Instincts rattle at the scratched marks, carved into every surface that he can possibly see. Stepping up to them as they pass, his fingers trail across the gashes and his thoughts churn. There had been an incident in Mauville earlier in the year, hadn't there? Where giant streaks of destruction had been left in the woods there? From what he had remembered, there were remnants of Megalopolans dumped and left to fester - A rather fascinating sight, if you could bear the stench for more than a few seconds.

These marks had been made by brute strength, chipped at the edges and unrefined in their cut. From the looks of things, they were somewhat of a bumbling mess too, their tail possibly having caused some of this wreckage. But before he can continue examining the scene, he recoils at a rather acrid scent.

Bandages and cloth are immediately pulled from a pouch, pain searing across his tongue as he kneels down next to the closest pokemon - Alive but wheezing, losing blood fast and responding sluggishly to stimulus.

"Separate those who are dead and still alive." He barks, beginning to apply pressure on the largest wounds while glancing over the rest. It takes a bit of ruffling through matted fur to find the cause but when he does, it's clear to see that the cuts are strangely different from that left on their surroundings. Whistling to Tempest Quinn and Felix Gallagher, he gives them but a moment to react before tossing spare pieces of cloth at them. "Muzzle them if you need to, then press on their wounds firmly."

His Comfey is called upon, barely given a moment to process the situation before he's signalled to help. A wave of Aromatherapy floods the clearing and the posypicker quickly hovers to anyone he can reach to provide a burst of Floral Healing. In the meantime, Ryuuzaki finishes up by tying a makeshift torniquet around the Poochyena's limb, then moves to the next patient.

To be sent to infiltrate the League is to be given the Sunday usual. After all, barely any of them have reason to suspect a pokevet that has worked with them for years. There's barely a bone in him that's unfamiliar with the approach to this matter, his ID slipped into his pocket as he strolls through the barracks without much haste. The personnel here barely spare him a glance when he rounds the corner and even fewer notice the presence of his pokemon trailing from the shadows.

"Sorry for the wait, fellas." He grins, a hand scratching at his neck as he takes a look at the place and whistles. Something really did a lot of work in creating this masterpiece of a destruction, though perhaps they had a little too much fun doing so. "Even when she's dead, she still causes trouble..." Humming, he'll eye the nameplate that Felix Gallagher points out, examining the remnant pokeballs strewn about before letting his gaze wander to the hole in the wall.

"Our ex-champion's pokemons decided to have themselves a riot." As he walks closer to makeshift exit, he's idly tossing the pokeball up and catching it when it falls. "Broke off into the city and all..." Except for one.

He's intrigued by the isolated footprints, a smile tugging at his lips as his fingers trace the outlines. It's clunky and deeper than the rest, a large beast that decided to roam off into the wilds instead of following their little critter friends.

"Over here." If his calls aren't enough, he whistles to catch their attention. Frost begins to gather in the trails, a frozen nose placed to the track as the Glaceon attempts to grab a scent.

Partners for life, how adorable... If only he could say Skadi was as passionate about keeping him safe as Fable was with Casanova. Still, the thought isn't quite enough distract him from the prize, a brief glance over the box yielding details that he'll keep in mind for later.

"Let's start with shifting the rest then," he hums, gesturing for his Glaceon to lead the way. And she does by coating the bottom of the larger crates with ice, tapping it with one box to ensure that they're sufficiently thick enough to bear the burden of movement. In the meantime, Ryuuzaki's already taking hold of the smaller boxes, opening them just slightly to give the pokemon within a lookover before closing them back in.

Snow is a rather rare but welcome sight. It blankets the land in an everlasting childhood and swaddles the youth in quilts of wonder and cheer. Even the usually grumpy and pessimistic Skadi looks enthralled for once, prancing and skidding through the snow as she paves a path of ice with her frosted breath. That does bring up the thought - If he moved to a region with greater snowfall, would she slowly be conditioned to let go of that innate snootiness?

Or perhaps, it's just one of her rare days of being in such a good mood. After all, it takes barely two seconds of his attention slipping for there to be a shrill yelp and a feisty snarl. Given the jolly atmosphere of this event right here, he's pretty much legally obligated to stop the Glaceon from bullying another, a firm grip scruffing her by the neck as he lifts her up from her prey.

Stiffness is met with a gentle sort of warmth, a smirk tugging at the ends of his lips as he side-eyes the angsty Zoroark. Must be some kind of faithful companion, close enough to be wary of his presence.

Alice ensnares the ravenous beast by not luck but sheer skill, returning him all the breathing space to herd up any stragglers and calm the frightened Corsola. Once they clear the open waters into Route 129, Ryuuzaki is more than delighted to surface with Primarina by his side, yanking off his goggles and cursing slightly when salt water enters his eye.

"My saviour." He grins, "Make sure to stay out of the water when you release it back to the wild." After that quick chomp of his shoulder, Ryuuzaki really isn't sure if this shark might have a taste for flesh and blood... Probably not, but it helps to be cautious anyways! "Thanks for your assistance this time around, Miss Alice. Next time, I'll try not to look too bad in front of you. Or you know, you could ignore my blunders! I'm probably better at fixing pokemon up than diving in open waters."

Over the past few weeks, Ryuuzaki has realised that the duty of cat retriever often falls upon his shoulders... and while it doesn't entirely suck, it's not the best for his final brain cells that are struggling to function as is. Thankfully, Skadi has more than memorised the scent of various cats just to assist him with this little mission. All they need to do now is find the missing cats and bring them back to the clinic until their owners come to collect them.
