"My face is all yours, David" Mateo replied, referencing some dusty old famous artist. "Good. Now sit still." she said as she grabbed a head band to gently push his hair out of his face so she could work. "Don't worry, I'll fix your hair back after I'm done with your face."[break][break]

She said as she quickly began to grab the utensils she would need. "Now," she said as she grabbed a some primer and began to pump some into her hands. "Close your eyes," she ordered as she gently began to massage the product onto his face. "Some basic things to note once you begin shadowing me tonight," she began to discuss their plans for the evening with him briefly while attending to his face.[break][break]

"Number one rule of this place is no touching. If you feel that one of the clients is making uncomfortable advances towards you, tell me immediately and they'll be dealt with. No one working here should be made to feel uncomfortable. We protect our own here, understand? That also means if you notice someone in a difficult position you stand beside your fellow co-host or co-hostess and help them." she said as she lightly patted his face. [break][break]

"Ohana means family, and family means no one's left behind. Remember that." she said with a smile flashed towards him. "Keep your eyes shut, I'm about to put on some bb cream and then a light coat of foundation. I don't want it to get in your eyes." she said softly as she quickly began to work. [break][break]

"Second most important thing to remember is to not get drunk. Clients often want to drink with you and have a good time. We can have on average from 5-10 clients a night, if you drink with all of them you'll be out of commission before the end of your shift." Lani continued her brief lecture as she did his makeup. "Familiarize yourself with specifically marked items on the menu. Different drinks are made for us. Non alcoholic ones, made to look alcoholic. There's different kinds as well so that you're not stuck ordering the same thing and drawing suspicion to yourself." she said with a soft chuckle, "Oh and you'll have to act accordingly. You'll see what I mean once I'm out there on the floor tonight."

It would appear the two women were on the same wavelength, since Jasmine echoed how Lani was feeling before quickly leading her to her apartment. Lani obediently followed behind the woman, all the while trying to reign in her urges to pull the cute brunette back into her arms. But Lani could wait, she was good at waiting, at least for a little while. [break][break]

They reached Jasmine's place in no time, thank Arceus. Lani had barely shut the door behind herself before Jasmine was already dragging her to her bedroom. She didn't get the chance to really take a look around the condo but she could tell Jasmine was making do with what she had. Jazz, quickly flicked on the string of twinkle lights she had hanging in her bedroom before she reached for Lani.[break][break]

"Lani," she cooed in her ears before bringing her lips to her own. Leilani's head immediately started reeling once their lips touched. It took her a second before her brain finally registered that she could do what she wanted. With that Lani placed a hand on the back of Jasmine's neck to support her as she deepened the kiss, desiring nothing more than to taste every inch of her.[break][break]

And oh, how sweet she was. Leilani now began to gently nudge her back towards her bed that she had spied earlier, her other free hand taking the time to feel along her thigh before grabbing it and hooking one leg of Jasmine's around her waist. Lani was greedy, she could feel the urge welling up within her to rip apart Jasmine's ensemble to give her access to the treat she desired but she held herself back. She wasn't quite used to feeling like this so all of these feelings were foreign to her. It made her excited to see where things would go. [break][break]

"Jazz...fuck" Lani whispered softly as she moved to kiss along side her jaw before planting warm wet kisses on her neck, gently sucking on the sensitive skin there.

Their kiss breaks and Leilani finds Magnus staring at her with this specific glint in his eye. Before she could say anything to question it though he spoke up. "You know... woman like you-" Lani nodded as she gently traced patterns on his skin with her nails. "Mhm, go on. A woman like me~" she teased as she waited for him to continue.[break][break]

"-you seem like you were lookin' for a home." That's when Lani pauses. What did that mean? She found herself immediately torn between how she should feel and respond. Part of her felt irritated because, who the fuck just goes and says that? But another part of her was scared. How did he know? Was it that obvious? This was something she felt like was a dark secret of hers. Never had she felt an invasion of privacy like this before. But was this his fault if it was truly that obvious?[break][break]

Next she felt shame. Had she always been walking around looking this pitiful to others. Of course, all she wanted was a place to belong. It was a dream she had since she was young. Especially since her older brother made it a point to let her know she was welcome in their home. And to tell you the truth he had a point. She was just a guest, and invader in their home. She didn't belong there. Her 'real' family had died and she was just a charity case for her father.[break][break]

