I’m fine, she thinks,
just peachy. The water’s great. More people should be in it, honestly. The thought beams from her head into Kanaya’s and back to
freya morningstar by means of the Gardvoir’s
telepathy.
She grips onto the Milotic’s tail and digs her fingers in, metal into strong muscle, unsure of entirely what the play is, here, but feeling like this is her bed and now she has to lie in it.
A soft nose appears beside her and her eyes blink down.
Oh. Hi, Aeris. Then, like waking from a dream, she realizes her lungs are burning. Two metal limbs or no, she still needs to breathe, so she releases the Milotic and lets Aeris raise her to the surface, gulping down frigid lungfuls of air, feeling like a swimmer surrounded by sharks, especially when an errant
air slash opens a gash on her cheek, spilling blood into the water.
Kanaya, meanwhile, is doing her best to keep Sima in the fight-- which is hard when they’re not only fighting a god, but now said god has the assistance of random magical fruit and super-juiced up powers. She’d thought she’d had both Moltres and its rider on the fence, but in a blink the tables are turned. Her skin burns where chains of darkness lay across it, and though she tries to fight against the pull, the darkness is too strong.
In the end, being dismounted ends up being nearly as much of a boon as a bane. Without Kanaya to pilot her, Sima is lost to her own confused, raging madness, and as she bares down on
BARNABY FINCH once again, she is consumed by hateful flames.
Gnashing screaming red meat blood a still-beating heart slowing to a stop in her palms“Oh no,” she says,
“not again.” To her credit, almost doesn’t seem to notice, and if it were not for the way her body was being reduced to ash-- plasteel melting, dripping into the sea, servos bursting and popping-- she may have succeeded in landing another blow. As it stood, her smoking chassis felt like discarded junk, landing into the sea with a loud plunk, steam rolling off the ocean’s surface from contact with the superheated metal.
She pushes off of Aeris, diving into the water and stroking the short distance to where the tortured, semi-molten pile of robotics lay steaming at the ocean’s surface, gas releasing from her flight valves exhaling steady streams of little bubbles and keeping her afloat. This close to the proximity of Sima’s heated remains, the blizzard is lessened, if only by little, and only for a short while.
She strokes a metal hand over a malformed slip of blue metal, cooled into an awkward shape.
“Don’t worry, girl. I can fix this.”But she had more important things to worry about right now, and Sima’s body can continue to aid her. Using the near-corpse as a floating trash island, she clambers aboard, fighting against the bluster and cut of the wind and ice.
Kanaya, writhing in the grip of
BARNABY FINCH’s chains, suddenly snaps her head to the side, as if noticing, or remembering something. She throws herself back against their hold, using psychic to amplify the reverse force, as the
future sight used by Moltres previously causes a chunch of half-frozen rock to careen towards her. It clips her, bruising the white of her flesh, but shattering the taut chains and sending her ass-over-teakettle.
Her human compatriot grabs a Pokeball and hurls it skyward, Dusknoir appearing in a flash of light. Zen catches Kanaya and holds her bridal style, as the Gardvoir throws out a hand like the best of any mob-wife and summons a
moonblast down towards the legendary bird.
