The match really starts to heat up. Arcanine isn’t going to give Froakie any more breathing room. HYDRO PUMP is met with a FLAMETHROWER as a smokescreen of smoke is created upon impact, which she uses as a cover to emerge in an attempt to CRUNCH the poor unsuspecting amphibian.[break][break]

A life point is taken away but that doesn’t mean they[re out of the game yet! An optimist as always. Froakie might be smaller but he’s proving himself to be a worthy opponent. Time to give it their all![break][break]
Arcanine lights herself on fire to take the SMACK DOWN head on, in hopes to catch the flying projectile. Either way, she rushes forward to try and connect another extreme kind of attack, FLARE BLITZ.[break][break]

Wind howls in the small battle space but Arcanine plants her feet firm onto the ground, snarling as electricity surges throughout her body from the TERA ORB’S effect.[break][break]
Which only gets out of control as she’s unexpectedly stabbed in the rear by FELL STINGER.[break][break]
The color drains from his face, almost fearful. “Uh oh…”[break][break]
As if awakening the devil, a flash of light nearly blinds him, but looking closer it’s Arcanine’s hell flames with sprinkles of electricity. Unfortunately, she might not listen to Toshiaki like this, stuck in a state of rage induced RAGING FURY which she unleashes onto the Beedrill, wanting to create much needed distance.[break][break]

But enough of that, back to the battle at hand! While Topaz is known for her exceptional endurance Pokemon are not gods or creatures without limits. They had a weakness and it looks like they were fully willing to take advantage of it. That’s fine. Toshiaki’s smarter than he looks![break][break]
ELECTRO BALL comes shooting across the field and both trainer and Pokemon lock eyes on the target. He stomps, feet placed firmly onto the ground and Arcanine mirrors her trainer’s movements. He pumps his fists in the air and shouts.[break][break]
“JUMP ON IT!”[break][break]
It takes precise timing, and while her paws were tougher than most (she’s not a fire type right now either, the damage would be halved) it would still hurt- but it’s better than taking the hit head on. On her trainer’s cue she hops onto the heated ball of electricity, using the explosion of energy to accelerate her forward into the air. Flames engulf Arcanine’s rolling form as she heads straight for the Pikachu with a bout of RAGING FURY.[break][break]

The yellow Arcanine is far less prissy about getting dirty. Though unlike the gutsy Sylveon, her endurance is visibly wearing thin. They both have speed to them, and from the sidelines, it’s looks like a Tom and Jerry catfight. [break][break]
There’s an attempt at distance and it almost works. She narrowly dodges the SHADOW BALL, bursting forward as the beast’s maw opens in desperation. Looks like Arcanine is attempting to CRUNCH onto one of the tricky Sylveon’s magical ribbons. Take her down with them.[break][break]

Cute but ferocious, Sylveon has proved itself not a foe to be taken lightly. Despite Topaz snickering at the other Pokemon’s singed fur, she continues to keep her guard up. Arcanine tenses as fairy dust collects at its feet, and that’s when eyes glow fiercely in retaliation. [break][break]
The messy combination of flame from it’s natural typing, and electricity from the tera energy together. It can only be described as the move RAGING FURY. Hot flames come out in waves as the Arcanine howls, aiming for the Sylveon.[break][break]

Strangely her concern for him is endearing. Even more so knowing Lilith doesn’t consider herself a gentle person, yet contradicts herself with those very concerns. It’s far different than the overprotective care his mother once imposed on him, keeping her only child hidden from the world like some kind of contraband (and in many ways he was.) [break][break]
He smiles at her. “It’s alright. Even if I fall I can always get back up! No big deal.”[break][break]

The bad hair day is enough to make both trainer and Pokemon laugh outloud. Sadly their maturity level is just about the same. However there’s no time to bask in the hilarity of the moment. Sylveon instantly retaliates and Arcanine has to fight back! Preparing for the SHADOW BALL Arcanine feels heat pile up in her lungs before unleashing a FLAMETHROWER to combat against the ball of ghastly energy.

They were at a type disadvantage with Froakie. Nonetheless, Toshiaki plans to give it his all during this match. Arcanine easily becomes disoriented by the Froakie’s DOUBLE TEAM. HYDRO PUMP hits next, and in that moment TERASTAL ENERGY engulfs the canine. Electricity flies off its rocky coat, halving the damage from the water’s stream as the type advantage is now null and void. Howling, Arcanine charges into the middle of the clones, using WILD CHARGE and taking a guess as to who it is.[break][break]