There was no place left for her. That was the truth she had been desperately trying to run from, especially last night.[break][break]

Magnus once again throws her for a loop by his next statement. "Wanna join my gang? Make a lot of money... love to have you stick around." It was clear by her facial expression that she felt conflicted. What did he mean, 'join his gang'? She couldn't just waltz up in there. It'd be the same thing as when she was adopted by the Reinhardt's. She didn't want to be a guest again. But a part of her was wondering if this time it would be different? After all, the way he talked about his merry band last night, surely he could care for her like he did them too, right?[break][break]

"How about it, princess?" Magnus asks again and Leilani stares back at him. "I..." she paused as she turned her gaze down towards the sheets. She felt the sudden sting in her eyes and covered her face with her hand. This was so embarrassing. How could she be sitting here crying in front of this man like this?[break][break]

"I don't...want to intrude." she lets her insecurities answer. "You guys probably don't need me. I don't...have anything to offer you all."

Getting an 'out of club' request wasn't out of the ordinary for Leilani. In fact, ever since she'd been enjoying mega success at Olympus the orders for outside work had been piling up for her. Nowadays she spent more time serving outside the club than inside. Honestly she missed it, but she'd do all of this for a check, and you would too, if you saw the amount of 0's at the end of it.[break][break]

Cyril Bollorr was the man of the hour today and he had specifically sought after Leilani for today's festivities. He even paid extra so that she could be his personal arm candy for the day before whispering the sweet nothings of a potential bonus payment for her if she managed to 'wow' his guests.[break][break]

Bands will make her dance. And that's exactly what Leilani planned to do. She grabbed a few of her girls that weren't busy from Olympus and they were off to Bollorr's Yacht for the summer party of a lifetime. Normally she would've wanted more time to prepare for something for her client but he had come to her last minute. But based on his expectations for the evening Lani knew what he really wanted, a performance.[break][break]

Leilani decided to tap into her culture for the evening and prepared to bring the spirit of the lūʻau to this yacht. But that was all for the evening performance which still was a while off. For now, she got to enjoy the festivities on this expensive boat and have some free time to herself before she needed to be back on Bollorr's arm. [break][break]

The music was thumping and was nice. It was easy to swing your hips to. Meanwhile she was contemplating a dip in the pool. Hoenn was ridiculously hot as of late. Normally Lani was used to high temperatures but this was no joke. Record breaking summer heat was not something to play with. So instead she was sipping on an piña colada while staring into the depths of the pool that had been fashioned into this yacht. Her Marill, on the other hand, seemed to be having the loveliest of times without her playing in the water. But what was new? She loved the water, especially on scorching days like this. "Hi, would you be against having company?" a sudden raspy voice beside her pulled Leilani from her contemplation as she turned to face her visitor. He raised his glass in greeting with a charming smile fastened to his lips. A quick glance over and he managed to have Leilani's full attention, after all he was hot. "I don't mean to intrude, but I saw you standing here and wanted to say hello. I'm Callan."[break][break]

"Not at all. Make yourself comfortable," Lani's sanguine hues twinkled as the corners of her mouth pulled up into a smile of her own. "Right, you're the hottie rocker boy that just took the stage right?" Lani said with a soft chuckle. "You were great up there. I don't know how you could perform in such heat though." she said as she stirred her drink with her straw. "Oh, and I'm Leilani, but you can call me Lani if you want."

He wouldn't be Magnus if he wasn't searching for an opportunity to touch her. One would think that he would've grown accustom to her body by now. After all they had frequented the sheets with one another for years at this point. But something clearly kept him coming back for more, not that Leilani was really surprised. [break][break]

She didn't flinch when Magnus went to cop a feel, instead she swatted at his chest with a soft smile. "Behave." was all she would warn him with. They weren't in a club or at the base, this was a formal event and a potential romping ground to pull more clients to Olympus. She wouldn't have Magnus messing that up for her, even if he was her boss.[break][break]

