tag notes | With Chad and Sanford out of the game, that left them at a max total of ten right now, and there was no telling what stood behind this door. Pondering every option wasn't something he could do, and while he had tricks up his sleeve, he had to be impulsive. With Kurze and Jelly on borrowed time with their burns, they had to think of a means of counter attack.
While Caesar's Rock Slide wasn't able to find its initial target, it did find two of the three Litwicks on the receiving end. That was the best news he had heard, but it wasn't enough. That Froslass was a menace, but it's when Ashley notices the air around them that he realizes why it missed.
"Icicles... did it use hail?" Of course. It was so cold, it was unable to hit its mark because of SNOW CLOAK. This Froslass was the smartest enemy in the room, and it used the heat of the fire Pokemon to hide and evaporate the hail immediately. The look on Ashley's face showed it all.
He was thinking a strategy to fight back, but right now, they needed to move. They needed the second to think. As Ashley reeled back to slap his foot into the door, it flies open, as Team Isaac, Ashley, and the kids funnel inwards.
A bedroom. It's one layered in an amount of dust, and Ashley is checking everything, racing inside, with Sunny and Jelly to enter moments after. There's a violin, a pendant on the table, a desk, a bathroom, a desk in the corner, and-
Ashley's eyes see it almost immediately.
"Is that a trap doo-"
Kurze's Sucker Punch finds purchase on something, as Ashley and Isaac feel ghostly black arms grabbing their faces, and throwing them across the room, into the painting, only to immediately after find itself being cut into by the Bisharp's Sucker Punch. Unfortunately for Kurze, that burn was incredibly painful.
A Cofagrigus. Great. That's exactly what they needed, more fucking specters. But it isn't just that, no no no. The Chandelure floats in with the Litwick, and the room goes cold again. The Froslass is waiting in the wings.
As a means of revenge, Jelly attempts a BRUTAL SWING in vain, as with the burns he isn't so used to his body, but with an Electro Ball from Sunny, perhaps something can work! The Cofagrigus winces in pain, able to be hit, which leads the bunny to rub his now-LIBERO'd Electric Typing on the floor, preparing a big Electro Ball.
Kurze unfortunately has to contend with the Chandelure and Litwick, who make a deadly gambit. The two conjure purple blames, aimed towards the young boy, intending to burn him to a crisp with a FIRE BLAST and EMBER combination.
And unfortunately for Jelly, the Froslass is extra brutal, for just as he attempts to pull the young Truesdale son out of the way, an ICE BEAM freezes the poor bear solid, unable to jump in the way. And poor Jelly is out cold.
Ashley is down two Pokemon now, and as he gets himself up to his feet, he eyes the Cofagrigus, holding both children hostage. "Dammit!" With another Pokeball thrown out, and Pulse, he tells them both. "Hit that mummy hard!" With a well-timed SHOCK WAVE from Pulse to the Coafagrigus, it gives Lucia all the time needed for a SPARK tackle. The Cofragigus lets go of the children, angry. Giving Isaac a nod, they needed to take the situation back.
Four Ghosties left. Time to level the playing field.
