Rory sandshrew contributed to FERNANDO SILPH's BLIZZARD, adding to its biting freeze. It allows the sheet of ice to regrow with every electric blast, providing heavenly opportunities to strike their lanky bodies with their pokeballs.



Toss after toss, the young electrician dug into her satchel for more pokeballs to throw, sucking up the ultra beasts along with the others within the party.



It looked to be working.

She nodded, listening intently as she continued to mix together the ingredients.

"Where do you live now?"

The question naturally came up, ignoring the obviousness of it all. With his brother revealing their identity to the world, there was only one place left to live. And it wasn't slateport.

When the realization hit, Rory immediately bit into her cheeks. Embarrassment felt like a slap to the face.

"Sorry, bad question."

"Sure, okay, yeah!"



There were her roommates to consider, but compared to her previous situation of bringing guys back home to her parents, she'd take nosey roommates any day of the week.



She shrugged it off.



They'll understand, anyways.



In the corner of her eye, a small Pawmo made its appearance. Rory nearly died from delight.



"Aw, look how cute! C'mere little guy."



The electric type approached with hesitancy, but as soon as she reached down to pet his head, it all washed away. A natural reaction to Rory's radiance, some might say.



"What kind of snacks do you like then? For studying, I mean."

Fear trickled just below the skin. This wasn't a game anymore. There, not too far out of reach, the several ultrabeasts hung, lanky arms swaying in the pulsing air.



To FERNANDO SILPH's question, she shuddered, the answer coming to her small puffs of thought.



"Maybe," she murmured, peering out toward the group. "It also kinda looks like it's...feeding off of it."



It was hard to tell. Between the dangling limbs and sparks of electricity, there was much to be desired from the site.



She looked back at the group.



"What do we do then?"

Rory hated social gatherings. Especially when they were packed to the brim with strangers she hadn't held a clue as to how to interact with. Sure, this time around, most were old friends with who she would normally communicate through text with, but that differentiation between text chat and face-to-face conversation was just the jump she needed to feel uncomfortable.



Still, she went, dressed up in a pair of jeans and a white frilly crop top.



Hovering nearly the outer outline of the crowd, her eyes caught wind of a ribbon of red.



"emerson whitlock? Is that you?"

She shook her head lightly.

"Honestly, I've always wanted to! But, somehow, I always end up getting another cupcake or cookie or whatever."


A soft giggle trickled out. The mixture was looking near its finishing point, all colors melding into one solid slob of brown. Reaching over, she began plucking out the other ingredients, plopping them into a separate bowl to stir.

"Do you have any suggestions on where I should go? I've been here forever, but I never seem to have much luck with bakeries."

It took every piece of confidence to will her body still. It was one thing to be left alone, climbing up the Ferris wheel with someone, but it was something else entirely to feel the warmth of their presence so close to her own.

"It's amazing," she breathed. A bright, starry-eyed expression lit her face ablaze as the twinkle of the city distracted her fluttering heart and racing thoughts. The world felt so small from where they stood, up above it all. A playground to which their wildest dreams could flourish. "I wish I could look at this view forever."

"If you’d rather be doing something else, what stops you? Is it money? Is it pressure from your family? Is it your own lack of self-confidence? Or does some other thing prevent you from doing what you want to do?"

My fear of the unknown... I rather not get too into it, though

"What would your ideal date be? And who with?"

OH MY GOD!! Um, I have to think about this and you're putting me on the spot a bit!  Honestly, i find romantism tied to the other's efforts to impress. Sooo I'd be okay with anything, really! Though....i've always wanted to have a picnic on the beach. Maybe share a meal while we watch the sun set together.

"Do you believe in astrology? What's your star sign?"

YES YES YES YES!! People joke, but I think you can tell a lot about someone through their star sign! Just look at me. Do I look like anything OTHER than a pisces?

"What was your favourite stuffed animal or toy as a kid?"

Oh! I had this little A/C car I used to drive around the house alllllll the time. I remember even trying to tweak it a bit to make the wheels speed up faster -- big mistake. The thing almost blew up in my face.

"Who would you want to raise your child if you die unexpectedly? Why?"

My good-for-nothing brother aaron faust . Wait-- these answers don't get posted right? Right??

"If you didn't live in Hoenn, which other region would you rather live in? Why?"

hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. Unova, maybe? Their industrial industry is huge, so I'd like to think there would be more than a few opportunities for me there.

"Everybody has at least one unpopular opinion. What’s yours?"

The notebook sucks!!! I'm sorry, i'm sorry, but it really does. It's so slow and boring and the guy isn't even that cute...

"If you could have any Pokemon ability, what would it be and why?"

I don't know, sorry. 

"Despite everything that's happened and will happen, why are you still in Hoenn?"

I love hoenn. And my family is here.

"If you can be an avatar, which legendary Pokemon would you prefer to be your patron?"

Melmetal! I find that little thing so so so cute!

"Do you have a role model? If so, who is it and why?"

Lulu Flint! Wish I was more like her sometimes. Oh, and JAMES BAKER! What a cool guy. 

"What turns you on? What gets you excited?"

"I am!"

Its with a skipped beat her heart bounced against her chest, erratic with nerves. 

Slipping out her phone, she looked to add the date onto her calendar. 

"We can meet at my place, if you want. Or a library maybe? Either works."

It'd been a while since her last interview, much less a prep session for it.

A Ferris wheel? The mention immediately sprung Rory to life, throwing her into a twirl. Turning to look up at the Ferris wheel, her hand reached up to the far-off wheel, fingers outstretched wide as a fan. 

"Let's start there!!"

She glanced back over her shoulder. Tilting her back to let out a fluttery laugh. 

"I want to see see the entire city from up there."

"ah, okay," she breathed, a bit disappointed. Between the two options, she would've preferred the more technical style. It's where she would've shined the most.

Which is why she wasted no time accepting his offer.

"Actually, if you could help, I'd appreciate it. Interviews, mm, get me a bit nervous. "

 Memories of bursting out the doors of her first interviews instantly came to mind -- that one had ended with her barfing and totally not getting the job. She shuddered at the thought.

His light touch goes unnoticed. Probably for the best. 

"Hmmm!"

Dropping the wooden spoon into the bowl, Rory propped her hands onto her hips, eyebrows furrowing in thought. Cookies were by far her favorite, but there had to be more, right?

"I like chocolate treats, but only if it's balanced right. Likeee chocolate chip cookies, or a chocolate cupcake with vanilla icing. I like cake, too, but I always mess up when I try baking those."

She glanced over at him. 

"What about you?"