While they walked around, waiters with trays of champagne danced by and Lani secured two flutes for herself and Magnus. As expected of herself, the shiny slot machines caught her attention. She didn't want to spend too long on them since there was plenty to explore so she nodded to Magnus to show her intention. While she was trying her luck a familiar voice caught her attention and took her by surprise. "Laaani! Maggie! You fuckers, why didn't you say something about coming here? We could've ridden together!" Lani's sanguine orbs narrowed on the man on Jasmine's arm. She hadn't seen him before but she got the tiniest feeling of jealousy just seeing how close the two of them were. [break][break]

Her eyes widened as they snapped to her own date for the evening. Magnus was never good with sharing. It was why she kept her private life out of view from him. They were similar in more ways than one. But this situation would only prove to make things complicated if Magnus couldn't control himself here. "Sorry, baby. Didn't mean to leave ya' behind." He says with a forced smile while he glances at Lani. Lani's controlled expression was enough for Magnus to get the hint she was sure. After all, he was controlling himself quite well. "He's right. I thought you said you were busy this evening. If I'd known you would be here I would've insisted a bit more." she said as she glanced towards her date. Her gaze sharp before softening on Jasmine. Shortly after, their little talk was interrupted by the announcement of dinner. [break][break]

"How about we go grab some seats together, hmm?" she asked as she snaked her arm around Jasmine before flashing a grin to her date. "I'll be stealing her for a moment, I hope you don't mind." not that she'd be giving him any room to protest in the first place. She lead her little merry band up the grand staircase towards the dining hall that was decked out in glittering crystals and tableware. [break][break]

As they were lead to an empty table they were handed menus for the evening and Lani had a quick glance over. This spread reminded her of the fancy dinners she would often go on with her father for their little daddy-daughter dates growing up. She could certainly smell the expense from here. She'd be sure to enjoy herself nonetheless. "I'll have the ziti pasta and Caprese salad" she said softly as she snapped her menu shut. "Oh and more champagne please." she quickly added before turning to Jasmine. [break][break]

Her voice was hushed so Magnus wouldn't overhear. "You know he might kill him right? What were you thinking?" she hissed softly even though her expression never changed from a pleasant smile. "Or you could've told me and I would've tucked Maggie in bed instead." It was true, as much as she loved Magnus she would've picked Jasmine as her date in a heartbeat. [break][break]

Lani's connection with Jazz was different. Of course they had their own share of intimate trysts but Jazz was also Lani's best friend who worked alongside her at Olympus. They could've conquered this entire casino if they had planned properly and worked together. Now Lani would be stuck babysitting she was sure. [break][break]

Soon the lights began to dim as their attention shifted to the stage. The dancers came out and began their enchanting performance before Magnus' whisper caught her attention. "You know, they dance really good... bet you both could leave them in the dust." Lani's ruby pools shifted to Jasmine's emerald ones. "Oh that's not even a question." Lani chuckled softly as she brought her hand to her mouth. "In fact, I'm getting an awful lot of inspiration for an event at Olympus, what do you say babe?" "Aw, you waited for me," the sing song voice from the girl of her dreams appeared from behind her just as jasmine slipped her arms around her to alert her of her presence. "Of course," Lani replied before chuckling as she caught Jasmine greedily sneaking in a feel. Lani couldn't blame her though, she would've done the same thing. Still, it was cute.[break][break]

Jasmine made her way around her before slipping the cigarette from Lani's lips to take a hit herself. Lani's crimson pools lingered on the way her lips shaped around the bud and she found herself wondering how she'd taste. Momentarily distracted, Jazzy caught her off guard as she blew a puff of smoke into the air before turning and grabbing hold of Lani's chin and pulling her in close. [break][break]

"Mine or yours?" she purred and Lani grinned as she found her hands slipping to Jasmine's hips. Her touch was light but she applied the slightest pressure as she hungrily anticipated their night going forward. "Whichever's closest." Lani murmured as she leaned close to Jasmine's ear, her lips gently brushing against her neck.[break][break]

"Either way, lets find someplace," she whispered between light kisses on her neck, "I'm not sure I can wait much longer." it was true, with the liquor mixed in her system and waiting for Jasmine's shift to be over, she was reaching the end of her rope. Lani had expected good things, but she hadn't expected him to be that good. Lani usually had fun when she spent time with people but she'd never met someone that could actually keep up with her. There was always some part of her that was left wanting after night spent with someone. She'd just assumed that was normal.[break][break]

