“Hmm,” she hummed, softly, to herself. This was supposed to be an exhibit, after all. So, it had to be artful, perfect. At least mother would say so. Eve was somewhat happy so far, given that her Pokemon seemed to enjoy this little place to amuse themselves when they were not on the road. Swablu in particular just liked flying about. Sure, Noivern could do so too, but he had more fun hanging from the shack’s roof.

That was resembling her much more, just hanging back and observing, though somehow, she still felt a little restless. Just because someone called it an exhibit, really. Usually she was pretty good at treating all this as a vacation and rest, somewhat uncaring. But when something was called that, it brought expectations with it. And expectations meant perfection, which was always so dreadfully difficult to achieve. Eve sighed to herself, before briefly chuckling when Swablu landed on her head and joyfully cried out its name. Well, maybe this was enough, for now.

Evette here has lived for a year or so in Alola and has really taken a liking to it back then, especially with the customs and folklore of the place. Maybe she visited that clan of Nani's and took a liking to what they do, being a bit of a dragon fan herself. She and Nani could have met then and could now re-meet here, that could be neat mhm

Oh? Eve raised a brow, but she smiled all the same. Honestly, she had not expected such…honesty. This girl was certainly special in that regard. Most people were a lot more nervous or flustered when it came to questions like that. Getting not just a positive reply, but one with enthusiasm to boot? That was rather unique indeed. “Well, I certainly have missed you as well. The world seems a bit gloomier when you are not around, even though I never noticed that before. Not gloomy per se, just gloomier, really~.” It was certainly true, after all. She didn’t really know anyone like this.

Even if Luka put her comment in a bit of perspective. That was definitely not enough to make it seem all that different. “I appreciate it one way or another. But you find that I, too, have grown some. I won’t insult you by taking you on without giving my all, of course.” Hence, she went for her Quick Ball and tossed it, bringing out the white-furred Zeroara that she had acquired back during the tournament. It was just fitting to use one of her strongest, as well as one that was related to their meeting.

A peculiar sight, really. Despite all the chaos raging around them, the five Pokemon were rather calm. Maybe excited, sure, but in a positive sense. These strange Zorua seemed quite interested in her own. Maybe to them, it was the odd one out. Difficult to tell. Yet, as she watched them walking circles around one another, inspecting one another. They seemed curious but also somewhat fond of the situation.

It was difficult to put into words, really. Eve just watched, squatting down while she allowed things to run their course. Somehow, despite the raging storms around and above, the situation was just calm and serene in a way that saw her not worry too much about matters. Instead, she breathed in the strange air and allowed the distortion to lightly seep into her – much like her own Zorua did, its fur becoming a few shades lighter over time.

Eventually though, as if called by something unseen or unheard, the strange Zorua perked up and left to deeper into the distortion, occasionally looking over their shoulders back at Eve and her Pokemon. Only when they were out of sight completely did she recall her own and retreated from the distortion, not wanting to explore such an hostile environment further on her own.

If Eve minded the age difference in any way, she definitely did not show it. Sure, that could become a bit of an issue at some point, but she’d decided not to bother with that. For the time being, they were just two gals apparently having fun in one another’s company. That was absolutely all that mattered to her. [break][break]
Primarina in the meantime watched proceedings cautiously and with a bit of confusion. She still did deal too well with people in general. Or with a lot of new pokemon for that matter. But she certainly improved. Back in the day she wouldn’t have been able to be in a room like this at all without fidgeting and trying to get away from everyone. For now, she just remained a bit stiffly still, but seemed otherwise fine.

“Well, I do what I can, really,” Eve replied, briefly looking at the oceanic Pokemon. “I only got her when she was fully evolved though, so I can’t say the same thing. Though you must have a lot of stories to tell with her if you’ve had her for so long. Any in particular that comes to mind?” That was a deceptively evil thing to say, considering that this was speed dating. But she just wanted to see how the other would handle it.

