Her state raises questions, even without words she can read that much from his gaze as he insistently offers his jacket to her to cover up. "Whatever, don't complain if it gets destroyed." Xenon remarks as she takes the windbreaker from his hands and wraps it around herself, sans her prosthetic arm which absolutely couldn't fit through the left sleeve. "Been fighting all week without taking any breaks, no rest for the wicked when you're on the cutting edge frontier of the future." She explains as she finishes applying her potions and poultices to the Iron Swords, bleeding wounds slowly sealing shut as the technorganic creatures process the healing fluids quickly.

DRK Triad then. She had never run into their members personally, so she didn't have any bones in this fight, but they were setting up camp in her territory which was reason enough to piss her off. Predator was a good word to describe her, she was a hunter guarding her woods, an angry Bewear tearing apart the tourists setting up camp in her backyard.

"Why do they need to die?" Xenon's lips quirk up a tad, what an amusing question. She can't help but laugh a bit as she cracks her neck and turns to face the DRK camp in the distance. "You're a funny guy. Man of few words, using those few words to joke around like that. This is a war. People die in wars. Either I kill them or they kill me, couldn't get any simpler. Sure I've got a lot of ideals that don't gel too well with theirs, we can use that as set dressing all we want. But at the end of the day, battlefields are paved with bodies. It's really just that simple."

And with that simple statement she begins walking, one limp sleeve trailing behind her in the wind and Paradox Pokemon following in her wake. "So then, let's get on with the show funny guy."

"That's good. The Ultra Deep Sea is a good study ground, but a will of iron is needed to make sure you aren't lost to its fathoms. But what you'll find... well, I can speak for myself when I say it was lifechanging." It was only in the depths of the ocean that she was able to find the first steps to the future after all.

Hm, she hadn't noticed yet. That's fine, she'd notice soon enough probably. "I can handle myself as a person. The way I fight is different compared to most," She adjusts her prosthetic arm unconsciously, the cool metal of her shoulder clinging against the pommel of the sword on her back. "But it's good to keep people guessing. As a trainer though, I would consider myself the best of the best." As she says this she smiles confidently, letting her natural hand fall upon the Pokeballs on her belt. "If I had decided to be just another trainer then there's no doubt I'd be Elite Four Material. I can go toe to toe with Legendaries and the best the League has to offer without breaking a sweat, I focus on coordinating with multiple Pokemon on the field at once." She motions with her head towards the Iron Swords she had captured, having them all out at once was a very purposeful choice on her part.

The intensity of the vibrations was picking up now, something was approaching. Multiple somethings. Xenon walks up next to Sulfur and looks out in the direction that its looking, a dust cloud was picking up as a crowd of somethings was charging in their direction. "You might want to bring out your best. I think our little study has garnered attention."

Even as her lips curl upwards with his laughter, Xenon's eyes remained steeled and serious as she stares at Cillian waiting for a response. And what he has to say is... about expected. Protocols, routines, meetings, the mundane bureaucracy that plagues society truly can't be escaped even within a criminal terrorist organization. But to protest would do her no favors, so all she can do is shrug and break her gaze as she looks up to the sky.

"That's as much as I can ask for I suppose. I am serious though, mass production of Ultramodern Paradoxes is achievable. I've gone into the universe within the Violet Book, I've seen what the future can hold... my name is written on it." Her smile turns wry, she knows she can achieve production of Paradox Pokemon, because she had already done so in the future. It was a simple bootstrap paradox, she had seen herself do it already, so it was all but guaranteed.

She looks upon the Shadow Lugia circling them from on high with a hint of curiosity, it was probably what Underboss Quinn was most known for throughout Rocket, if not the entire region.

Xenon points at Lulu casually as she speaks, a grunt in the corner opposite of Walsh starts transcribing her words and theories word for word. "It's a good theory, no shame in pointing out the obvious when no one else has. The Interdream has been making some big encroachments on our reality, it's good that we have such talented researchers looking into it now with more on the way. Adding onto that, my theory has always been that the Interdreams is directly pulling from the past and future when it brings us those Paradox Pokemon, so maybe the Chasm is similar."

And then Theo Beckett brings up an even better addendum. "That's a very good line of thought Underboss Beckett. It might be worth studying the Infinity Energy that saturates the area, could be markedly different from our own in some way. Study study study, we've got the resources to pursue lots of lines of thinking, lets throw our weight at this project, I see a lot of potential in this frontier."

On the topic of Hoopa indeed. "This one is probably an area where I'm ill suited to speak. I can probably assume its referring to legendary beasts of some sort, one of the various trios that populate the world. But if you wanted me to hazard a guess as to which one, I'm afraid I couldn't give an answer." Her eyes dart towards Howard as she finishes up, raising an eyebrow curiously. "Though I do know one fossil obsessed bore who might know all about these kinds of things. I'm sure he would have a very good idea what fire earth and water might be referring to."