But apparently not.[break][break]

Magnus had thoroughly surprised her and so she just couldn't keep her hands off him for the rest of the night. She might have gotten a litte carried away as they were now completely tuckered out. The soft light signifying a new day was beginning to peak through the cracks on the horizon.[break][break]

She was snuggled close to Magnus, her body softly aching from their night long activities. Her skin was peppered with hickeys all over while Magnus was adorned with scratch marks, all telltale signs that they had enjoyed themselves last night. Hell, even Lani's voice felt hoarse now from their little escapades. [break][break]

"Arceus, baby. I'll be shooting blanks tomorrow." Magnus replied as he gently slapped her ass which made her giggle. How had Leilani managed to find her way inside one of Mossdeep's most exclusive night clubs you might ask? Simple, her name. Being the daughter of Unova's champion carried weight, even in another region. Anyone would be able to recognize her pockets were at least lined well even if they might not have picked up on who she was. Besides, she'd been thoroughly prepared regardless. Just in case her reputation wasn't enough, being on the arm of a charming fellow with easy access into the club would secure her entry at least.[break][break]

She'd entertained her 'date' for a while in one of the VIP sections before he ended up getting lost in the bottom of his glass. Besides he wouldn't miss her too much, other girls were there keeping him company. Compared to what she experienced regularly back at her own club in Mauvile, entertaining him had been a joke.[break][break]

Now that Leilani was free to enjoy herself she was eager to get this night started for herself. Sanguine orbs quickly scanned the area around her searching for something that might pique her interest first. That's when she saw him, a gentleman who looked clearly out of place. A quick glance told her he had a sense of style based on the clothes he was wearing and while he might stick out like a sore thumb on the dance floor, his looks were good enough for those around him to be stealing glances. Besides, she couldn't quite put her finger on it but...she felt like she'd seen him somewhere before...[break][break]

Oh well, she wouldn't dwell on that for too long. A mischievous smirk formed on her lips as she adjusted her clothes once more before heading to the mass of gyrating bodies on the floor. Today there was a festival going down in Mauvile. Usually festivals weren't a common occurrence here but after all the life-threatening events that had been wracking the region as of late, Lani supposed they wanted a distraction. Not that Lani minded at all. In fact, this presented a cool way to past the time before her shift at Olympus. [break][break]

A food and wine festival, that's what it had been advertised as. She assumed since this area would be getting more traffic due to the festival, Olympus would get busier once the opened their doors for the evening. However the smell of something delicious quickly caught her attention. She soon found herself in front of a food stand selling takoyaki. [break][break]

Her stomach lightly growled reminding her how she had skipped lunch today. She quickly ordered a small batch when the sudden appearance of someone close behind her startled her. "Hey Lan," he spoke in greeting after causing Lani to nearly jump out of her skin. Whipping around to face him she found herself looking at Oz from the gang. Their very own little fight club champion. "Arceus, babe, you scared the shit out of me." Lani said with a hand placed over her chest. [break][break]

The woman handed her a container of steaming takoyaki and a pair of toothpicks for her to use as utensils to pick the doughballs up. "Oh that looks good, damn. Get me one?" Oz said as she pressed closer to her. "No need, I have enough to share." she said as she poked one of the takoyaki balls with the toothpick. She gently blew on it as it was still hot. "Say 'ah'," she said as she brought the food close to his lips. "Careful though, it's still hot."

