"If you find yourself going to the Ultra Deep Sea, feel free to give me a call. I have my own interest in the Interdream for my own reasons, but I'm happy to help support your projects while I go about it." It was always good to build up your own base of power within Rocket too, but that doesn't need to be said out loud. For now they were just two "friends" working on related projects. That's all.

Xenon nods her head, the Iron Serpent of the future. "Yeah. You've noticed right?" She stares deep into the chasm where that cry came from, into the depths where Area Zero lies. That crystalline cavern of shining lights and glimmering stones, suffused with so much Infinity Energy and Interdream... she could see her future there.

"Area Zero. It looks just like what I saw in the simulation. Not exactly the same as I remember, but I can feel it in there somewhere... But that's not what I was referring to. I meant the city in the Violet Book, that neon soaked future with all the Genesect." The tension in the air rises as her gaze moves forward further, no longer looking at Area Zero, no, looking somewhere even farther ahead that only she could see.

Hammer meets hammer as the heavy handed Chromium trades blows with the toxic chained Tinkaton, yet another escapee from Area Zero affected by the poisonous phenomenon. But this little creature only had one hammer to swing, no matter how fast it might be it simply couldn't compare to the four steel arms that the Metagross was sporting as it smashes the gremlin into a bloody mess. Xenon lets out a sigh of exhaustion as she collapses next to an inert Tera Crystal, checking her wrist mounted PC and marking another Tinkaton down. The entire organization was working themselves to the bone trying to keep this toxic phenomenon under control, she was on her last legs and it seemed like this wasn't slowing down in the slightest, she couldn't be everywhere at once. "What a damn mess. Whoever is doing this, they're doing a fine fucking job running us around in circles. Need to find the source..."

The words Shred speaks. That conviction, that deep rooted belief, the true hatred for everything this system upholds. There's a spark in Xenon's eyes as the casual demeanor she holds leaks away, leaning in a bit closer as she listens to his impassioned speech. The firebrand that raged so hard against the League so long ago had burned out, but the spark still remains deep within as he makes his case to the woman before him.

"Yeah... a rotting dead tree. I like that analogy, it's old and big and everyone respects it because its the only thing they've ever known. Can't imagine a world without the putrid bark shielding them from the sun, even if the rot is eating them alive just to support itself." She had seen it too, she had lived that life, chained tight to the rotting trunk by gardeners who worshiped that gods damned tree.

"You're a lot smarter than you look when you're not moping around Zeppelin. It might sound like meaningless pleasantries, but I'm of the same mind you are. The foundation is rotting and falling apart, it can't handle the stresses that the world throws at it as everything goes mad. Gods are real and hate us, we're the lynchpin of some sort of multiversal conspiracy and some shadow government wants to kill the whole world, yet still those idiots in the League can't help but focus on this dumb little faction conflict, trying to hold their spots as top dogs. It's a rotting tree, something that needs to be burned to the root."

Xenon shakes her head in the negative to Eris's question, there was still no published studies as to exactly how Tera Crystals work, whether they drew power from the people around them or the earth itself was a matter for debate. What Xenon definitely knew though was that they couldn't produce Paradox Pokemon infinitely, if they could then it would have been a problem way beforehand when the Tera Crystals first started popping up all over Hoenn.

"Efficiency is good, crowd control and forming up good front lines is key to maintaining position in any war, whether it's with people or Pokemon. Looks like you've got this position covered, counting on you to keep up the good work kid~" The Rocket scientist pats Eris on the head and ruffles her hair a little, before putting her hand to her lips and letting out a sharp whistle towards her Iron Swords. The robotic guardians immediately hop back as Eris's Volcanion creates a plume of volcanic lava below the group they were just fighting, retreating to Xenon's side as she grabs onto Phosphorus's side and saddles up in one smooth motion. "We're on the last wave now kid, promise! All we gotta do is hold these guys off and we're in the clear, my calculations promise it!" And with that she rides off towards another spot on the front lines, leaving Eris to hold off the last stragglers and to ponder a bit more on just what the differences were between Rocket and League.

