you're flung far from where you were, and skid upon the rainsoaked pavement. spacial energy tears off your armour, and what little remains is dragged off by concrete and velocity. Still, you climb back to your feet. Mere force is not enough to stop you. Cuts and scratches will not slow you down. a fist slams into your makeshift cannon like a hammer. for a split second, it burns unfathomably bright, before it explodes from the inside out. your arm is forced back by the sheer recoil, and a payload of mixed fragmentation and burning fire launches towards your hated enemy.[break][break]

for you, this battle is intensely personal. but for the winged king? it's nothing but another hunt of greater prey. as the god of space is still reeling from the successful z-move, it wastes no time in capitalising on the momentary weakness. with a flap of its wings, it dives forward, aiming to slice the divinity's neck with all four of its dragon claws.[break][break]

Shred has the ability to "shift" into "paradox versions" of himself, born from alternate histories and timelines that never were. this allows him to change his physical appearance and build, allowing him to alter his fighting style, gain odd armors or weaponms, and "recover" from damage. curiously, usage of this ability may cause parts of his hair to turn white.

however, overuse of this ability can severely harm him.

shred can "hear" and "talk" to Pokemon; however, the mileage of this ability may vary in events.

shred can augment his body with orichalcum to use defensively or offensively; however, when shifting into "paradox versions" of himself, this ability can not be used. the orichalcum can be adorned so that shred may be burlier, stronger, or protected from devastating attacks. when the orichalcum is struck by another or by his own hand, the orichalcum can EXPLODE.

shred can summon ANCIENT SUNLIGHT (SUNNY DAY) or emanate an aura which can empower PAST PARADOX POKEMON around him.

under ANCIENT SUNLIGHT, shred will be able to devolve a Pokemon back to its first evolutionary stage temporarily, before the Pokemon reverts back to its original state.

KORAIDON will be able to track HERBA MYSTICA and consume it (yummier in a sandwich!) to power itself over time.

the winged king ascends high into the air. then, like a meteor descending upon the world, it descends. a DEVASTATING DRAKE crashes toward palkia, though the burning flames of a boundless spirit spread far further than the site of impact, and those unfortunate enough to feel them will find them neither discerning no merciful.[break][break]

"oh, navy. we could've had it all, y'know? we could've lived in shitty apartments and worked dead-end rackets and blew our pay on drinks with the boys..." your voice shifts and your facade falls. as you speak, you raise an arm, and orichalcum begins to bubble. link by link, a chain begins to spool out of the palm of your hands, piling up and overflowing down your fingers. the sheer weight of it is enough that even you, empowered as you are, strain to hold it. "...but you couldn't live with that, could you? you just had to be someone. had to be a good guy. had to be a fucking hero, didn't you? just couldn't betray your precious fucking league! had to keep praying to the great destroyer of hopes and ruiner of lives, thinking that might stop it! IT'S NOT GOING TO STOP, NAVY! IT'S NEVER GOING TO FUCKING STOP! SO... so... so here! since you love your shackles so much, you can fuckin' die in them!"[break][break]

funny. the last time he was drowning, kyogre was there, too. you wonder if he even recognises you, changed as you are...[break][break]

you clench your fist, breaking the brittle layer of skin upon your hand. and then, you throw the mass of upon your once-friend, and watch him sink. then, the facade returns to your face. you look back to the girl and her bull, and point down to the water.[break][break]

"...you're a league member, aren't you? go save him. isn't that the right thing to do? or, would you rather follow your orders and try to kill me? tick tock, little tin soldier! make your choice before the water makes it for you!"[break][break]

all the while, the winged king's attention turns elsewhere. perhaps it's bored of this mundane tangle of human drama? you wouldn't blame it, though you're thankful it's willing to indulge you. instead, it prepares. instead of looking, listening, or even caring, it instead prepares itself for the next leg of the fight, blood pumping and heart pounding to push its agility to next level. golden eyes scan the battlefield, and it doesn't take long for them to find strong prey, worthy of hunting.[break][break]
