Once they arrive to their destination, Asriel closely observes his surroundings. This mechanical world was a strange one but one he showed little interest for, although he could understand why his father would want to venture here. Not giving much thought to the others that were dragged into his father's fantasy.

Following the orders Asriel tosses out a pokeball releasing his luxray. "I'll report back soon as I discover something." Also going on his separate search he allows the luxray to lead the way, passing through a corridor his luxray's incredible eyesight would prove to be a useful asset.

Being able to see through the walls the electric feline's star-tipped tail flicks aggressively towards a nearby room. Informing Asriel that there was something inside. Giving his pokemon a subtle nod he enters the room - inside he finds a multitude of clocks along with it's tools to maintain them. Mysteriously enough the clock's hands all seemed to be stuck on the hour of 11:55 a few minutes short of noon or midnight.

At first Asriel didn't see anything in the room, but his luxray's intense growling kept him alert. Before he could scan the room any further nearby shuffling causes him to turn around and before he had the time to react a creature would flash past them, fleeing back towards the corridor he had arrived from.

Pursuing after it with his luxray - Asriel quickly realizes that he somehow was in a completely different area even though he had came this way before. Even worse, he was surrounded by volcanion all enraged and ready to initiate a fight.

"Shit" He utters as the room begins to fill with an intense steam from the volcanion.

-Also goes his separate ways.
-Enters a room filled with broken clocks, encounters a zygrade cell there but it flees before he could see what it exactly was.
-Following it lead him to a completely different area and he finds himself surrounded by volcanion

His father's disappointment was clear as day. Not that it meant anything to Asriel - after so many years he never achieved having his father smile at him. It causes him to remember about his youth, the extreme lengths they went through to get their parents approval. Their aspirations were a stupid and childish hope.

A bitter taste lingers in Asriel's mouth, the memories bringing up a person who couldn't be forgotten no matter how hard he tried. Asriel shifrs focus releasing the pokemon from it's confinement. Once it's released he's surprised to see a shadow pokemon, a riolou no less.

The corrupted pokemon completely outclasses his own, Asriel figured it'd take a lot of time and effort to try and get it under control.
"incredible.. so this is a shadow pokemon." Asriel muses aloud

this had been his first time actually seeing one for himself.

The summons was unexpected. Asriel had been purposefully avoiding detection, wanting to keep his return a secret from his father for awhile. However he was ever so foolish to think he could ever hide something from the man.

Walking towards the training facilities Asriel kept his presence minimal, his footsteps barely audible. Which was expected for a man who lived in the shadows.

Slipping through the doorway, a silent gaze rested on his father for a very brief moment before falling towards the cold floor. Asriel then shifts to a kneeling position "Father.. I hope you've been well."

The number of spoink had dwindled, all that remained were the bloodied lifeless corpses. Truthfully Asriel didn't have a right to complain, he never cared for being in the spotlight in hoenn or in kanto. When there was a job that needed to be done, he would get it done no questions asked, That was the philosophy he would live and die by.

Cleaning his hands with a nearby rag Asriel listened silently as Jayden began to talk about his potential new project. Seeing how he didn't want to go into detail, he figured that whatever it was still needed to be fleshed out.

"If you need me, i'm there." the response is brief making it seem disinterested, but asriel would support jayden.

With the last spoink taken cared of, Asriel stands and walks towards the door only pausing with Jayden's words.

"Odd..? far from it. If you're asking me there's no one more suitable for the role." Unsure whether jayden wanted to hear praise from him he leaves it at that.

He opens the door, beckoning him to follow. "Enough of this, let's get food." The door is kept open for jayden as he waited for him to pass through.

While it was news to Asriel that Jayden made it to beast, he wasn't surprised in the slightest. Whatever his position was within rocket, Asriel will always support his childhood friend - the only one he had left.

"How do you feel about pork?"

Asriel scoffs and chuckles sarcastically

"Knowing those idiots - they'd find a way to screw up." There was a burning hatred for people who made mistakes, it always reminded him of somebody. Walking over to the net he lifts it up, allowing more spoink to escape they run and bounce around frantically looking for any means of escape.