Soft humming escaped the puckered lips of Olympus' creator and greatest 'goddess'. Leilani was in the mirror applying the finishing touches to her makeup, after all, she'd be hitting the floor soon. As one of the hostess who's client rate was top of leaderboard worthy, Lani took pride in her work. [break][break]

Meaning, she also took pride in the things that allowed her to enjoy such fame, like her appearances. But today wasn't about her, rather having a special eye for beauty, Leilani had managed to come across a little diamond in the rough. Never one to miss an opportunity she practically scooped this gem up herself and plopped him right into Orthrus' lap.[break][break]

A few bats from her eyelashes at Jack Magnus and her new toy was implemented into Orthrus seamlessly. "How do I look?" the voice from her newest project caught Leilani's attention and she paused applying blush to her cheeks and turned around to look at him. She watched as he did a twirl for her before striking an adorable pose. But...it came across slightly awkward but she could fix that. [break][break]

A soft gasp escaped Lani's lips as sanguine orbs shimmered as she stared at Mateo. "Aww, baby you look gorgeous!" she exclaimed as she quickly closed the distance between the two. Her hands instinctively reached up to cup his adorable cheeks. Mateo chuckled a little as he brushed his hand through his hair. "Do you think I should comb my hair back?" he asked. [break][break]

"What? And look like some stuffy, big-wig politician? I don't think so." Lani snorted before reaching up to fluff and style his hair herself. "No, the style nowadays..." she said as she used her nails to gently comb through an part his hair, "...is something more like this." she said as she stepped aside and gestured towards the mirror. "More of an 'idol' look." she said with a smile.[break][break]

Lani took a step back to properly assess him now rather than cooing over him like she did before. "In fact, here's your first lesson Mateo." she said after a moment before walking back to him and reaching for the collar of his shirt, undoing the first few buttons. "At Olympus we're gods and goddesses." she said softly as she continued to work on adjusting his clothes. "So there's no need to stress over perfection, for gods and goddesses, are already perfect." she said with a smile as she stepped aside to look at him again.[break][break]

Now instead of looking like a freshly cut rose, nervous and way in over his head, his appearance gave something more relaxed. Seasoned and mature. His chest was slightly exposed, accentuating his neckline. A sensual touch without being indecent. "After all, who would dare to tell us otherwise?" she added with a chuckle. "No need to be nervous tonight. You'll be shadowing me. I'll show you how things are done, you just focus on paying attention and enjoying yourself."[break][break]

She gestured to where she'd been doing her makeup. "Now, sit so I can do your makeup." she said excitedly. It was almost like she was playing dress up with a doll. Clearly this had been what she'd been looking forward to most this evening. "Don't worry, you're in good hands. You can trust me." she said with a light squeeze of his hand.

Fake It Until You Bake It [M]

Lani watched Marshall nervously as he tasted the batter again. But she sighed in relief once he said it was better. At the mention of pans Lani looked around. "Ah right...now where did I put them?" she muttered to herself as she began to quickly search around the kitchen. Minutes later pans were strewn all across the kitchen countertops and floors before she found what she figured would be satisfactory. [break][break]

"Two round pans!" she huffed triumphantly. "Go ahead and dump them in there and pop 'em in the oven." She said as she stared at the mess around them. "I uh...guess I'll start cleaning." she said with a groan before heading over to fix her mess. While she quickly worked on cleaning up the space they worked on the cakes went in the oven. [break][break]

Time passed and Lani had finished cleaning and was chatting the time away with Marshall. She had no care in the world. At least until she smelled something funny. "You smell that?" she asked before she jumped out of her seat. "The fucking cakes!" she shouted as she ran to the oven and yanked it open. A puff of smoke billowed in her face causing her to cough. [break][break]

She quickly grabbed the oven mittens and took them out of the oven. They looked like they had seen better days. Lani had forgotten about setting a timer while she was cleaning and then got carried away talking with Marshall. Lani looked completely heartbroken as she stared at the cakes. [break][break]

"M-maybe we can let it cool and cut off the burnt parts?" she asked as she turned to look at Marshall. Leilani's usually confident gaze as now clearly shaken and it almost looked like she was going to cry. She was so sure that these would turn out great. She could've give this to the boss and Abner. [break][break]

One the cakes had cooled down enough she attempted to shave off the burnt bits to salvage the cake. Luckily for them it was mostly the outside that was burnt the inside was still soft. The rest of the process went pretty smooth too. They both used the frosting that she had bought and coated the cake and decorated it. When they were finished it looked nothing like the picture. In fact, it looked pretty sad but they'd worked hard.[break][break]

"I feel like....we should taste it." Lani said with her hands on her hip, her forehead creased in a frown. After the whole battle they went through to get to the finish line, Lani didn't trust the final product. Too much shit happened before they got here.
