Aidan couldn't help but smile once she said it was okay, even if it wasn't towards they job or him being in her way. The simple and small bit of reassurance was very new to him when it came to Rocket work. It could even be a reaction to giada morgan's own small but sunny smile, which was still something he had been used to.[break][break]

"Oh, I hope I came dressed properly for the event then!" He'd speak up in shock, as he looked over at his own clothes hoping he wasn't already messing up their sweet sweet plan. After all, what kind of personal investigator wouldn't know how to blend in, his pride was on the line![break][break]

Her last question took Aidan by surprise, he in fact didn't know much about the event other than it was some form of black tie event. "Matter of fact, I'm not familiar at all with the event." He was deeply hoping they had enough time for her to explain about the event. "I do apologize for my lack of knowledge, I've been pushed into new jobs a lot. Busy few days." It wasn't the best excuse but it was a real one. "I can tell you this for free though! We might have a little trouble blending in because your dress does look amazing."[break][break]

The beautiful scenery, the sea breeze and the amazing smell of grilling meats. What else could Aidan ask for in a summer day. The amazing sizzling sound as things were flipped in the grill, as if a beacon had been lit. It was exactly what Aidan had wanted, even the company of wild pokemon would do him great right about now.[break][break]

As he would look behind him to reach for another drink, he'd see something really odd. A purple zigzagoon slinkied itself towards him through the many small dunes of sand, a voice trailed behind him. "No no no! It's all good, no need to leave the poor man alone." Aidan would say crouching down and offering something from the grill to the little guy.[break][break]

"In fact you two would be most welcome to join me!" Perhaps it was strange for him to invite a stranger and their pokemon like this but Aidan was in a incredibly good mood, it was very soothing when he didn't have to stress out about Rocket missions and apocalyptic scenarios.[break][break]

"I have some alcohol in the cooler and plenty of food!" Aida's old and caring ways coming out for a brief moment.[break][break]

A hard won victory but a victory nonetheless. The Zapdos had been taken down with help from many people, the spoils of war had come in a shape Aidan had not expected at all, from the feathery remains of the pokemon, like a phoenix rising once more, an egg would be hatched and a small Zapdos would soon find Aidan and imprint on him. The cheers quickly filled the air as a new King and Queen had been chosen Raziel Beckett and Summer Atreides . A time of happiness and festivities were upon them, if only Aidan knew how far this world would take everyone.[break][break]

One Month Later

Calyrex had finally visited the city, information had been shared among the chosen royals. Everyone was slowly getting used to one another as time passed, fights still broke out here and there. Rooms at the Ionia Hotel would quickly be filled up, Aidan would try to stay close someone he knew, grabbing himself a room on the same floor as Rowan Wrynn. The one person he had been able to become friends with in this short period of time. Time flew by very fast as everyone scattered and started looking for their own ways of becoming a useful member of the community.[break][break]

Aidan had always struggled when it came to things such making choices for himself, always someone who had taken order after order. Perhaps he had always made the choices himself and he just needed someone to blame, the Sinnoh police force or even the Syndicate, always someone to push the blame on. In this world, in the dream like realm he was free from guilt and his past, he was free to make his choices. [break][break]

One Year Later

Things never got easier but things that had been new to Aidan had slowly become routine. Often times he could be found jogging around the village, his ever-growing Zapdos by his side, like a child and it's father. As everyone began picking the jobs that suited them the most, Aidan would pick and make his own tasks. Feeling that they should have a better system for communicating with the other cities, using his small knowledge of radios from his days at the Sinnoh police academy he's slowly work on trying to make their communication long range, it was daunting work but it was something that kept him busy. Time itself had never stopped. Slowly he would meet and befriend new people, first through Rowan Wrynn he would meet Adrian Malcolm and Serena Malcolm . Furthermore, because of Choco, his Zapdos he would meet GIDEON GRAVES who would patch him up any time he would get hurt, didn't matter if it was from battle or training the legendary pokemon. Due to his connection with Zapdos he would also befriend Naomi Sato , the Rocket scientist and his superior, she had been the one in charge of studying the bird like pokemon and learning it's secrets. Ten Years Later

