Noel gives an approving nod to Navy's plan. He pats Voyager on one side of his body to signal he was ready. Voyager then takes off with incredible speed, veering to the left towards the two gang members he was assigned to. He was certainly outmatched by sheer numbers alone, not only by the riders but their Pokemon as well who could easily end them if they weren't careful.[break][break]

Wielding their baseball bats, the men stick close to one another with their weapons to their sides, ready to strike at any moment and covering each other's flanks. Voyager comes up from behind on one of them and steadily gains in on them. Grabbing hold of their shirt with a bite from his mouth, lifting him up completely off the Cyclizar and tossing them to the side, tumbling along the road with surely broken bones. With no one to command it the Cyclizar breaks off in search of its owner.[break][break]

With only one remaining member in their way, Noel points forward, motioning Voyager to come up to the side of the last rider. Voyager does as he's asked, sprinting forward and keeping in pace with the speeding Cyclizar. The gang member sees this coming and with a shout like a battle cry, swings his bat backwards towards Noel's body. Noel lifts his arms in a guard-like stance, letting his arms take the blow instead of his frame. It hurt, it hurt like hell, but with this opportunity Noel grabs a hold of the bat, holding onto the front end and punting the biker's face with the back end of it. The rider falls off, taking the Cyclizar with him from still holding onto the handlebars. While watching the both of them crash down onto the ground, Noel tosses the bat away, he didn't like to use weapons and thought it would more likely just get in his way.[break][break]

Panting, Noel frantically searches for Navy, wondering if he was as successful as him. The rush of the road battle left him somewhat dizzy and tired but he pushed on, determined to see this through. He then notices Navy up ahead and shouts.[break][break]

"Hey! I'm all done on my end! How's it looking for you?"[break][break]

A Coincidental Team-Up

Noel just stood there a bit dumbfounded at the man's barking order. He didn't follow immediately in order to get a hold of the situation he was in. That person certainly didn't look like the owner, he thought, but there are all kinds of different people in the world so he didn't really question it too much.[break][break]

"Huh? Oh uh... sure, that's what I'm here for."[break][break]

He opens the gate, walks right in and closes it behind himself, following behind the strange person. He picks up his pace to catch up to them until he's side by side, walking alongside them with the Wooloo in tow.[break][break]

"Um... hello I'm here for the job for the protection of these Wooloo, but what is it you want me to do exactly? The ad wasn't exactly specific on the details."[break][break]

The game owner tallies up all the guesses from each player at the booth and then rings a bell. He announces that while no one guessed exactly the right number the closest still wins the prize and that happened to be Mint. He hands over a coupon for a half off discount at any restaurant in Dewford to Mint, congratulating them.[break][break]

"Heh, these types of games I was never good at, but congrats, you earned it."[break][break]

Noel smiles at the boy as he receives his prize, wondering what they should do next. There were still plenty of rides to go on and even the performances they could watch. He thought he'd let his friend decide since he felt like he had been dragging Mint along to do whatever he wanted.

Third times the charm. He truly believed those words. There was no possible way he could fail yet again, not a third time. His pride couldn't take that sort of blow. He stands in front of the booth, staring directly at the target robin coello as if they were the cause of this feeling. He waits there for a few seconds, closing his eyes as if he was meditating when suddenly his eyes open up with a fury in them. He readies his ball and throws it forward. This time, he thought, this time it ends here.

Noel spends a few minutes just catching his breath, thinking more on his situation. Sure this person had just saved his life but that didn't mean he could trust him in this Rocket infested city. He spends a moment to debate on what he should say.[break][break]

"My...My name is Noel... I got into a fight with someone and well... you can see how that turned out."[break][break]

Speaking on the matter felt like a sting to his body. Or perhaps it was because of all the wounds that he reacted this way. He decided to be a bit honest to the doctor but he didn't want to give everything out just yet. He would determine whether or not Dwayne was trust worthy.[break][break]

I thank you for treating me but I need to get back on my way... I have to get back to the man who did this to me."[break][break]

He attempted to get up but that just caused more pain, with a painful shout his body slumps back onto the table roughly. He wanted to try again but his body wouldn't listen to him, it was as if he had lost control of his bodily motions.[break][break]

Sparing no time to help out Lam, Noel begins to pick up any trash he can find, the occasional bottle and wrappers here and there, throwing them all away into a trash bin supplied by the city. He puts his hands on his hips, taking a small breather to compose himself, and replies to the question.[break][break]

"Nothing so grand really... I'm on a mission to collect all the gym badges and eventually face off against the champion... but that's something very far off from now."[break][break]

He lets out a sigh, thinking on his journey ahead of him and how much he would have to go through. There was still plenty of the world to see and people to meet along the way to each gym but he hated how long it would take. Here he was collecting trash when he could be doing something more important but he couldn't say no to helping someone out. It was in his nature to lend an aid to anyone whenever possible.[break][break]

His Pokemon were also helping out, soon filling almost every trash can with either Krabby or waste. Meanwhile his Eevee and Lam's Shinx were out playing more than helping. [break][break]

