Niky was making sure everything was set up right. Thankfully, his Bagon, Metang, and Larvitar weren't amateurs or anything. They've done this before. His Lucario on the other hand was just learning. He didn't just want them to be strong battlers, but also helping out around the shop and his DJ work. This was a DJ job...a function of some sort for various modelling agentcies. He'll openly admit that he didn't pay much attention as to the exact purpose of the function, just that they needed a DJ and had some song requests and a particular theme in mind. So he made sure that the song list had that theme. Which oddly enough a couple of his singles did fit, so he included those in. He also brought along an electric guitar for some unknown reason.

Either way, the job paid well. And it let him get out of Rustboro. Thankfully @sebastien didn't have a tour, concert, or recording session these next two days. But did right after he got back. Thankfully no one so far were Karens. Still, he kept Sol the Larvesta around on a stand with a sign that said "Don't pet me. I will burn you. Also, don't be rude to me, my friends, and my trainer, or I will burn you. Lawsuits be damned, this is a warning to not be a jerk. Please heed it." And Sol will glare holes into even Aggron's hides. Gojira and Slick had just gotten done setting up the last of the speakers, and Optimus the Metang tested it out real quick. Good. Just the right balance. Not quite loud enough that you needed to scream and yell to talk, but not so quiet that someone couldn't really get in the groove if they wanted, and go all out dancing.

The blonde wielded a cane due to an old injury that ended his idol career. But his support structure was...good enough at least. Still, he could get on with more people. Bunch of attractive pieces would be nice as well...assuming they were male and didn't mind him having a bum leg. But time will tell. He just needed to wait for the signal to get things pumpin. The first song was 16 shots...hopefully no one here was going to get that hammered...

In Rustboro, there was a record store, whose owner was just signed on as the bassist to Teravolt, a rock band that was gaining popularity. In the shop, there was an employee who was once an idol. Two stands just inside the shop held two Pokemon, a Larvesta named Sol and a Popplio named Fabia. There was a sign on each stand, one warning that shoplifters will be set on fire by Sol, and that Fabia will not put them out. The signs also said not to pet the Pokemon. Larvesta looked kind of mean to begin with, and there was a warning on the sign that Fabia bites. Inside the store, a Larvitar and Bagon can be seen with product and putting up displays/refilling product, with direction from a Metang. At the register was a blonde young man with two computers, though the second one was unseen.

Hanging on the counter was his cane. Niky just stared blankly at the mom trying to purchase a record that was notorious for its bad language for her clearly underage son. He even pointed at the sticker that warned her about the language, hence the reason it needed parental permission, and why he couldn't sell it to her son without her presence. Instead of an understanding person, he got a Karen. With a snap of his fingers, the nails of which painted yellow to match his hair, his Metang came up behind her. Once it had garnered her attention, with it looming behind her menacingly, finally silencing her, Niky was able to actually talk to her. "Now that I can speak, ma'am, if you think your nine year old child can handle the language on this record, of course you may purchase it. But be aware that I cannot take back a used product. I can give you a taste of the music at that kiosk over there on this record, with its mildest track, then you can change your mind if you so wish. But do not yell at me like this again. Or Sol will have some good target practice. Or Optimus behind you there. Your choice please?"

After a huff, she went over to the kiosk, with her child pale as a ghost. After setting it up with his other computer, which was also connected to the cameras, he watched as she put on the headphones. And her scowl turned into wide eyed horror and a chilling stare at her child. After a mere minute, she put down the headphones, apologized to him, and dragged her child out. Shaking his head, Niky wondered why the kid enjoyed that explicit music to begin with, but well, rock wasn't his thing, and yet his boss was now the bassist for one such band. His blue-green eyes scanned the store to see another customer heading up towards him. Giving a far more genuine smile, he asked the traditional retail question: "How may I help you, sir?"

Niky was at the register, ringing out customers. With a customer service smile. Luckily, no one suspicious or anything like that. Of course, he's heard that his boss managed to sign on with Teravolt. Not necessarily his cup of tea, but there had been a few songs he found himself jamming to. Sol, his Larvesta, continued to stare menacingly around. Below her was a sign that said "Yes, Sol will light shoplifters on fire. No, Fabia will not put you out. Do not pet." It did pretty good at deterring such people and creepers. Meanwhile, his Larvitar and Bagon were running around, putting out more product. Things had gotten busy since the confirmation. Much to some people's disappointment to see him and not Sebby.

Still, Niky was far from ugly, and while there was some disappointment of not seeing a celebrity...they quickly ignored it since there was him. Metang patrolled the aisles, both to help customers and making sure there were no shoplifters. Luckily it wasn't a problem, but famous people do attract all things. The previous day, Seb had given him the day off. But today, he insisted on working. He needed to see it for himself. Ah, it was already taking him back...but sadly those days were gone. Still, he quite enjoyed his current life now. The bell rang to let him know a new customer had come in. Looking over he saw his boss. A quick nod towards him, and Niky continued to finish up with the customer, a pair of girls. The duo looked towards his employer and squealed, hurting his own ears and ran towards Seb. After they were done, Niky chuckled and leaned on the counter, staring down the bassist. "Used to it yet?" The corner of Niky's mouth quirked up in a small, teasing grin.
