With a content smile, he tapped his finger against the beast’s Pokeball in offer of reprise in light of the heavy hits he’d delivered, watching as he condensed himself into the capsule without missing so much of a step forward in the process.[break][break]

”That said, though, I guess everyone’s already gotten here this time around,” he mused, peering towards the woman again. ”You ready to just hunker down and play healer, now~?”

Had he the chance to see the looks of the two cultists’ faces up close, he might have chosen to take it, but with the distance between the lot of them, he merely settled for the sight he beheld as the first person got knocked back by the requested Brave Bird— but not without flailing in panic for a moment or so, by the look of it.[break][break]

As if prompted immediately after, his own, beloved Draco had emerged from the ground to shove the second assailant back, effectively sending them careening back and shifting slightly upon the ground soon after.[break][break]

Lifting his hand up to his lips, he blew against his fingers before calling out the serpent’s name, tilting his head up at the sight of the aforementioned beast as he emerged some ways away.[break][break]

”Mind giving Mari a hand~?” he asked with a smile that only brightened as the Gyrados let out a roar, briefly submerged himself for all of a moment before breaking the surface beneath the nurse, propping and lifting her up atop his head.

And just like that, his brows rose in surprise, all while a subsequent glint of realization shone within his eyes at the sight of the regal creature before him. The last he remembered, he’d only seen a Pokemon of the present line up close far back within his youth— specifically before he’d left the region the first time.[break][break]

”Look at you, you beautiful little lady…” he whispered softly, a nervously concerned smile surfacing upon his lips. He eyed the creature for a small while, noting the pain that she seemed to be in with the unseemly and uncalled for greeting his own reptile had cursed her with.[break][break]

With a click of his tongue, he sighed while taking a spare Pokeball and tossing it out towards the drake.[break][break]

Nevertheless, though, he turned his head and trailed his eyes after her with nothing short of instinct as she walked her way over. He watched as she reached down to pick the sobbing creature up. He maintained eye contact as she looked over at him.[break][break]

It was slight, but he squinted slightly and softly at her touch.[break][break]

’...She’s sussy as Hell, man…’ he thought to himself, staring after her as she walked off. ’I hope nothing bad happens to them…’

He glanced towards the Gyarados by him before immediately looking up at the clouds, watching as the clouds began to contort amidst the newfound winds. ”We’re just…looking to scatter them~. Within moments, he watched as the cone quickly formed before blasting towards the cultists in the distance, effectively doing just as he’d hoped and wanted.[break][break]

”Just, y’know…stay outta the path, I guess?” Again, he gave her a glance from over his shoulder before shrugging and turning forward once more, recalling the beast and trading him out for a familiar Garchomp and Staraptor.[break][break]

He eyed between the remaining and closest cult members, nodding towards them.[break][break]

”Thaaaat being said… Draco, Dig, and Aquila— Brave Bird that bad boy, riiight there~.”