Life truly had it's ups and downs, even when in a dream. Losses were always felt by everyone in the city, it had come to the poinbt where everyone knew each other, where everyone had grown attached. Rivalries from the past had become friendships, old relationships had fallen apart or bloomed into hope filled flowers. As years passed even Aidan had been able to grasp unto glimpses of what could have been a life spent someone else. Nights had been spent with Summer Atreides , a small fling he would never regret or forget, after all she was a great leader who he admired and would follow till the end. Nights had even been filled by Serena Malcolm , someone who he quickly grew attached to due to the people they were connected to, she truly was someone unforgettable who he would always enjoy the company of but sadly good things never last forever. Along with the tremendous work he had training his Zapdos he would not have forgotten his personal work with the radio. Thankfully with the help of Eris Halla and her greater knowledge of electronics they would always keep trying, never giving up for a second because at the other end there was someone else trying to connect with them, paxton concordas . Whenever Aidan could send a letter he'd always try to give the man an update on how far hi's and Eris' had come.[break][break]

Despite the great calamity that Necrozma's had brought to the city and the many deaths it had brought to everyone. The things that Aidan always kept in his mind had always been the good times. Whenever angelo vestri and skyler dross threw their big banquets for Christmas or even whenever they invited people to eat, it was always heartwarming, they were truly two of the kindest people he had met. The times Aidan and parker jones would let go of everything and drink their troubles away at the bar, laughing and talking shit. Someone Aidan respected and admired for the job they provided to the city was Gunner Graves but they never got the chance to work together but he was someone Aidan fully trusted his own life with on the battlefield.[break][break]

One of the most notable moments for him had been when Naomi Sato handed him his own weapon. As someone who had spent a lot of time in the front lines it meant the world to him to have something that could potentially save his life. Despite having been something he requested her, he had never expected that it would have been so perfectly close to his specifications. The only thing he could reply her with was a truthful "Thank you!" Both him and his Zapdos would give her a slight bow before their left the blacksmith's area, perhaps even a tear rolling down his face.[break][break]

Aidan's upbeat personality was only but a persona he had to keep up for the day, in fact on the inside he wanted to die and be buried 6ft deep. He just wanted the day and his work to be over, there was a book calling for his name at his room at the Rocket HQ. Alas, a job was a job and the two of them had to complete it. [break][break]

It was fairly noticeable how behind Naia Kayode had been, he could exactly no the reasoning but he did have a few guesses. It could have been due to her not exactly trusting him, that she didn't trust their environment or even that she didn't feel confident on the people they were working with, Aidan couldn't exactly blame her in those aspects, he knew exactly how it felt to be in a place you never wanted to be in. "The job keeps us busy, sometimes that's all we can ask for." He wasn't exactly the best person for small talk either, normally his interactions with people were direct and precise due to the nature of his work, he didn't exactly want to small talk either since they'd be arriving at the meeting spot very soon.[break][break]

After a few minutes of walking they had arrived, small alley that led them to a tattoo parlor. A man awaited for them at the entrance. With a few nods between Aidan and the stranger they would trade envelopes. Opening the envelope Aidan would hand one of the Hoenn passports and a Hoenn ID to Naia. "Check if all the information is all correct." He'd check his own too, squinting once he saw the name they had given him. "Do I look like an Atticus!? Fuuuuuck me." It was what it was, he had to take what he was given, everything else looked very much perfect at least.[break][break]

Fishing, that was the only thing Aidan had planned that day. Little did he know that he was about to have the fight of his life while trying to take a break from life. It had been his own fault for keeping up with news about pokemon raids and how incredibly annoying it could be for someone who was simply trying to catch some magikarp for dinner.[break][break]

He just wanted some simple frid fish, not a poisonous massive fish that could probably end his lift as swiftly as a puffer fish could end the life anyone out there in the world dun dun duuuuuun. Nothing lost and nothing gained though, Aidan knew he had enough bad luck to not even have a single nibble on the bait he was using.[break][break]

Till he was wrong, something finally tugged and he had to pull, all he knew was that there was something aquatic at the end of the line, he still wished it was some old boot though.[break][break]

Aidan's return to Slateport, not for some villainous for Rocket. What Aidan came looking for in Slateport this time was peace, a reminder of a short lived time, when he had arrived in the city for The Splashfest. Within the busy days of Mantine surfing, diving and spending time dunking strangers in water tanks, he had missed the opportunity of having a beach side BBQ.[break][break]

Thankfully he had prepared 90% of the things already all that was left was to light the fire and start grilling! Hopefully the smell of sizzling meats and veggies would work as a beacon for more people to join him, everyone deserved a little siesta time. Cracking open a canned margarita, he'd stand near the grill like the metaphorical dad.[break][break]

