she happened to be in the area, which was good for Killian. spotting the fellow Rocket paces away, she would approach as he looked at the Pikachu. "greetings, Killian" Siobhan would say lowly, casting a glance at the electric types "mice trouble?"

from the flickering lights in the town's distance to now... she could only assume it was an infestation. the Pikachu were behaving oddly. she might as well offer to help. wordlessly, she turned to Killian. the new Elite would err to his judgment.

there was nothing here.

old documents about fish migration, old poles used to catch those fish... the Wigglytuff was the only clue she had, and it was not going to talk. it stared at her through teal orbs before darting off.

perhaps it was just a wild Pokémon. shame. she would have to come back another time; she already wasted a lot of it here finding nothing. Siobhan would walk back from where she came.

dark. fairy.

hmm, there was definitely something here. something that made different types of Pokémon convene in one place. normally she would not care about these things, but the more... ah, heavily supernatural inclined Pokémon types... well, that was a giveaway.

so what happens next? she had to keep looking. the Clefairy is ignored as it rushes out the open doorway. Siobhan keeps her pace leisurely, walking around the old abandoned fishing shack. something made them flee.

what was it?

a Murkrow cawed overhead, swooping down at the intruder. she would duck, letting it fly out and into the night air. it didn't come back. strange. perhaps it knew she would not be so easily deterred from this location.

determination set on her otherwise neutral face as she walked further in. looking at the empty shack, she felt a sense of foreboding. what had happened here? she saw fishing poles abandoned in the corner. she saw picture frames still there.

time to dig a little deeper.

there was no fancy way of saying it, but she entered the route anyway. Siobhan glances around, seeing the monument of Mt. Pyre to her back. there was hardly anything here but an old and run-down shack. she would approach it. habit made her knock on the creaking wooden door.

no answer.

the woman would pause before pushing it open. the door cried out in protest before it came off the hinges. hitting the floor with a dull thud, it sent some Rattata scampering away. her heels clicked on the wooden floor as she entered.

like all good things, Siobhan had a mind to search the old and abandoned for treasure. what could she find here? what Pokemon made this run-down shack their home? only one way to find out.

Siobhan had never been one to gamble.

she always took a wide berth of such places, but when Rocket needed you to do a job - you did it. no questions asked. t'was daylight so there was no need for flashy garments. she simply entered the establishment as was. taking a spot at a slot machine, she would bend over and promptly place the device on the back of it.

this 'device' was simply Rocket-made. she didn't question how it worked, only that it scrambled the machines to make them pay out. all she needed to do was watch herself; the button that activated the payout was safely in her clutch purse, a small little red dot against a piece of metal. why watch? it'd be suspicious if she got a good roll every time. 

so she aimed to lose a few rounds before activating the device. Siobhan was dimly aware of someone sitting next to her, but was it a familiar face or just a stranger?

taking as an open

almost done. that's what she kept repeating in her head anyway. it hurt to see her Pokémon suffer like this. this was supposed to be fun, but it turned vicious quickly. the dragons all had the intent to make her own Pokémon faint. and Runestone -

he unleashed a mighty Earthquake a few feet from the finish line.

perhaps the insisting-to-chomp on his behind dragon caused him to finally snap. he was so calm the whole route but the last Crunch really got to him. he didn't care who or what was caught up in it. Selkie still Burned, and in her distress would unleashed a water-move.

she aimed at the Bagon, with the Spiritomb going in as well. a Hydro Pump slash Shadow Ball combo.

"that was the plan." she sees the ball with lackluster come back and hits it back. even if Zac was not referring to her, she agreed with his statement. the whole 'team' looked fatigued. time to put out for some treats after this bout. they deserved it for working so hard to fight like this. and not like this.

down to the wire; no Pokemon had fainted yet but it remained to be seen.

Selkie was hit with Flamethrower, causing a faint will-o-the-wisp fire to creep around her body. she cries in pain, her eyes narrowing as she turns on the Bagon properly now. Moonblast was what she felt worked wonders on the Dragonite so far; why not a little dragon? she shoots the fairy orb at it.

Runerigus ignores the not-connecting Thunder Punch and soliders on, Slamming to put distance between himself and the others. Spiritomb is not targeted this round, so he shoots a Dark Pulse at the Bagon who had made Selkie burn. Siobhan realizes after this 'triple battle' she needed to heal her Pokemon - and fast.

some were always so shocked about her profession. in Hoenn, it was not so farfetched surely? there were legends abound. legendary Pokemon to examine and study. she felt there was no end to the potential this region had. "of course." she says to Killian, giving a curt nod. the Ghastly was promptly captured.

administrative business. like Remiel. perhaps one day if she rose rank, she would be in that elite circle... but why... did she care to? Remiel's face flashed across her mind. "you're mad" he had said once upon a time. yes, she had been. but she didn't know why. not until inklings threatened her reasoning.

"good luck" she calls quietly "I do hope it is not as dull as it seems." was that a joke?

"I've... never played this type of volleyball before" she responds as she blocks the sphere from crashing down. her Pokémon hoot from their side, cheering the woman on. volleying it into the air, Gravedigger spikes it again.

he aims for the Kingler, hoping to take it out of the game quickly. all of them were slowing down by now, with a mighty thirst to dip into the sea themselves. Siobhan watches as the ball flies over the net -

and hopes for a quick finish.

the end was almost in sight. it was slow going though, with all Pokemon participating nicely and effectively as could be. seeing Runerigus being hassled by the dragon, Primarina shoots a Moonblast at it, hoping to dislodge. ganging up on Vic's Pokémon, Runestone used Brutal Swing again in a last ditch effort.

Spiritomb proved to be a one-trick Ponyta. he also shoots a Shadow Ball at the Hydreidon. the Bagon and Dragonite were lost in the confusion of the sack race. their hits did nothing to the defending Pokémon, who tried to take advantage of the chaos and move ahead again. will it work? who knew.