Xenon smiles wryly at Calpurnia's comment. "Nothing wrong with getting a little messy. And I don't keep calendars, I take life one day at a time. If something is really so unimportant that I need to write it down to remember to do it, then it isn't worth doing at all." She crouches over Declan's body after the fight is over, it was bloody and brutal to extremes she couldn't have imagined, but with the X factor of the Unown and the support of her Ultramodern Paradoxes it was finally done as she rummages around the false prophet's body.

"Hm. Rather anticlimactic, makes me wonder if this was the real Walsh at all. Well, real in the context of this simulation." Wouldn't surprise her, pinning down Declan Walsh was an impossibility even when reality could be pinned down to cold ones and zeroes.

The ultramodernist's head perks up as a mechanical female voice rings out from the sky, her lips quirk as she tosses the man's ID away and sticks her hands in her pockets. "Well well well. A glowing portal of ivory opens at the edge of the dojo, already one could tell that this transport was different compared to the usual stage move that happened in the RKS System, this was something that only they could see.

It's a beautiful specimen and she wishes she had more time to observe it, but there's a time and a place for everything as they say, but not now. Her body is still as she watches the Iron Thorns, hoping against hope that maybe it would just turn right back around and walk away with no interest in them. That hope is shattered as it rears its arm back, her body springs into action as a boulder smashes into the ground where they were standing moments ago, her own arm smoothly flicking a Pokeball onto the battlefield and releasing a Veluza next to Shred's Decidueye.

The sharp finned fish is all business as she quickly assesses the situation, Shred's Decidueye was buying her a moment to set up as she starts to tear into her own flesh, filleting away all the excess and throwing herself into a frenzy as a thin sheen of red covers her eyes. The mechanical monster roars as the brave bird strikes at its shell, electricity sparking in its mouth as it throws its upper body forwards to crunch into the stoic fighter with fangs of lightning.

But Aresenic isn't sitting idle while this happens. After shedding so much of her skin and flesh, the razor sharp blade of its fins snap out with psychic energy, cutting into the metal hide of the beast and attacking its digital mind with a raging Psycho Cutter. "Don't kill it! This is a valuable specimen if I can capture it alive!!!"

A bright flash of light engulfs the duo, the world around them fades to white as they're thrown into the final stage of the Violet Book's simulation. Xenon sighs as she straightens out her coat and brushes the dust from her shoulders, what an annoying reminder of the past. "All too familiar. But that's that and this is this." Hm. She had never really considered if the scars that ruinous thing had left on her had had any lingering effect. But well, she had spent so long in that dream as someone else that the feeling faded. Maybe that hate had started to burn just a little brighter after the sword of ruin took her arm for its prize, she certainly did hate knowing that such a thing was able to take from her. Just like they did.

"Damnit. You're a right bastard Slayte, making me think about the past like that." It was time to look to the encroaching future coming up. The light begins to fade as they reach their final destination, the first thing they see are the dull blue lights of Tera Crystals pulsing in tandem. Like the heartbeat of the earth itself... or perhaps something even greater than that.

What catches her attention is not the reflection beside her. It is the rumbling of an organic engine in her ear, an electric hum from a creature nudging her shoulder with its head. "What-?" Xenon turns quickly as she grabs at the sword at her waist, it got so close so fast, even Argon barely had time to respond as she comes face to face with....

"My god." God. Yes, god was the only word she could use to describe this magnificent dragon facing her. It's curious blue eyes watching to see what she would do, lightning arcing to form wild eyebrows reaching back and up. The thrumming pulse of an engine within its chest, a surging flow of a familiar liquid that would grant power to the children of the future. A voice from above clinically describes the creature as Miraidon, an Iron Serpent with the power to turn the land to ash with its destructive lightning. But it's all meaningless noise for the Ultramodernist looking upon the future she was chasing after.

Visions of poison dancing on the diseased remains of a world are torn in two with a stellar blade of infinite possibility, the mechanical knight crashes into Argon with a spirit breaking strike, sending him staggering back just a step. But the poisonous wave only intensifies in response as the evolved Gengar's eyes flare and he pushes his arms further into the ground, simply holding the Paradox Pokemon off for the moment until his partner can offer an alternative plan.

"You'd deny me a tool just because you're afraid of who made it? All of us? Stop acting like a god damn coward Navidson, you should know better than any that we need weapons to win a war, all you're doing is playing into DRK Triad's hands. The Interdream, the Paradox Pokemon of the future, the Tera Crystals, we need to move to the future if we're going to win a war against entropy itself!"

The stalemate wavers as the poisonous wave of sludge encroaches on Roland further, one could only fight for so long before being overcome by the endless after all. But the question ripping from Navy's lips strikes true, an arrow piercing Xenon's defenses around her heart and exposing a truth she didn't even realize she was hiding. The shock and confusion is enough to dull her Infinity Energy for just a moment, enough for Argon's concentration to break as the Sludge Wave tapers out and he lets out a heavy breath of exhaustion.