Naturally, there was no ill will left regarding the hold, even if it had lingered longer than necessary. Eve was a big proponent to never attribute to malice that which could also be explained by good intentions. Or stupidity, for that matter. Though that did not seem to be the case here. For now, she recovered her bearings and watched proceedings, while Primarina nuzzled into her hand. It was probably best to recuperate for a little. But only for a little. While Primarina was still distracted, Eve noticed a Nickit peeking out of the brush nearby.

It didn’t really look like it wanted to outright attack or something. But she figured that Prima would only worry once again, if she noticed, so Eve flung a Pokeball at it. Either it would be caught or scared away. That was her impression at least. Hopefully, that would come to pass so they could rest. If not, there was always the good sir they’d met here, who was offering to team up. To the Iglypuff, that was, but she figured that he was just a genuinely good person. “This area certainly has very different Pokemon walking about. Odd to think that this little one was so close to such an aggressive Bisharp.

“Kalos is, indeed,” she replied, briefly reminiscing of home. Not that she really had to tell anyone where she was from. Her accent tended to do that, naturally. Though she had taken some lessons to rein it in on stage if necessary, when travelling like this she just let it run wild. In part because people tended to quite liking it, of course, but that was secondary to her, really.

But that was all tertiary at best in this moment. This was speedy, yes, but it was still a date as well. She had to take it seriously, even as she took it leisurely. “I used to sing classical only, renditions of popular songs. I am supposedly travelling to find inspiration for songs of my own, so my ultimate specialization is still kind of in the air.” There was a light smile on her face as she spoke of her work like this, clearly enjoying this. “And yes, a Primarina. I am taking care of her for the time being, helping her get back on her feet in some ways. Yours is a Lopbunny, if I recall correctly? I often confuse normal types, sadly.”

Honestly, Eve had had quite a few opportunities to go on speed dating endeavours like this, but so far she had not taken them. In her eyes, true love was something that came to one, rather than something to aggressively seek out like this. But she had not exactly managed to find true love on her own so far. And this seemed like fun. So, she’d put on a black skirt, white shirt and accessories, then headed to the event.

Plus, Primarina liked it too, even if the water Pokemon seemed at times confused by how quickly things were moving. But that was good, too. Prima needed to get challenged, so she could overcome her issues. At least that was Eve’s opinion.
But enough of her Pokemon, there was the woman she was paired with. “Good day to you. I am Evette Moreau,” she introduced herself, incorrectly assuming that Sion Komi was first and last name. Still, she did assume a more casual tone than normal nonetheless, as she seated herself properly. “Hmm, I travel, seeing the world. Though that is more my main activity right now, so singing would technically be my spare-time one?” A soft chuckle followed.

“Well, as a career, singing isn’t really like this to begin with,” she replied, scratching her cheek once more. Honestly, it was one of the reasons why she was drawing her journey out further and further. That way, she could only sing when she wanted and what she wanted – not having to throw herself into grueling training and repetition. That last part was probably the biggest matter. Repetition just made things blander. It could not be helped. But then again, all careers were about that. Working simply meant having to do the same thing, in a way, over and over. It probably was still best to pick something one liked for a career anyway.

Lost in her thoughts, she was briefly confused when she heard an artificial voice. Only on second glance did she realize that it was the other’s phone. And on third glance, she realized why that was. It briefly caused her to blush in embarrassment, but she decided not to make a big deal of it. And why would she? This was not too big an issue. The boy certainly was fine with it, too. “Well, you might hear me on the radio, if all things go well,” she noted with a chuckle. Primarina too, was happy now, clapping joyously at a recently downed Scizor nearby. The last one put to sleep by their triet, he too was resting about now, its name being drawled out into snarls all the time. Scizor was a rather good name to combine with the good old Zzzzzs.

She tossed another ball at it while the boy was sorting out his entourage from soon-to-be-balled Pokemon. “Have fun with the chocolate, stranger~” Eve added, laughing, before turning towards her original direction, deciding to just take this experience as was and commit it to memory. That was one of the goals of this journey, after all.