Wicked winds whip against flesh with withering woe, Xenon's tailcoat flaps in the storm violently as she observes the Latias from below. She of course does not know it as such, she can only observe the legendary she doesn't know the name of and note its violent actions as the toxic chains on its body constrict painfully. But that's not what interests her. What's far more interesting to her are the side effects of its thrashing and flailing, slight chips of poison chain flaking off into the river below and floating downstream where waiting Feebas feed on the poisonous substance with eager mouths.

"What am I after?" What a curious question, how she could wax poetic on her goals for the future and the toppling of the old order, her desire for a world of equal opportunity for all, the dismantling of society to rebuild anew. But well, maybe it would be easier to talk about the immediate future. "I think what I want most right now is to step on the people who want to get in my way. Whether that's League idiots who are trying to monopolize Area Zero, DRK Triad lackeys trying to crush the universe or some trite shit, maybe something in between. It doesn't really matter, they need to be gone either way."

And so the battle begins with a bang as Kazuya roughly grabs her by the arm and pulls her down to the dirt, a bolt of lightning zipping through the air where their bodies once were and the Iron Swords howling in unison as they charge forwards. "Well would you look at that, they picked up something other than an Unown for once. Old dogs learning new tricks indeed." Xenon jokes to herself as she surveys the situation. DRK Triad members sniping at them from the hill, attention temporarily taken up by the Paradox Pokemon now charging towards them. They'd be able to operate without orders for a few minutes, they were newly caught so they hadn't had battle tactics drilled into them like she wanted quite yet, but their instincts would serve them well enough. That left Xenon and Kazuya a few minutes to find a better position.

"Alright funny man, here's the plan. Circle around them and flank them from the side, then we crush them from two sides at once, my Iron Swords at the front, whatever you've got other side. If you've got any objections, you can voice them while we run." With that the Ultramodernist pushes herself up from the dirt and starts sprinting to the right, heading for a patch of rocks to break line of sight and work on circling the DRK camp as planned.

Poison, poison, poison poison poison. Poison was the name of the game this month as all over the region various toxins and venoms bloom into being, all related to the mysterious toxic chain phenomena and these mysterious poisonous mochi balls that were also found at the scenes of these incidents.

But things are going butter smooth for Xenon as she scoops up a vial of poisonous spores from a nearby Dustox, a biohazard protection mask wrapped firmly around her head as she continues gathering samples to send back to the lab. She personally had very little interest in the whole phenomenon, but every scientist needed to be hands on board for this crisis even if she'd rather be at Area Zero, so her experiments would have to be put on hold for the time being. At the very least she could consider this an easy assignment, all she needed to do was gather samples for more specialized people to look into.

Everyone else here who had arrived could more than handle the rampant Venusaurs who had Dynamaxed, already the colossal kaiju were flagging as teams of flying types cut apart thick vines with their air cutters and blowing away poison clouds with great gusts of wind. What Xenon was here to study was the cause of all these rampages across the region, something was behind all these incidents and it wasn't Team Rocket for once as much as she wished she could claim it was her.

No, instead she crouches down in the dirt with a makeshift mask pulled up over her mouth and nose to observe. They were difficult to spot amidst the wreckage and chaos that these Dynamaxed Pokemon had caused, but the perpetrator had failed to erase their tracks completely. Foreign Pokemon tracks, but no human tracks curiously enough. A Legendary's work perhaps? Or is someone trying to pull a fast one on her by using a Pokemon as an intermediary...

"Alright everyone, line up nice and orderly, please vomit up blood to the side if you need to, I'll get to you soon enough!" Xenon calls out as Manganese's eyebrow twitches with annoyance, the raw suffering and emotional distress in the air was more than a little aggravating to the overtuned psychic as she releases another Healing Pulse upon a poisoned woman in front of her.

