Realizing that her new companion was much more knowledgeable than herself, Mattie nods and scoops up Rigel, setting him on her shoulder as she heads off after Jessie. She stays quiet, her eyes peeled for the Porygon while also trying to keep an eye on Jessie to make sure she isn't making things more difficult for herself and her newfound partner. Rigel is surprisingly quiet as well, almost sensing the tension in the air as the group makes their way through the throngs of shoppers.

Matilda eyes Martín del Mar in surprise, but immediately lets out a laugh. "Oh well that does make sense, doesn't it? Horses and the water, and all that." She giggles, watching the Raichu and Inkay play together for a bit. She then looks over at her companion a bit more seriously. "I honestly would love to visit your Galarian Rapidash sometime. I personally haven't studied many of them and I would love to check out the differences in Ponyta species." [break][break]

Sorin performs a quick dive, and then another. Matilda looks over at her Taillow and notices him repeatedly dive bombing a Hitmontop to keep it distracted from the people on the path. Mattie smiles and side steps, accidentally bumping into Mars before blushing and correcting herself. "Sorry," she mumbles, locking her eyes on the path ahead of them.

"Well, I am, but I'm not sure I'll find it here." After procuring a small apple from her bag, she continues. "I've heard of a type of Ponyta that is psychic and instead of flames it has a poofy cloudy mane and tail." A patch of black fur flashes in her periphery, and she stops and takes a step back to see what it is. [break][break]

The closer she gets to the creature the bigger it gets. Before realizing it, Mattie finds herself locking eyes with a sleepy Pangoro. They blink a few times at each other in surprise. Mattie slowly reaches out, offering the rest of her apple to the bear who eyes the offering warily. Sensing she isn't going to take the food directly from her, Mattie sets the apple on the ground and slowly backs away, heading back onto the trail with Mars. The small crunches of satisfaction reassure her that the Pangoro was much more interested in its nap than it was with her.[break][break]

Without missing a beat, she continues her conversation with her companion. "I've never seen one personally, but they sound amazing and I would love to have one on my team."

Mattie nods in agreement at Jessie's offer of help. "It really is! I didn't think it would be this tough to catch one, but we've been following this guy for over an hour now and he keeps giving us the slip."[break][break]

Rigel hops off his Trainer's shoulder onto the bench and reaches his small hands out to Finn, a happy grin on his little face. Despite the size difference, Rigel was always happy to meet a new friend.[break][break]

With a huff of determination, Matilda stands and adjusts her small bag. "Alright, I lost it when it flew over those shops," Mattie says, standing next to Jessie and gesturing to the shops in mention.

While the Trainer paces and explains the situation, Matilda slips off her bag and begins rummaging through it. She pulls out some supplies, adding a "Mmhmm," as appropriate for the conversation. A small box of powder is poured in equal parts into three smaller vials, and she grinds a pinkish-orange berry with a mortar and pestle. Without prompting, the Gothitelle begins walking around, picking up sticks and comparing them, then setting them down. [break][break]

Noticing the panic in the Trainer's voice, Matilda smiles reassuringly, her eyes still glued to her work. "Don't worry, we'll have him up and running in no time." The berry juice is poured into each vial, filling them up the rest of the way. She stoppers them and shakes them so the powder dissolves into the liquid, then pulls a cloth from a zippered pouch. [break][break]

The Gothitelle kneels at Blink's wounded leg, seemingly having found two appropriate pieces of wood for her tastes. She gently braces Blink's leg with the wood, then takes the cloth and begins tying it around to keep the splint in place. "Oh uh, this is Garnet by the way," Matilda says to the Trainer, gesturing to the Gothitelle. "And I'm Matilda! Everyone calls me Mattie." Giving the vials a few extra shakes, she hands the three of them to the Trainer. "Give him one of these now, and one in the morning for the next two days. The splint should stay on overnight, but if it's really bothering him tomorrow you can take it off." Giving Blink a look, Matilda ruffles the fur on his neck gently. "But you have to take it easy, okay?" She says to him emphatically, but with a playful smile.

Nodding furiously, Matilda leaps to her feet with an "Oh yes please!" A glance over at Earl Grey's hard work gives her pause, and she sits back down slowly. "I mean, I would love to visit the draciary after breakfast, thank you so much Master Calcifett." She clasps her hands together and sets them on the table politely. Under the counter however her feet swing back and forth, too short to touch the ground and an easy way to get out the energy she's nearly vibrating with. [break][break]
