It had been a few days since Anahel's first mission with Zev. She didn't know much about the man. He wasn't the type to show his hand, nor was he easy to read... But, despite this, a sense of admiration was imprinted onto the girl. They were nothing like the other men she met in her life thus far.[break][break]
The two agreed to meet again back at Sootopolis before continuing their conversation regarding Avatars. Anahel had many questions after witnessing Zev showcase his powers.[break][break]
A shooting range seemed like a fitting place for them to randevu. Anahel, while making great progress in her skills, still had a long way to go before she was truly proficient, and Zev already seemed to have mastered the art. There was much to learn from him.[break][break]
Anahel wore a jacket that hung over a pair of short tights. The jacket was obviously a bit too big for her, but this was a common issue for someone of her frame.[break][break]
Grabbing the gun from the holster strapped to her thigh, the girl aimed down, preparing to take her first few shots while waiting for Zev to arrive.

Zev chose not to answer Anahel's question right away. Instead he directed her to a first aid kit so she tend to her wound. Anahel nodded and made her way to the kitchen.[break][break]
Cleaning her wound, she thought about what she just witnessed. That man becomes more and more of a mystery by the second. Just what have those cold eyes seen for him to have become what he is today.[break][break]
Just as she finished, Zev returned with a question of his own.[break][break]
"Avatars...?"[break][break]
Anahel wasn't told much about anything since joining Rocket. Most disregarded her due to dainty appearance. She could only assume they didn't expect her to last long enough for it to be worth it.

Anahel was surprised Zev praised her. Her face didn't show it, but it felt good being complimented by him. Was it because she respected him? Admired him? She barely knew him and didn't consider him someone she could trust just yet, but his cold, straight to the point attitude was something she appreciated. He was good at his job, and wasn't the type to make silly mistakes.[break][break]
The answer to the girl's question regarding the hole in his shirt only confused her further. Heard what? He can't die? If it had been anyone else saying such things she would've written the statement off as a joke. But the proof was right there, dark crystals began to grow over his hand.[break][break]
There was no easy way to respond to such a display. She had never seen anything like that in her life.[break][break]
"What do y–" Her question was interrupted by her shoulder wound.

The adrenaline from the fight had worn off and the pain began to seep in. It may have been deeper than she initially thought. "Must be nice..." She said with a wince on her face, pointing out the contrast between her condition and his.

"What exactly do you mean? How did you obtain such a power?"

After catching the Glaceon, Anahel continued on. The peaceful walk with Froslass has now been ruined by this blubbering bum following her. They indeed looked freezing, but that was not her problem. How could you be so dumb as to wear beach clothes to this icy wasteland.[break][break]
The man persistently kept trying to engage in conversation, apologizing for being too forward. She maintained silence, until he brought up her socks again.[break][break]
"Pervert," she muttered under her breath. Was this man just idiot or did he have other things in mind by following her.[break][break]
Froslass could be be heard making a ruckus yet again. Anahel stopped and turned to see her picking a fight with an Avalugg. It seemed Froslass was in one of those moods today. The girl wondered if Froslass was just as annoyed as she was.[break][break]
Anahel's partner used crunch once again, before throwing a pokèball at the Avalugg. It wouldn't hurt to build up her reserve of pokèmon.

A clean shot. The officer's body went limp as a small pool of blood formed around his soon to be cold body. Kirlia's grip of Loudred was broken, but the situation was quickly salvaged by Zev's Starmie and Ariados. Their coordination was impressive. It reflected highly of Zev's ability to train and command his pokèmon.[break][break]
Anahel exhaled, now able to lower her gun. Her wound trickled down some blood, but it was nothing concerning.[break][break]
It was then when she noticed a bullet sized hole in Zev's shirt. Thinking back, there was four gunshots... two from Anahel, one from the officer she killed...[break][break]
Zev went over what they were going to do with the police pokèmon, before giving her that cold look again.[break][break]
"After I joined Rocket... It's only natural I'd learn. I'm not the strongest physically, and my appearance seems to give people the notion that I'm not capable," she replied to Zev's question while returning the gun to the holster hiding under her clothes.[break][break]
She turned her head back to the man, giving her own icy stare, That hole in your shirt... were you shot? I don't see any blood.

