The guy promised not to should anything happen. Though his Jolteon seemed less enthused that their misadventure had been seen. Chuckling, he continued on. While there were a few wild Pokemon he would take seriously, he had dealt with Pokemon himself. Practically risking his own skin. So, he just kind of continued on, even as the electric type took on a Vikavolt and won. For the man's credit, he went ahead and captured it. "Bit of a temper, eh? Thankfully none of mine have that problem. Breloom is fairly defiant though. Even Sharpedo wasn't that bad." The incident with honey proved that. Though he did hope he didn't come off as criticizing the trainer. Temper was better than defiant, in his mind.

His partner for this came by. And boy, he certainly could believe a teacher was having a hard time believing her. She just gave off that vibe that she would be harming the school instead of showing off. Yvaine Varron. His willing victim for the day? What did that mean? "I'm Ranger Cadet Oliver Shrakes. What do you mean by willing victim of the day? You do know we're supposed to be educating kids and describing how our Pokemon assist us with our jobs, right?" He couldn't help but to wonder why would she be here otherwise. And what did she do for a living? "I mean, I brought my Weepinbell, Sharpedo, Braviary, and Dragonite here to show and tell and describe how they help me with my Ranger work. What do you do for a living?" Thankfully they still had a little time left, but not a lot. He couldn't tell if she had a legit job or just took this without so much as looking at the details of it. Well, hopefully it wouldn't be too awful. "So, do you want me to go first or do you want to go?"

She was enthusiastic. But also mentioned her own concern. "That's fine. What are you more comfortable with? I can take the lead, and you follow up with handcuffs and ties, using your Pokemon as guards or as support. We're supposed to get some local authorities to assist as well, but more on the transport side of things." You know, after all the hard work is done. Boy did he seem like a glory hound. Which wasn't entirely false he supposed. After hearing the answer, off they went. He took out Weepinbell. The rain would be hell for Sleep Powder, but after the rain lightens up, it would make the attack stick. Great opportunity for the second to clean-up.

Using binoculars to look at the first camp, he identified the Rain Dance Pokemon. "Dragonite, those Ludicolo and Poliwhirl are your first targets. Rush in with Dragon Rush, then Thunderpunch. Rest is up to your judgement. Weepinbell, use Vine Whip on anyone that tries to escape, hit them with a puff of Sleep Powder. Once the camp is subdued, hit everyone with it. Oh speaking of..." Digging around, Oliver took out a special mask and handed one to Amelia. "In case you need it, it filters out spores from powder moves like Sleep Powder and Stun Spore. I got a spare." After that, and preparing for his own fight with a baton, it was off to the races.

Dragonite smashed the dancing Pokemon, knocking out four of the six with one go. The cultists tried to assist their Pokemon with clubs, but an Aqua Tail from Dragonite sent them flying, even as he used Thunderpunch on the lone Poliwhirl and Ludicolo. Oliver also went in and stopped them from leaving. A few tried to fight back by swinging punches at him. Too bad he was something of a personal fighter too. And knocked them out easily. The rain started to lessen slightly. As ordered, Weepinbell hit every cultist and Pokemon with Sleep Powder just to ensure that they'll be out for a while. The second camp was one that was under construction. A mass Sleep Powder caught them unaware, even putting the lone two Pokemon using Rain Dance to sleep. Walking forward, he put them in handcuffs and looked back to see how Amelia was fairing. They already hit two camps...four more to go.

Ah, there's the guy again. And given the right of way, not that he cared. Returning the smile, Oliver gave the guy a wave. Who then asked if he could walk with him. "Sure, so long as you don't get in my way if something happens. Though it's been pretty boring so far...aside from seeing your Jolteon get flung by a Lileep." He kind of chuckled and moved on, Even when his Dragonite got distracted and moved away, making Ollie stop and wait. The red head started to count down from thirty. At nine, his best buddy came back with a cute Yamper. But they looked a little hurt. Petting the poor baby, and hearing the little guy whine...good thing he didn't have a full team with him this time. "Hey little one...you wanna come with me? Here, give me a moment..." Digging out some medicine, Dragonite moved the Yamper a little to show the wound. Hind leg, figures. Spraying the area and putting on a bandage after cleaning it, the Yamper started yipping and licking his face. Taking out a Pokeball, he booped it to try to catch it since he earned its trust.

Cultists...yuck. Arguably worse than Rocket is, and that was saying something. But it was about time he got some action. Flying overhead, he found three completed camps, and about three more still in the process of being built. Should be easy with a surprise attack. Especially for as preoccupied as they were. His partner was on the one end of Cycle Road. Flying on his Dragonite, they zoomed away and towards her. And boy did he thought he looked young...were they recruiting younger? Dropping down, and him hopping off, Oliver had on the standard Ranger uniform, plus a hat and goggles. Though his red and black hair was still visible, as was his multiple ear piercings, giving him something of a bad boy look.