Their desperation amounted to nothing as luxray preyed on them with relative ease. A loud wail of a spoink was silenced by the sound of munching fangs. "Compared to rest of rocket, working with you is -" He pauses gesturing luxray to drop the dead spoink. Asriel then proceeds to rip the pearl off - this one required some more force but it finally gave, blood splattering on Asriel during the process.

"Always pleasant." He finishes with a huff, a hand wiping away blood that got in his eyes. "If only we could do a more meaningful mission."

Whimpers and squeals floated out from the crack of the door, cries of suffering echoing throughout cold corridors. Inside, was a never ending nightmare. Captured spoink remain helpless trapped underneath re-enforced netting, mauled corpses void of their notable pearl was the only fate awaiting them.

Asriel grunts silently his gaze drifting towards his luxray who had been licking blood off his paws. "What a mess." examining the bloodied pearl, he huffed with annoyance "Really don't see the value in these." Bending down once again he rips a pearl from the spoink's lifeless corpse, blood splattering across the wooden floor
"Cleaning this is going to be a pain."

Ignoring the question Asriel chuckles and chuckles as his response. Eyebrows raising slightly when Raizel mentions his alias.
"Maybe" The tone of his voice doesn't give anything away and once again Asriel chuckles, this time a little more sinister as he was amused.

"What about you Raizel. What are you doing out here?" The question comes off very demanding, similar to the tone their parents would use at them when they younger and were together. His red gaze is piercing and cold, another similarity with his parents.

It was a good blow, Jayden managed to elbow him straight in the nose. Asriel falters backwards his hand gripping around the bloodied area. He keeps his distance to try and regain his senses and does so momentarily. The next thing Jayden does is attempt a drop kick but Asriel reacts in time, blocking the attack by grabbing his leg putting it into a tight grip.

He then bends his leg with force and walks forward, trying to get him to trip.

It sounded like an easy feat to accomplish. Certainly easier than pulling of a heist at a bank, especially so since this would be the first time they teamed up. However Asriel knew to not let his guard down and to always be prepared for the unexpected.

"I see." He responds calmly, curious if the safari zone was expecting 'special' pokemon for the syndicate to take action.
He doesn't have a clue to what would happen to the pokemon after their success nor does he give much care. It was a bit surprising to find out that Gavin possessed a lucario, considering that it was hard to come by.

"A luxio and nidoran." Both pretty common but he was confident in their skills.

"When are we expecting them?"

The mistake caused Asriel's cheeks to turn red. He ducks his head, hoping that his embarrassment went unnoticed by Gavin. "Right" He responds a stiff cough following his words. It was a bit strange for Asriel not not address others formally, it's what he was taught but it was comforting at the same time.

"Not the full details, but I heard it was going to be a heist." He responds clearly, wondering if Merlino knew more or if both of them were left in the dark.

"Do you have any more details?"

He feels strange, unsure. It was the first mission he would be partaking in without Raziel by his side, the first time he would escape his parent’s piercing gaze. This time he would be under the supervision of Gavin Merlino another rocket grunt within the organization. Asriel’s footsteps were loud and heavy as he traveled through the hallways, unusual for him as he knew the importance of silence.

He approaches the door to the labs, heartbeat accelerating as he pulls the door open.

“Sir, it’s Asriel.”

Thoughts begin to race as he waits for permission, wondering exactly who Gavin was, if he’d be anything like his parents or Beckett.

He wasn’t exactly sure what the mission entailed either, he heard that it would involve trafficking or a heist.

He admired Jayden.

His devotion and dedication were an irreplaceable asset. He knew Jayden for many years and always knew that he could count on him. There weren’t many rocket’s that he considered family, he was lucky to have found Jayden.

His position had improved but still Asriel manages to break it, when he had acknowledged that he was ready. Delivering a speedy punch straight to his chest.

The hill was covered with flowers. Some were still in their budding stage, but most had bloomed and are the vibrant colors of spring were in full effect. Many wild pokemon were out, enjoying the weather and new nourishment. The wind carried a fragrant smell, the smell of flowers.

For the most part, there was no conversation as they walked to their destination. Until Jayden spoke up.

Eyebrows furrow with the question, one that he had answered before. “I’ve told you, it’s fine, Jay.” His voice carries a very subtle tone of irritation, but Asriel nods again to display he didn’t mind in the least.