Wartortle jumped in front of the bullet, just barely saving the officer's life. Kirlia was taken aback from the Loudred's attack, but quickly shook it off and countered with Psychic. She lifted Loudred up and began crushing their body with the force of her mind. [break][break]

Surskit, hearing the commotion began to make its way down stairs to investigate.[break][break]

The kneeling officer came to their senses only to hear the cries of the police pokèmon. He shuffled for his own gun and aimed down at Anahel, attempting to fire. [break][break]
The girl kicked the box she was hiding behind at the officer, barely throwing off his aim enough for the bullet to graze her shoulder. [break][break]
She retaliated back with a shot of her own, confident that the kneeling man had nothing left to escape this one.

Anahel continued down the path only to stumble upon a snowman. It looked quite haphazardly crafted. The girl did not hesitate to walk passed it, finding little interest or care for it. [break][break]
This was indeed the right call, because just as she took her first steps beyond, a strange man emerged from the structure. He pleaded for a way to remedy to his impending hypothermia, begging for anything that could give him warmth. " . . . " Anahel stared blankly at the freezing man before continuing onward. She had no desire to partake in the antics of a fool.[break][break]
Just as they were making their escape, Froslass's cry could be heard from behind. "Hm?" A wild Glaceon had started to pester Anahel's partner. Froslass did not hesitate to use Crunch on the frozen dog. The girl followed up by throwing a pokèball at the hurt Glaceon, deciding that they would compliment's her Froslass well.

Froslass, a pokèmon who thrives in ice cold environments, was unfortunately a resident of the tropical climate that is the Hoenn region. They were Anahel's first and most loyal pokèmon, one that deserved the extra effort of being let out in a place where they would be comfortable.[break][break]

The girl dressed appropriately for the area they were in, wearing a coat, a scarf, and pair of boots that left a sparse trail of footsteps behind her. She looked to her froslass as they contently floated around the icy wasteland. A small smile formed on Ana's face. It was rare to see the girl show such an emotion, as it was only brought out when around her pokèmon.[break][break]

They continued on, enjoying their silent and isolated walk.

A few moments of silenced passed. Anahel maintained eye contact with the man, wondering what kind of answer he was expecting. Why did she have to justify her self with words? Couldn't she just prove herself with her own actions?

"I want change." Another brief period of silenced followed. "Not for the world, but for myself. I hate life for what it is now... The league failed to do what it was supposed to and I despise them for that. I lost everything... Rocket... I'm not foolish enough to believe that Rocket wants a better world, nor do I believe that the world can change. I rather just destroy it and build it anew... So, that is why." Anahel began to clench her fist, becoming more emotional with her words. "I want to ascend higher and higher. Become someone who can do what needs to be done. I do not care what atrocities I may have to commit on this path. I'll be Rocket's obedient little lap dog, and do whatever it is I am told. As long as I obtain the power that I desire, nothing else matters."

The girls words were streamed directly from her heart. She did not expect this guy to truly understand her... no one could. But she hoped relinquishing herself to the mercy of the organization would suffice enough here.

Anahel nodded to the large man before placing herself in the booth. [break][break]Alone in the room, she ran her hand on the knife strapped to her upper thigh, making sure it was ready to draw incase anything were to happened.[break][break]
It didn't take long for someone else to enter the room. She assumed this was the boss the large man referenced. He was dressed very nicely, sporting a suit and a hat. A stark contrast to the girls rugged sandals and jacket.[break][break]
Looking back at him, she turned her head wondering what he was assuming in his head.[break][break]
"I figure it'd be in both of our best interests for me to get straight to the point," she said looking the man straight in his eyes. "I want to join Rocket, I hear you can help me with this."

Anahel directed Surskit to hide up stairs, while Kirlia tucked herself away downstairs. Giving a nod to Zev, the girl hid in the shadows by the back door.

It did not take more than a minute for the silence to be broken. Ana saw a light shine from the window near Zev, another appeared from a window by her. Footsteps could be heard approaching the back side of the building, signaling the young rocket to reach for and ready her gun.[break][break]
Kirlia peaked their head out, across the room from Anahel, before giving a nod that they were ready for a surprise attack.[break][break]
The sound of the footsteps stopped. The room was once again filled with silence, further increasing the tension in the air. Ana quieted her breathing, knowing any moment the cops could–[break][break]
A thunderous crash filled her ears as the back door was kicked down. An officer began to rush into the building, only for Kirlia to appear and use Psychic on the oblivious man. They crumbled to the ground holding their head in pain. Anahel stood and pulled at the trigger at the man, attempting to swiftly take care of the first encounter.
