“W-we… won? We won!” Cried Andrea in a mixture of shock and joy. It was a hard-fought victory that had taught her a valuable lesson: Just spamming big moves was not always a winning strategy. Enteisaurus had come out on top thanks to its strength AND its bulk.

The young cosplayer walked up to Gwyar, gratefully accepting his badge that shone like gold. “Thanks! I’m glad I didn’t fumble it this time. Now I finally feel ready to take on the Elite Four!”

“Yeah, but a Hyper Beam will always be stronger than a gunshot.” Andrea argued. She was a simple woman who believed that big number good. The stealth benefits of, say, a simple handgun with a silencer went over her head.

Following the scientist’s instructions, the dragon fanatic pried the breaker panel open, and flipped each switch off with an audible click. “Did I do it right?” She asked, seeking validation.

Bronson the Slowking nodded his big head, all sage like.

The giant apple retreated into the den, leaving the girls with the conundrum of figuring out how to escape this subterranean labyrinth before more threats appeared.

“Hmm, I don’t think we can Fly out on Chomper’s back like originally planned, sooo…” Andrea sent out a Shiny Slowking with glowing markings all over its pudgy body; a rare Illumina Pokémon.

“Take my hand, Cassie.” The costumed trainer offered a Hydreigon-shaped mitt to the younger woman. “Bronson, Teleport us back to the surface!”

And just like that, they were gone.

Before leaving this cave of memories, the duo were accosted by a wild Cyclizar. The rideable lizard possessed more of a backbone than the previous encounters, refusing to yield to the Salamence’s Intimidation.

“Go easy on it, Meatloaf.” At Andrea’s request, the azure dragon attacked with a not-very-effective Temper Flare that weakened the Cyclizar just enough to make catching it possible.

Should Andrea ever cross paths with dorian westcliff, she would not be running. Andrea’s Pokémon were brawlers, not runners. One way or another, she would right that injustice, just like she was going to right the injustice of Cyllora and Pecharunt being allowed to live. Josh did not need to know of her plans, though. He had enough things to worry about already.

“It’s hard to imagine Raikiri belonging to anyone but you. It’s like you two were made for each other!” The eccentric cosplayer mused, while trying to step on all the differently-colored tiles that made up this rainbow road, perfectly positioning her feet within each square. “I didn’t tick too well with my Nihilego either, so I traded with Baki, who gave me her Iron Thorns.”

She hoped Hyakkaryōran Tsubaki and Jello were doing okay. Like Josh with Isaac, she also had not heard from her in a hot minute. Not since the prison break, at least.

“I have a bunch of Paradox Pokémon now, actually.” Andrea continued. “Not just Mecha-Sandy, but also Mecha-Chomper, Terratron, Enteisaurus, Savage, Mothman, and Longlegs. Many people find them scary, but I think they’re neat!”

Meatloaf gently nudged the girl, letting out another growl. “Yeah, I know.” The trainer of dragons responded. “If Chomper were here, he would want me to be happy. But it’s hard not to think about him…”

A tiny Flapple flew past them. Upon noticing the Salamence, it Withdrew into its shell, pretending to be a regular apple.
