Expecting Andrea along any minute, Yuina did look up from Daikenki as she heard Andrea call out to her, along with... The Pokemon from the ship. Yuina's eyes cast down for a moment to the bludgeoning monster, a sore reminder of both what happened there, and the fury that Andrea mustered... The rage that engulfed all of her friends as she watched what unfolded...[break][break]
"Hi Andrea, it looks like you're already refreshed and having a great time," Yuina offered, stepping back a bit as the Ogerpon moved towards Daikenki. She almost wanted to stop it, but stopped herself... Andrea was awfully attached to it, much in the same way Doug was particularly fond of the Spidops that she had a very strong disdain for... She could make an effort.[break][break]
Daikenki chuffed with an open maw, stepping back and leaning down to sniff at the small Pokemon that ran around him.[break][break]
"Well... I wouldn't know? I've never seen... Her before. You must know more than I do about where she comes from and how long she's been around," Yuina offered, and that was a true statement. She didn't know anything about the Pokemon except for that she still felt the phantom pains sometimes of being struck by its club. She ventured she would have never seen it again either if it hadn't taken to Andrea.

Yuina moved to start tending to Dakenki as she took up a set of buffing pads, taking a seat on a tall chair. Daikenki moved to the ground beside her, laying down on his four legs and laying his large head across her lap. She intended to start working on his helmet and working out the scratches that marred the surface, and then it would be time for some oil and polish.[break][break]
She listened to Andrea as she began to work into Daikenki's helmet, applying pressure and weight to the circular motion. Some kind of legendary Pokémon? That could explain why the species was so unfamiliar, though truly Yuina still didn't have much of a leg to stand on given how small her world still was. She had never left Hoenn and didn't know if she'd ever been anywhere that wasn't Hoenn.[break][break]
Still the notion left a bit of a bitter taste in Yuina's mouth. Legendary Pokémon, the things that they were capable of, the will they pushed upon others... The only positive experience she could say she had with a 'legendary pokemon' was in a controlled environment with Kyle there with her... Any time else, they were trying to kill them all, feeding into the violence and vengeance of those they championed, or giving her visions of a future that marked her as a killer.[break][break]
"You're very dedicated Andrea, I'm sure you'll find something. Or you'll just be the leading study on what she is," Yuina offered, Andrea was nothing if not dedicated to everything she set her mind to and beyond.[break][break]
"...Maybe it's just really good for smoothing out skin and cleaning pores... I don't think a cream can do all of that for someone," Yuina wondered, a soft smile. Given though if Andrea was potentially correct about the Pokémon, it wouldn't age anyway, so three out of four things could be correct.

Starting at the crest of his shell and working over and down the right side of his head, Yuina continued to buff out the many scratches and nicks that Daikenki had along his helmet with the buffing pad. She glanced up to find Andrea working on smoothing the cream along her Pokémon's face, taking great and gentle care as she always did.[break][break]
"Gordo is a good match, I think they could be very happy together," she smiled, the two Pokémon played together well and the Sandshrew had as much personality as the Ogerpon. If anything they would just have fun together for the rest of their days.[break][break]
Finishing out a particularly rough scratch, Yuina found herself holding a bit more of the weight of Daikenki's head as it lulled to one side across her lap, the Samurott had begun to fall asleep. She chose not to wake him for the moment, instead she leaned forward a bit more to try and start work on the other side of his helmet as Andrea spoke up after a moment.[break][break]
Was something on her mind? Yuina wondered what it would be like it she didn't always have something on her mind. What was that kind of peace like?[break][break]
"Well, I'd be lying if I said I wasn't worried Andrea, worried about you," she returned after a moment, her hands falling still along Daikenki's helmet as her eyes flicked to the Pokémon that she bid to lay down.

Yuina's hands stilled along Daikenki's helmet, the Samurott had indeed dozed off and was leaned into her torso as his large head lay across her lap. She would jostle him in a moment, he deserved the rest, that's what all of this was about after all.[break][break]
"Well, if she is a legendary Pokemon...,"[break]
Doesn't that make it dangerous?[break][break]
"There's a lot of people, especially in rocket who look for them."[break]
Should you keep it so close?[break][break]
"I just don't want you to get hurt is all... everything right now makes it feel like we have to be so careful."[break]
What if it hurts you? What are we supposed to do?[break][break]
It was the same struggle that she herself was going through... She just couldn't trust it. Anything could happen, the disposition of Pokemon could change drastically. What if it got ahold of another mask like the ones on the ship? Did that amplify its power, tap into something more than it presented? The last thing she wanted was another legendary Pokemon to hurt another one of her friends like the many they had already come across, and the many that continued to whisper to those that marked a human for their own purposes.

Well, there was no taking it back... But didn't she have a right to be concerned about her friend? She knew Andrea for well longer than she did the Pokémon from the ship. She cared for Andrea, but that didn't mean she had to care for something that just recently came into their lives...[break][break]
"No, Andrea, I mean," Yuina said first, she couldn't take it back, in fact she wouldn't... She wouldn't take back that she was worried for her, that she only wanted Andrea to be safe.[break]
"It's not just her, and it's not just you, it's everyone, all of us all the time," Yuina said, but her tone was solemn, rather than angry or frustrated. It was... afraid, for all of them. Wasn't Andrea afraid of anything they had faced? The loyal three? Kyurem, Registeel, Hoopa?[break][break]
Yuina froze all together at the mention of the green sprite. Was she the only one afraid of what those Pokémon are capable of? Of what all of them wanted to do at the behest of their chosen on that ship?[break]
"Yeah... I am. Shouldn't I be? I never asked for it to come to me, I don't know what it wants," she returned after a moment. She was projecting perhaps, more than she ever intended to, it was clear in her tone. She did not speak of the sprite with a fondness. Nothing like how Andrea regarded Pon.

It was clear that the two of them saw the final events of their escape in very different lights. Andrea and the Ogerpon had joined in with the seething calls to end the Megalopolans alongside entities like the Palkia that Yuina watched course with an ire that should make anyone afraid of what it could do if it chose to. And even then, it all boiled down to one simple thing for Andrea, if Celebi just wanted to be her friend.[break][break]
If only it were that simple. Yuina knew it wasn't, but Andrea didn't. It was on her to take the onus of their conversation and let it be. She didn't exactly feel like sharing her short life's story just for Andrea to understand that... Things could never be that simple.[break][break]
"You're right Andrea, I've been insensitive about it all, probably because that was all just really difficult to get through for all of us, it just kind of felt like a reminder," Yuina offered after a quiet moment.[break]
"I haven't been in Hoenn for very long still, all of these Pokémon are new to me every time they appear. It's been a lot to take in," she admitted to some of her faults, but only just. Maybe trying to save face wasn't exactly the right way to go, but she couldn't change Andrea's mind, no one could change her mind about anything she had already decided on. And Yuina certainly wasn't going to try.[break][break]
Yuina glanced down to the ogerpon that came towards her, pleading, wanting for something that shouldn't matter... And Yuina was still hard pressed to change her own mind. But this all still stemmed from wanting to care for Andrea, someone she valued as a friend, and if that meant that the Ogerpon was involved, then that was just the way things were.[break][break]
"We'll start over Pon, okay? The past is in the past for a reason, I think we can keep moving forward."[break]
If only it were that simple.
