The next encounter is a spot of black and white that peeked through the underbrush. Mint is immediately on the offensive, locking in on the baby raccoon pokemon. Zaba moves in to sniff and paw at the Zigzagoon. And while it's distracted he tosses the safari ball and grins.

There's a lot more rivers and creeks this time around. Mint follows one winding river, with Zabaglione darting in and out of the shallow water to cool off from the summer sun. At some point he accidentally tramples a Wishiwashi that pushed Zaba off with a well timed BRINE attack! Before it can TAKE DOWN Zaba though, Mint throws a safari ball quickly while Zaba shakes himself off and whines.

Mint nodded, glancing over at their companion for the day. "Yeah. Although I supposed this place is isolated enough for an all out bout." he stopped, thought about it before shrugging. "Naw, I', more interested in collecting the samples." he said with a laugh as he continued to lead her. They'd long since passed the ice sculpture cemetery and the little flag post he'd left behind his own pokemon's grave to track snow melt. [break][break]

His foot steps are quick despite the deep feet of snow. And one could hear the muffled thump of his boots on thick ice. The steps seemed to thunk a little deeper the closer they got to their destination. Really, the only way Mint knew they were close before getting out his GPS. [break][break]

He'd been out more than enough time to be used to the cold, and being an ice specialist only added to his durability. But perhaps others weren't so lucky. "Did you bring anything to warm up?" he asked, giving her the chance to perhaps remember something.

"Though you could use the company." comes automatically, an electronic voice. Neon stands at the edge of Annalise's world, her meal for the day in hand. A small welfare check. The buzzing around the supplies is always obvious. Panic, confusion, and finally caution settled as various members of the staff handled dealing with the supplies meant to help a city fighting for rations. [break][break]

The reaction is about as expected. But nothing explosive like outright destruction. Still, it's interesting to see how each gym leader reacts. That's what Mint thinks as he reviews the footage before waiting a couple of nights and then returning to pick up his equipment with the help of his Tangrowth. The little drones secured, he hopped back to HQ ready to pass off the cameras for maintenance once more.

"As far as I'm aware, your patron doesn't really have a true goal in mind. Unlike Rayquaza of Xekrom." he said with a small shrug. "The origin of her powers is also unconventional." he added. Her powers and the relationship between Ultra Beast poison and how it correlated to a corruption- a SHADOW phenomenon. A corruption so deep it manifested itself as a type of power, almost like an energy. [break][break]

"As long as you aren't deteriorating under her, then it's fine." he said carefully. He didn't want to suggest Gavin was getting weaker. Only that avatar relationships should be watched closely, carefully. [break][break]

The Zigzagoon pads forward, encouraged by his trainer and sniffs at the palm of the Underbosses' hand. He doesn't notice the fog until it settles aorund him, sucking into his pink and white coat like a sponge absorbing water. Zabaglione barks, coughing for a moment and shaking, trembling as the essence changes him. The dark type writhes on the ground claws scratching at the floor as he yowled as something innate changed within him. Pink turns purple and the haze fades for the most part as it retreats back to Gavin. A hint of it swirls around the tail. [break][break]

His fan seemed...twitchy. And while he made no comment about it, pale green eyes keep tentative watch on the stranger already making small mental notes about her. He nodded along at her, sipping his frap and staying relaxed, all things considered. [break][break]

There's a lot of questions right after the other so he lets her blurt it all out before answering or else he'd get too distracted. "So Iiii don't know a lot about the creation since I just commissioned it from my friend but it did its job pretty well. I mean- it was still hot, but we tried to add sweat wicking on the inside to account for that sort of thing. "As fun as looking for slivers of glass is." he said with a snort as he crouched down onto the ice. Carefully, his Flareon steps next to him offering extra light as her pelt flares up slightly. Watching the glint off the pieces, he pulls out a pair of tweezers and began collecting. [break][break]

The most tedious part is finding the pieces. Thankfully there aren't that many. He caps the samples, shaking the thing like a maraca and grinning triumphantly. "Got you now, you son of a bitch." he said to the NEVERMELT ice before putting it again. "Hopefully Naomi Sato can do something with these for me. I'm not confident we'll find a way to melt this place but maybe there's something related in here that can tell us more about that thing's size." he said before gesturing Hitoshi up. "Let's head back. You've done all you can for now. I'll buy you cocoa for your effort."