Still, walking over to the young lass, he went ahead and asked her name. "Excuse me, are you Amelia Vasquez? I'm Oliver Shrakes." Upon confirmation, he'll tell her what he found out. "My recon showed three fully formed camps, and three more that are still being built. The job was to dismantle them and arrest them if all possible. I have plenty of handcuffs, and as we get through them, we'll be slowed down...I do have a full team of six Pokemon, even if one of them is purely for the water down below. Personally I recommend a blitzkreig approach. Hit them as hard and fast as possible in a surprise attack. Even if we're super slowed down towards the end, we'll still be plenty fresh for a final showdown. But if you got a better idea, I'm all ears." He was quite genuine about it. The rain would play hell with powder moves, but his Weepinbell's Sleep Powder was still on the table. Perhaps even as the final ace in the hole...as they get through each camp, that rain should lighten up. But he'll wait on her input.

Pokemon Studies? Curiousity made Oliver read closer over the job details. Well, he was a ranger, and he uses his pokemon in his jobs all the time. Though they all worked as a team to get it done. And the job required him to show them off. Dragonite and Braviary were obvious choices, Weepinbell would be good too. Sharpedo would round out his list. Thankfully, the school kept a pool for water types as well. It wouldn't be until later that he found out he had a partner. Well, that was okay. Donned in his ranger uniform, the things that made him stand out was his dual black and red hair color and ear piercings. He kind of had a bad boy type of feel going, but was actually pretty relaxed.

Upon arriving at the school and checking in with the office, he was sent to the field where they were to have this demonstration. The teacher also knew of his arrival, and what he looked like. It seemed he was the first to arrive. Oliver kept all four pokeballs on his belt, ready to show off and explain how each one assisted with his job.  Dragonite he knew was going to be a hit, Sharpedo might not be though...poor guy. But the pool was at least plenty large, and students were told to have swimsuits ready. Well, now to await the crowd...but hopefully his partner first.

Oliver started to chuckle. Accidents happen. And it seems like this Snorlax was already taken. And was about to say as such when they heard the yelling. And out came a young girl. Instead of being a man and owning up to his mistake and taking responsibility, the other man ran like a coward. Sighing, he took out some medicine and started to treat the Snorlax. While he was doing so, he explained what had happened. Of course, she was still upset, but was doing fine since the "nice ranger man" was helping her Snorlax. Luckily, the medicine worked wonders, and he cleaned the honey off the Pokemon's belly. The Snorlax, while shaken, saw that he didn't join in, and since he treated the big guy, wasn't afraid of Ollie. And patted his head. After a quick show off of his Dragonite, and a small flight with the young lady, things got smoothed over. After some caution, to both lady and Pokemon, they were off on their way with uplifted spirits. Oliver did feel a little sorry for the guy though...here he put all his effort into making a trap for a Pokemon, only to get two owned Pokemon to fall for it. Well, it was what it was, and the ranger just kept on going.

Ah, it turned out to be the Jolteon's trainer. As the creature jumped up, it landed on a Lileep, who flung it back. Hilariously. But it soon got its revenge. The trainer then threw a pokeball at it. Seemed they haven't noticed him or Dragonite. That was fine. Though funnily enough, the direction they were heading also corrisponded with part of his own route. Seemed like they were going to meet each other anyways. The red and black haired guy jumped down and started towards his initial route, taking his time. His Dragonite also wasn't being quiet either, but only because the sound of his footsteps. Still, the big guy just fell in step with him behind him and kept going, partially hoping that something exciting will happen.

A Snorlax walked out of the green masses. Well, he hoped this guy brought a lot of honey. Speaking of, it looked like the guy was absolutely excited to see it. Almost too excited. Like seriously? Well, whatever, the Ranger just sat there and watched as he jumped out of the bush, pointed at the Snorlax, and ordered his Pokemon to attack. The Snorlax was surprised, and seemed like it was stuck to the tree. If it's too good to be true, it usually is. The man did look at Ollie. Ollie looked back. The comment made him smile. "Of course not, that would be unsportsmanlike. Besides, you get a fine if you're caught double teaming a wild Pokemon to catch it. And I enforce that rule. So go ahead and judge, I won't say anything." While he did stand up, with Weepinbell in his arms, he did give the guy a shit-eating grin. It wasn't exactly a well known rule, and a difficult one to enforce. There were exceptions, including defense of life. The fine itself wasn't terrible. A slap on the wrist really. Whatever, the guy was clean far as he can tell, even if he did kind of insinuate that he wasn't above some hunting/capturing tactics. His Weepinbell was at the ready though, should anything happen.