"No time for thanks, gratitude, rewards, keep the line moving! I'm trying to write a report, I am one hundred percent not listening to any long speeches!" The scientist yells as she stares at her report paper, waving the confused lady along and waiting for the next poisoned specimen to come along.

What legendaries had she faced? Good question, she kind of lost track after the third. "Uh, ones worth remembering right now? Probably Kyogre, Chien-Pao, annnnnnnd... I think I fought an Articuno? But it was also like, not Articuno at the same time. I couldn't really say what it was, not my field of study, I dislike legends and history." Even talking about recent history like that left a bad taste in her mouth, made her rather glad that a swarm of agitated Paradox Pokemon was arriving to change the subject.

The Iron Swords were quick to form up as the first wave of wild Pokemon crashes into their vanguard, coordinated Sacred Swords cut down an Iron Jugulis and the Brute Bonnets following in its wake, while the Gengar in her shadow rips out to fire a Thunderbolt at an Iron Bundle that was slipped past the guard and was approaching the duo from the left. This is just a basic opening though, Xenon hasn't even spoken a word. Instead she calmly observes the flow of battle, picking apart the wild Pokemons' movement before issuing any adjustments to her tactics. "Sulfur, two o'clock adjustment. Earthquake. Phosphorus, adjust to eleven o'clock and angle upwards. Metal Burst." Her assessment is calm and methodical, there's no panic or anxiety in her cadence as she orchestrates a defense without breaking a sweat. The only hitches in this battle were the fact that she didn't know the types of every single Paradox Pokemon approaching them, but she could adjust for unexpected interactions thanks to Ameena's Pokemon picking up the slack.

All the while their sensor was picking up data deep underground, something stirring in the depths of Area Zero that was driving these Pokemon to the surface...

"Really, that's it? You just hate the League so you decided to rise through the ranks of the world's most successful terrorist organization to become a high ranking member in the uppermost echelons. Come on, that's not the full story and we both know it. Something has gotta motivate you in this world besides money, if that was all there was to it you could have easily just coasted by as a Grunt, maybe Executive if you really wanted the spending money." While Xenon's charisma stats might as well be close to nil, her intelligence more than made up for it as she extrapolated the very obvious from this conversation.

"Alright fine, I'll bite on this line of logic. You know I'm the last person to care about someone's past, but I've had a little bit of growth lately. What could the League have done that pissed you off so bad you decided to join a budding dictatorship?"

She almost seems smug as Eris hops down into the swarm next to her, like she won some kind of battle only she knew she was fighting by convincing the young girl to join her fight. "Don't worry so much about the faction sh- stuff. Right now we're just two trainers on the frontier of a new land, stuff like allegiances and borders are meaningless when you're fighting against the tide of nature." She can read the worry in the girl's eyes, she couldn't blame her. Even a maniac like herself could recognize just how bad it was to be seen with a maniac like herself if you were trying to keep prim and proper in polite society.

And the kid was only a kid after all. Xenon could hardly blame her for being worried about the opinions of adults.

"Better is the wrong word to use. Safer probably. Better? No, it wouldn't be better for anybody. Sacred Sword in unison, three two one!" Her attention darts towards her Iron Swords as another wave of Iron Treads approaches, their counterattack is coordinated and smooth as they cut into the rolling tanks and force them back for another trainer to finish. "If everyone here thought like that, then there wouldn't be anyone around to keep these guys from overrunning Area Zero and pouring into the outside world. Even a selfish b- girl like me knows that someone's gotta make the sacrifice to secure the future. Chlorine, charge Solar Blade, Sulfur, keep them at bay with a Rock Tomb!" Once again the horde encroaches, once again the trio work in tandem to hold them off. It's strange watching these mechanical approximations of heroes work as defenders of the natural world, fighting their brethren with the same zeal that their originals hold.

"Besides, the crystals can only produce so much for so long. I've been studying the Terastal Crystals for a few months now, they're not unlimited founts of energy. By my calculations, if we can beat back this wave then we should be good for a day or two." And then she'd do it all over again.
