KANTO, SAFFRON CITY — On Monday, March 20th, Saffron City of the Kanto Region was struck by a sudden and terrible storm. After losing control of their security systems, the governmental media outlet was hacked. A single message was broadcast across the region by the assumed culprits: “Tyranny is not Peace”. The breach in security damaged the region’s cyber-security to a disastrous point allowing time limited but free access to databases and archives generally well-protected along with free access to other news outlets outside of the region.

Shortly after the event, small groups of protestors were seen taking to the streets. There were no acts of violence until Tuesday, when a small Game Corner in Pallet Town was overrun by vigilante forces then another in Lavender Town. Each Game Corner was branded with the same call to arms: “Tyranny is not Peace”.

The Kanto government ensures the people that the breach in security disseminated false information. They vow to uphold their high standards of government and increase their security tenfold to keep their promise of providing Kantonians with a safe and reliable government. Any resistance will be met with swift and severe punishment.

Despite the recent conference and discussion of opening Kanto’s borders, the representative for the region has relayed that this has been tabled due to the security breach, “... we are not dismissing the negotiations. We are simply focusing on the safety of our people for the time being. That is our top priority and will always be.”

HOENN — Hoenn privacy protection regulators and intelligence have launched an investigation into Macro Cosmos and Passerby HQ Analytics over concerns of user data collection. These companies have produced the hit mobile game, Rondez-view of Luv, a dating simulator that uses deepfake and AI technology to create scenarios in which you can interact with representations of real figures.

Outraged users have accused the game developers of augmenting these scenarios with real and personal information without their permission. Commissioner dahlia goode has made a statement criticizing her appearance in the game in a "CO-OP ROUTE". In a recently released statement from her office, she said that "[Rondez-view of Luv] does not provide an accurate and truthful representation of her image, the Hoenn League, and of the future".



Online, fans have expressed interest in what is portrayed in the game. Some believe the application shows glimpses into the future and the past, despite worries over misinformation.

Rondez-view of Luv's voluminous terms of service have you agree to accessing personal data like device information, location, camera, contacts, calendars, and what kind of content you engage with and for how long. However, the average user is unlikely to read dozens of pages of details, nor is it reasonable to expect the consumer to nitpick every detail.