"That is... a work in progress, that's all. One has to deal with ignorant fools no matter where one goes, but it's only a matter of time till I get what I deserve. They'll see the value I have to offer." It was a weak justification even to her own ears, she could feel her suppressed anger bubbling under the surface just thinking about the absurdity of what she was saying, half hearted excuses she had to use to stop herself from making rash decisions. "Stop trying to distract me damnit! Argon, Dark Pulse!" She wasn't even using her encoded commands anymore as she focuses up her Infinity Energy once more and throws her partner into battle, a shuddering ray of dark energy blasting towards Roland's legs to try and make it back off.

"Terastalization in the wild... How interesting..." Xenon mutters as she observes the leader of these hooligan monkeys from the trees above, stifling a cough with her elbow as she holds on tight to Argon behind her. These repeated expeditions into the poisonous phenomenon occurring all over the region was having an effect on her health for sure, but regardless she had a job to do in documentation of the event so she could assist in creating a universal antivenom.

"Log Echo 5698. It would be a wise investment for Rocket to put some more money into hazardous material suits as well as SCBAs for wider distribution among our member base. I believe I have been severely poisoned after a number of these excursions and my body is in a great deal of pain." Xenon pauses as she curls the fingers of her right hand, staring curiously at the very dead flesh on her fingertips and frowning. "Log Echo 5699. Universal antitoxins should also be a consideration for production. Rhodium, burn the chaff away."

The iron dragon roars as its triplet heads blow out three gouts of flame into the maze of webs clogging up the cycling road of Route 110, melting several bicycles caught up in the chaos. Those probably belonged to someone, but also Xenon did not particularly care as she tried to get feeling back into her fingertips by smacking her hand against her hip a few times. What mattered very much to her in this moment was killing as many Ariados as she could lay eyes on in as little time as possible so she could get to a Rocket base and do some antivenom research on the samples in her blood.

Is it an antivenom or an antipoison? She hadn't been bit by anything. Well, something to think about later.

Beasts rip and tear through the fabric of space to invade our world, poisonous bugs looking to step on our future to climb to paradise. So it is only natural then that one would fight one beast with another.

"Low Kick, Triple Kick, Stomp." Xenon calmly orders as Nobellium rushes into the frenzy and assaults their brethren with a flurry of kicks, a protector of the weak by pure happenstance as the Ultramodernist investigates Petalburg. The fight is hardly even a concern to her even as Nobellium fights three other Pheromosas at once, a ghostly nightmare whips out from her shadow and slams into one with a Dark Pulse of energy just as its about to get the jump on them.

What Xenon instead focuses on is the curious Bronze Feather she had found on the ground. "You're not the one that that girl faced in Galar... but you're similar." She remarks as she touches her tongue to the plume and frowns. Similar... but unfamiliar.

She's fighting them off as best as she can, but she's running out of time and options. Infinity Energy begins to gather in her hand as she considers Mega Evolving Argon, but the kind of power she'd be throwing around then would be too much to restrain just to the Paradoxes, she'd be attacking everyone. Whittling down her own forces was just as bad as being overrun, the thought of retreat crosses her mind-

And then a hero comes to save the day.

Xenon's head swivels towards the Luxray and the trainer who had sent it out, a familiar young girl looks down on her with worry in her eyes, the Ultramodernist grins as she snaps her fingers and recalls Argon back into her shadow. "Well well, took you long enough girl! Thanks for the save, hope you plan on sticking around!" She calls out as the Iron Swords finally finish off their wave of Paradoxes, quickly rushing back to Xenon's side and surrounding her in a quick and dirty triangle formation.

Her eyes break from Eris's and her grin quickly fades, a sharp whistle escapes her mouth and a burst of Psyshock energy escapes from Phosphorus's horn and blows apart an Iron Hands that was jumping for Eris's back now that her Luxray wasn't as close anymore. "And that makes us even already! I'd suggest you get down here, you're an easy target when you're by yourself up there!"

Maybe it was a bit out of character for Xenon to go out of her way to help other people, maybe it was strange for such a selfish girl to suddenly take such a selfless turn. Being consistently inconsistent was something Xenon enjoyed though, keeping people on their toes regarding what she would do next. And hey, it never hurt to have just a little bit of good press even when you're a terrorist.

Besides, what she was doing today hardly even required any effort, it was just a matter of waiting patiently outside of Mauville City, waiting for some rampant Revaroom to try and zoom on out of here to cause trouble across the region. Her job was simple, if she spotted any out of control cars trying to make their way out of the city, she stopped them with one smooth movement.

The distant hum of an engine fast approaches, Xenon sighs and cracks her neck as she hefts the roll of steel in her arms and gets ready. It was a smooth rolling motion, she throws it up and out of her arms across the highway, the strip of spikes and prongs unfurls pointed upwards for whomsoever might come. A pack of three Revaroom zooms past her, rubber meets sharpened steel and explodes in a burst of depressurizing air, each Pokemon skids out of control and flips over onto the highway in a symphony of screeching metal and shattering glass.

All in a day's work. Now to gather the spike strips up and get ready for the next.
