day in all aspects excluding mental. A day of typing opposed to tinkering. There are no latin constructions or clauses for this type of day or if there are Miles cares too little to search for them, it was time that could be spent working, achieving.

The clicking of his keyboard, the sifting of information there’s peace in this mundanity 2000 leagues under the sea. The rapping on his door knuckles on cool steel forces him from his focus. A quick glance at his schedule confirms he has no planned visitors for another few hours at the least and so the man minimizes whatever document he was scrubbing through (an old habit) before making his way to the door curious opposed to annoyed.

His lab is large, but his office is small. enough to fit a desk, three or so chairs and a board that found itself filled to the brim with meetings, projects and whatever other engagements Miles had over the course of his month.

His guest is revealed to be a doctor the darker-skinned man had heard more than a rumor or two about.

“Dr. Umbra, And to what do I owe the honor?” there’s respect there. A noticeable choice in using his actual title as opposed to what the shadows deigned him. Though he must admit if only internally that for all the names out there, ‘Hades’ certainly was a good one.

He’s still a grunt some nameless peon not amazed but interested in what lied just outside the steel walls of the sub. He’s been assigned to training another body to deigned to enact the will of rocket upon the Region despite his personal inclinations. He has goals a plan, but no connections and so he’s here at the bottom literally and figuratively. The instructor seems as strict as he is uninterested.

“Miles Sharp sir.” There’s no oomph in his voice but it doesn’t lack respect. An eye moves to the gentleman beside him, another unknown despite his handsome features.

It's time to get messy

She pushes through him, through her own indecision and doubts finally allowing herself to consume all the darkness has to offer. But the darkness doesn't back down accepting her intensity, her fire, and all else that comes with it. He is hers to use, it's all he wants in the moment, to be coveted just as he covets her. If she truly was the sun then he'd be her moon a place to rest because even the sun cannot shine without rest. He's not arrogant enough to think he can protect her but to help rejuvenate her? To kindle those dazzling flames when her duties to all threaten to smother them. He could take pride in that, and as such was an answer to his conundrum.

He's heard of her warrior spirit and seen glimmers of it, but never has he been subjected to her power, he's beginning to understand her strength. When she gives space for him to reciprocate he wastes no time taking, needing her fire. He takes as much, no even more than he can handle. His skin tingles and burns in a way it's never done before enticing him further, he needs to see this through to the end, not only for the sensation but to show her he can. To show her how much this night has meant to him. He wants it all regardless of what that means.

He's a container specially crafted for her flames and constantly it threatens to spill over, but never does it, growing and shrinking as it needs. He pushes deeper into her and it's here in this moment of need that the scene is overcome by blinding light or pitch blackness dependent entirely on one's perspective.

His room is filled with an assortment of books and tomes, framed posters of bands long since disbanded, and esoteric art that at 18 seemed mature and sophisticated but at 26 feels 'corny' for lack of a better word. Still there are remnants of his current style; a love for knowledge is prevalent pictures of deserts and ruins cover what aforementioned art doesn't. Places he dreamed of going when archeology was at the forefront of his mind and research. And for what it's worth the room has style despite aspects that could easily be picked at.

He's unconscious as the sunlight begins to peek through the blinds. His arm finds itself wrapped around his partner's body, not unlike the rest of his form curled around her. Even in this phase of unconsciousness, it's apparent he hasn't been this at peace in a long while. He nestles her almost unconsciously only for an odd sound completely out of place causing him to drift once again.

The Kabutops stands at the entrance of the room, the pokemon having managed to fit through the hallway waiting on its morning meal or something of the sort, while its trainer sleeps. He never did recall his team in the aftermath of the evening, did he? Well, certainly an issue to be worked out later.
