Like , Frank had taken up golfing for business reasons. There had been no better way to endear himself to Black City's elite than rounds on the green, and as a result, Frank had become somewhat proficient at the sport.[break][break]

He also associated it with class and wealth, so to be invited to a golf course again after his recent troubles felt like a success.[break][break]

"Everything's looking promising this year," he told his companion, taking his turn to select a golf club from the bag. "Clients are scrambling to correct their mistakes, and many of the referrals from POG Bank are referring others to me, too."[break][break]

Once he'd made his selection, he joined Martín at the tee. Since the younger man had scored better at the last hole, he would go first. Frank waited his turn with a mild smile.[break][break]

"How about you?" he asked.