There was beach chairs, cold lemonade, a bunch of alcoholic beverages in the cooler and the whole ocean ahead of them. It was a day he was willing to live out for as long as he possibly could, he knew the chaos of Hoenn would eventually overwhelm everyone once again soon enough, so the small set up was for people to simply join![break][break]

At first, their quest like a impossible one but as more and more people gathered up and attacked what looked like the root of the problem it became clearer that if they were to get anywhere in this strange world it would require teamwork. Once Aidan and his Alakazam kept Naomi Sato safe, their small victory feeling more and more like a poisoned chalice, as everything turned sour once Aidan started looking around him waiting for their next task, the task that never came.[break][break]

Taking a few seconds to gather information about his surroundings he'd start to pay attention those around him. He had never met any of these people but it was clear that they all knew each other, the tension could easily be cut with a knife. He wanted nothing to do with their history, nor was he to judge who was connected to who here, perhaps this was the perfect time for him to step back and remove himself before being hit with a stray. As if a sign from the heavens itself, a ominous bird like screech would fill the air. Aidan's signal that he should clearly move towards whatever monster made those noises, anything felt better than being caught in the middle of a ticking time bomb fueled by human emotions. As he would begin to make his quiet and swift exit, the ground below him would shake as a gigantic Kingler appeared out of the hole that had been left from their previous cleaning job.[break][break]

Like a trapdoor spider, the building sized Kingler would attack those that had entered it's domain, dust and dirt filling the air as it's massive pincers moved. Aidan could hear the mayhem, names were being thrown around, commands were being given, surely everyone would be okay. As the dust around him settled a bit he could see a smaller but still ferocious Kingler fighting on their side, taking this opportunity Aidan would signal their exit to his Alakazam and head towards where the eldritch screech had come from.[break][break]

Moving towards the barricades, Aidan could hear the sounds of another battle going on. Soon he'd arrive to find the owner of the horrific screech. A bird pokemon locked in battle with once again two people Aidan had never met (skyler dross and angelo vestri). An army of pokemon marching towards them behind commander Zapdos. [break][break]

"Time to join the heroes!" Aidan would say while still running towards the fight, in a flash of light he'd allow his Alakazam to Mega evolve. "HIT THE CHICKEN WITH A PSYBEAM!" Pointing towards Zapdos in hopes of helping the two that were already fighting it. Calyrex wanted heroes, it was finally time for Aidan to do something good in his life.[break][break]

So far everything had pretty much been one crazy occurrence after another, this much had been expect but there was no way they could have predicted or prepared for magical mist that took them too different places. This had become far above Aidan's Rocket paygrade, he surely should come out with dental plans after this.[break][break]

As Rowan Wrynn reunited with Mei Liu and himself, Aidan was ready to keep going on their treacherous journey, only taking a pause when rick newton was mentioned. "I have faith he'll find his own way, something tells me he'd want us to keep going." A small feeling he had in the back of his mind, maybe one day their paths would meet once again. [break][break]

Following Mei's suggestion, Aidan would start heading towards the mountain that she had pointed out. That was the smart plan, they could get a vantage point, learning and being able to visually map out the area would be crucial moving forward. There were hints here and there showing them that the world itself wasn't going against them but instead guiding them in a set direction, the mist allowing them all to gather together despite being lost, the Gimmighoul helping Rowan find his lost team mates and now a GIANT FIRE BIRD![break][break]

Turning around to find a incredible creature right in front of their very eyes, should they fight it, should they run from it? "Fuck!" Aidan would throw his pokeball out as his Gengar would materialize from it's shadow. "Mega my boy! and go for a Sucker Punch" From all the information he had gathered it felt like they shouldn't be running away, perhaps the pokemon was guarding something, the next step to their adventure, it was only logical. Aidan could feel the awkwardness, nor that he cared. Most things he had to do for Rocket were strictly professional and he had no personal or emotional ties to anyone in the organization, just another day and another job in the long list of things for him to do. The fastest he got through this day the healthier his mind would be. [break][break]

"We have all the time you don't worry." They really didn't but such was life. They still had to pick up their illegal papers and go look for outfits to blend into the crowd, if everything went according to plan it should be a quick job but that was no reason to dilly dally before getting there.[break][break]

"We can keep those for later, maybe dessert if we end up staying out too long." That wasn't code for anything, he just wasn't hungry. [break][break]

"We should get going though, don't want any troubles with the lads." That part was true enough though, not wanting to have troubles both with the people they were meeting or a superior from Rocket.[break][break]
