Electrike and Manectric had always been known as fierce, loyal, and downright savage canines of warfare. They filled a niche many mercenaries sought for, quite frankly. After selling his entire stock to a guerilla in South America, however, Belial was certainly needing to capture mroe.[break][break]

Thankfully, the Safari Zone was bustling with entire packs of them this summer. In fact, one of them dared to leap out and try to take a chunk out of Chai. She managed to DETECT the WILD CHARGE, however, and instead blasted the pup into a tree with an AURA SPHERE before Belial captured it with an ultra precise throw of a heavy ball.[break][break]

A former bully of the forest: a snarling Machoke. Bravo had run into this one before, several times. Now, with his trainer by his side, he wished to end the feud today. Once and for all.[break][break]

After crushing a boulder with its bare hands, the Machoke stepped forward and accepted this challenge. A flurry of KARATE CHOP and FORCE PALM ensued, ending with a dramatic HI JUMP KICK that sent the Machoke crashing onto the ground below.[break][break]

"Impressive," Belial complimented, striding past his exhausted Riolu as he pulled an empty heavy ball out of his pack. "Try to pace yourself next time, though, Bravo. We'll work on your stamina when we get back to base."[break][break]

A bitch had worked itself up (WORK UP) to battle the other female who had crossed upon its land. Was it another dog? A ferret? Some sort of long rat? She didn't care. This territory was hers.[break][break]

As she charged forward to TAKE DOWN the Mienshao, however, the Furfrou reconsidered her attack when she saw it take a battle stance. But by then it was far too late. In a blur of motion, the dog was struck down with a DRAIN PUNCH.[break][break]

"Nice work, Chai," Belial smirks, pulling out a heavy ball and casting it.[break][break]

The pine forest was smack dab between two towering cliff sides: the perfect hideaway for tough Pokémon that liked to climb big rocks and smash them. Belial had done his research prior to hiking this way. There was said to be a great number of Fighting and Steel-type Pokémon in the area.[break][break]

Pausing every so often to give the pup walking at his side a glance, the mercenary could tell the terrain was somewhat familiar to the tyke. This bode well if he was to build the ultimate squad of Lucario in the future.[break][break]

There were safari zones all over the world. In truth, the world itself had once been a large 'safari zone' before civilization had sprouted to designate the rest of it as so. Belial had traveled enough of the world to realize that former far exceeded the latter, however.[break][break]

In truth, the man was himself enamored with the luxuries and benefits of human civilization. But that didn't meant he lacked a respect for the pureness of nature, and the stresses of survival that were forced out of the human spirit when exposed too long.[break][break]

Today, he walked the grounds of Hoenn's Safari Zone with his Mienfoo by his side. His purpose? Find some new recruits for the mercenary effort.[break][break]

There were great opportunities to be had in the Petalburg Woods. Today especially, with the surging activity of wild Eevee that had appeared overnight. Belial knew the species to be incredibly versatile and useful for private operations such as his own.

In Petalburg City, rumors had persisted of a new 'eeveelution' living in these woods as well. Some had come to dub the creature 'Shenreon', a draconic evolution of Eevee believed to have come to existence recently. Some even claimed Remiel Calcifet was responsible for breeding this cryptid in his draciary to the north.

Belial believed none of it, however. Rumors and tall tales of 'eeveelutions' were as old as the invention of the pokéball. This was no doubt just that: a tall tale. Regardless, the man had set a trap with a tasty poffin, and waited to see whether one of these Eevee was careless enough to stumble into it.