"But enough about me, I'd like to learn more about you Lam, do you live around here and is this your day to day job?"[break][break]

Following closely behind Navy, Noel takes note of the amount of gang members they would have to subdue. If they weren't careful they could easily get outnumbered by them all. Even with the Cyclizar's speed from its automated wheels, Voyager was able to keep up with just its legs. Something Noel didn't think would be possible but here he was now to witness it.[break][break]

Upon catching up with the end tail of the gang, he sees one of its members ready an attack against Navy. Surely Navy could dodge it easily with his expertise, Noel thought, but perhaps this was part of the test. Determined to show his worth and how much he could be trusted, he shouts out to Voyager.[break][break]

"Go Voyager! Make sure nothing happens to Navy!"[break][break]

With that command, the red hound rushes forward with Extreme Speed. Bumping its body against the back end of the Cyclizar, causing it along with its owner to lose control, spinning out along the road until they both come crashing down, landing on the grass to the side. Noel doesn't look back to see what had befallen to the burned out gang member, he wasn't sure if that was too much force he had used but it didn't matter to him. That was just one less obstacle in the way and there were plenty of riders still out in front of them.

"None please, I like my caramel apples the way they are."[break][break]

Noel was a simple person, its not like he didn't want to try on all those other toppings, he just didn't really bother to. He liked his candy and food just the way they are. He begins to munch on the apple and finishes it in just a few seconds. Upon hearing Mint's challenge he figured he could spend more time with his friend. He was enjoying his time together plus who could say no to free food. at the next booth over he saw a guess how many Tynamo are in the tank game and points to it.[break][break]

How about we do that one? See which one us is luckier."[break][break]

He scoots on over to the booth and upon receiving instructions for the game he guesses that there are 46 Tynamo in the tank. He then awaits Mint's answer.[break][break]

"Oh I completely forgot to introduce myself, sorry I got caught in the moment but my name is Noel. It might be a bit late to say this but its very nice to meet you. And... I think I'll take that caramel apple if thats ok."[break][break]

The rush of everything happening all at once caused Noel to overlook alot of things, he had completely forgotten his manners during their first meeting. He points to the caramel apple at the stand, despite his looks and demeanor Noel was a big fan of sweets. Thinking of what to do next, he looks around to see what other games they could play. He eyes booths such as the Magikarp Fishing Game. But he would wait until after he got his prize to suggest anything else.[break][break]

Noel looks down at Mint and smiles, clearly this plush meant more to him than to Noel. And so as a gesture of good will for their brand new friendship, he hands over the Zigzagoon plush, practically forcing it into Mint's hands.[break][break]

"Here its yours. I just picked it on a whim but it seems like you really like this Pokemon don't you?"[break][break]

He also wasn't one for decorations like this. His room only had the bare necessities like a bed and blankets, so why not give the plush away especially to someone who will covet it. He lets out a hearty laugh and lightly pats Mint's shoulder.[break][break]

"Heh, its no worry at all. But I'm still taking you up on that offer for my own prize."[break][break]

Noel welcomed the challenge. He wasn't going to play the game anyway by himself, he needed someone there with him for him to get that feeling of rivalry going. He would have asked just any stranger out in the carnival to compete with him but most probably would be bothered by his suddenness and turn him away. He was glad someone came up to him even if by chance.[break][break]

"Hmph you're on. Don't think just because I met you I'll go easy on you."[break][break]

This time Noel would focus on his throws instead of hastily tossing them ahead as he had done previously. He did much better than before, this time being able to land 2 rings onto the Dugtrio, he was able to pick a prize this time and with a bit of consideration chooses a Zigzagoon plush from the wall. A trophy for his performance. He turns around to see how his new friend was doing.

"I am, I've just been killing time before I set out and do something tonight but I'm getting way too bored now. You wouldn't happen to know where this Dugtrio-Ring-Toss Game is do you?"[break][break]

Noel had lost track of the game he played previously just a few hours ago. He thought it would be best to get some practice in so that next time he plays he would be sure to succeed against his friend. His competitive spirit was almost too much as he couldn't let go of a loss no matter how small it was.[break][break]

"I've played it before but I can't seem to find it again... And this place is like a maze and I'm not the best with directions."[break][break]

Noel had just finished sending off a good friend of his and was now alone at the carnival, he had planned to head back home but there was still one more thing he had to get done before the night finished. Eating a cotton candy that he had acquired before he suddenly feels his back getting pushed forcefully, whether by accident or on purpose he did not know. He turns around to see what he assumed to be a younger looking boy apologizing to him for the mishap.[break][break]

"Hmmm? Oh its nothing don't worry about it. But you and your friends should be more careful."[break][break]

He had heard the stranger speaking previously and assumed they were with their friends but when he got a good look at his surroundings he noticed it was just the two of them in the area. Noel, confused by this, asked the newly met boy a question.[break][break]

Err... Wait sorry, I thought I heard you talking to someone else."[break][break]
