The uproar of sand slams into her like a truck, effectively lifting her and her Lucario off their feet. Whereas her partner pokémon is more keen to resist such physical onslaught, Brynn struggles to get back on her feet, gasping for air.

The world is still looking double in her eyes when she hears El Sunderland call out to her, and all she can muster is a thumbs up while the oxygen returns to her lungs. "Yup, fine. Totes. Fine." The violet-haired woman practically growls as she forces herself back up. The sand is everywhere.

She’d recognise Gwyar Wledig out of thousands, and leans into his protective embrace, while his lumbering Chesnaught protects the both of them. When they emerge again they’re all unscathed, yet all she can give him is a smile and the faintest caress before they’re called back to action.

When he nods, so does she, and resolutely break away to fulfill their own duties. ”Got it!” she yells back at El Sunderland, keeping an eye on them, while her gaze flits the battlefield.

Trouble seems to be calling for a new face nearby. Registeel remains unnerving, like a Claydol charging for an attack. Without a second doubt she jolts forth, her Lucario moving to become a shield for Yujin Ha.

"They couldn't have made it any bigger, now could they?" she off-handedly remarks as she and her Lucario ready themselves for battle, together with many others gathered -and scattered- around them.

"No matter, let's go-" There's not much time to look around, so she picks the first friendly face she makes out, El Sunderland a fellow teammate, and makes a beeline for them as she calls out for her Lucario to attack. "Spica, Dark Pulse!"

Not one to butt heads easily, the Unovan had to do her best to bite her tongue at the Kalosian’s holier-than-thou attitude. Yet the moment another snarky comment left the man’s mouth, a remark at El’s troubled way of walking, and her Togekiss being a chicken, Brynn finally had enough and snapped. Politely.

”You want them to get on your back? How kind of you to suggest that.” she quipped, rolling her eyes as pushing past the man to help El if necessary. Her Lucario followed a little behind, its focus on anything but the group itself. Its eyes and senses laid beyond, wary of potential threats laying beyond the curtains of whirling sand.

The group she’d joined were all practically strangers to her, a chance meeting when she had wanted to see what exactly the desert had been hiding that warranted rumors of grand guardians and hidden treasures. She’d not thought to bump into so vicious a sandstorm as this one however, so having teamed up with these three seemed like a blessing in disguise.

It's where her focus always laid. Her mind always wandered to whenever she could. Especially now he'd noticed her, too.

It had been a while since she'd managed to visit him; his work as Mossdeep's newest gymleader kept him busy, while Brynn had found herself swamped with classes now she'd decided to resume her medical studies. A few too many at once, she had realised when the deadline of her papers all seemed to coincide in the same few weeks. They were coming along quite well, but trying to stay on top of things had mercilessly cut into her free time.

Nothing daily calls and texts couldn't rectify, but it just wasn't the same. She missed Gwyar's presence, his strong arms around her, the scent of his aftershave, his everything.

So she'd decided that after her submitting her final paper of the week to allow herself a break. A weekend away, city-tripping to Mossdeep City; though she'd be there for anything but the city. A certain Galarian Knight, however...

On her shoulder, Elfagar is having the time of his life as they make their way through the city. The gym's already in sight, but the Space Center towering above them does make one stop and stare, especially outsiders. And that's what the blue-hued Zorua does before yipping in her ear.

"Yes yes," she shushes the little fox, patting its head. "But you can't catch it, no matter how hard you try." she shakes her head softly as he tries to gnaw on a strand of her hair. When they reach the gym Brynn carefully makes her way over to the building, where a handful of people are just packing up after what seems to have been another successful defense seminar.

Sneaking past the crowd she makes her way into the arena and leans against a nearby wall, watching him quietly as he finishes up.

"Spica? If you'd please." The Lucario knew what was expected of it and extended its hand, bestowing a Heal Pulse to the entire party, and then an extra one to the Blonde Knight at its trainer's side before returning to its pokéball together with the rest.

"Follow me home, my sweet knight," Her gaze was ever so loving as she took his hand in hers and pulled him along. "Because I'll need you at your finest tonight."
