The prolonged touching started to make the girl uncomfortable, but luckily the Kingdra gave her a good excuse to pull away.[break][break]
It wasn't long after this that another pokèmon appeared. A Jolteon that Sierra seemed eager to catch.[break][break]
Perfect. This was Anahel's chance to make her escape. She began to slowly back away from the battle enthused reporter, before signaling Surskit that it was time to go.[break][break]
Surskit was upset to say good-bye to their new friend.[break][break]
However, the battle was over before it even started. Just as the girl went to turn and make her exit, Sierra finished with the Jolteon and directed their attention back to her.[break][break]
Damn it.[break][break]
Ana jumped back, making an awkward face. "Oh, uhhh. Yeah. I have no idea where he learned to fight like that..." She turned to the bug pokèmon before continuing. "Surskit, don't go jumping into a battle like that again. You scared me."[break][break]
Surskit made an extremely confused head turn at his trainer.[break][break]
"Kingdra? Yeah, but I have no idea when what I'm going to do with them..."[break][break]
Keeping up this weak, and innocent facade was getting tiring...

"Thank you," Anahel said as she looked to Moss's dragon.[break][break]
This guy was gullible enough to handle, but that pokèmon of his seemed to be wary of the girl's words. This was going to be a problem.[break][break]
"Take care of the Altaria," she mentally commanded to the Noivern, who had been circling the air since they arrived.[break][break]
Ana's pokèmon swooped in from above, diving into the back side of the enemy flying type. It was at this moment, the girl drew her gun and attempted to pull the trigger into the back of Moss's head.

"Oh, uhh..." Anahel tried her best at a cheerful tone. "Oh my gosh, thank you!" [break][break]
The girl reached for Sierra, grabbing her hands in a gesture of gratitude. "I don't know what I would've done if you didn't show up." She would have killed it without hesitation. "That Gyarados... It was so scary..." That would have been her dinner tonight. "Thank you, thank you!" She could not believe the words coming out of her mouth.[break][break]
Surskit, who had jumped back on the ground, scurried towards Goomy. They smiled and waved at the tiny slug.[break][break]
"Anahel, Anahel Sune." The girl said in reply to Sierra's introduction. "And this is Surskit."[break][break]
It was then when the wild Kingdra made itself known. With Sierra's back now turned, Anahel made an annoyed face. She really was going to have to keep this up, wasn't she?[break][break]
Sierra attacked the water dragon, greatly weakening it with Goomy's type effective move.[break][break]
Surskit, following his new friend's lead, jumped into action.[break][break]
"Surskit, no!" She prayed her pokèmon was wise enough to finish this quickly.[break][break]
The bug fired off Sticky Web, tangling the dragon in a make shift net, before delivering an onslaught of Quick Attacks.[break][break]
With the Kingdra now in a daze, the girl figured catching it was her best bet to end this mess and go home. [break][break]
Anahel covered her face in an attempt to look afraid, but really it was to hide their crippling embarrassment.[break][break]

Reaching into her bag, she grabbed and threw at pokèball. [break][break]

Anahel was under orders to gather intelligence for Rocket. [break][break]
The grunt has been getting more and more missions lately. Balancing her persona as a student alongside her duties as a Rocket member was becoming difficult. She supposed her grades didn't matter too much... But something felt wrong about slacking off at University.[break][break]
Sighing, she rode on Noivern as she scouted the island from above.[break][break]
"Hm?" Further ahead she saw the figure of a man on top of a pokèmon.[break][break]
Checking the information she was given this morning. There shouldn't be any Rocket members in this particular air zone. Were they League?[break][break]
She thought on it only for a few moments before deciding it was best to go ahead and take them out.[break][break]
Soaring towards the figure, she pulled up her face.[break][break]
"Noivern," she said preparing for combat. "Boom Burst."[break][break]
The dragon let out a horrendously loud scream at the target, one that was strong enough to easily knock the rider off and send the enemy pokèmon into a tumble.

Anahel was tired of this banter. She really just wanted to finish this mission and get away from Elijah.[break][break]
Approaching the glowing crystals, Ana could not help but crest her hand on them. They were beautiful, and not like anything she had seen before. Almost other worldly.[break][break]
The girl pulled out a notebook and began jotting down some notes. It was for the best to avoid getting lost in the cave system. Especially if it meant spending more time with moss head over there.

Still upset, the girl did not look back at Zev when he ordered her to inspect the apartment. How could she? She rushed into a situation and was completely overpowered.[break][break]
Ana, taking her first steps to the other rooms, stopped upon hearing Zev's plans to train her tomorrow. She looked back. Becoming acquainted once again with his cold, calculating stare.[break][break]
"Yes, sir."[break][break]
Turning away to finish her orders, the faintest smile formed on the girl's face. He wasn't done with her? He was willing to continue their relationship? Even after what transpired?[break][break]
This was when she realized what truly bothered her. She was scared of being abandoned by Zev. [break][break]
The first man who has taken an interest in her desires. The man who was guiding her through the darkness. The one she admired most. Was she really that scared of being alone again? Or, was Zev becoming just that special to her?[break][break]
Whatever it was, Anahel exited the living room–committing herself, once again, to her goal's as a Rocket member.

There it was. It was only a matter of time. The curse continues.[break][break]
A Gyarados appeared from the water, knocking the poor Surskit away.[break][break]
Anahel stood up, ready to fend off the ferocious pokèmon, but then looked over to see a blonde woman jumping into action. It was in her best interest to avoid fighting, or showing her other pokèmon, as a civilian. So, she decided to let them handle it.[break][break]
The battle turned into a spectacle as the two exchanged blows. The dragon pokèmon's attack caused a large splash of water that landed on Ana.[break][break]
Now completely drenched, the girl sighed. Least, the commotion was over with.[break][break]
The woman threw a pokèball at the Gyarados, as Surskit crawled back to Anahel with tears in its eyes.[break][break]
"It's okay," she said softly while picking him up.

Zev must have taken care of his target quite swiftly. The two girls struggled on the floor for only a few seconds before he came in and knocked the red hair woman off.[break][break]
Standing back up, Anahel retrieved her gun before pointing it at the broken and sobbing defector. [break][break]
She was filled with frustration that Zev had came in and saved her. She wanted to make an excuse. Tell the man she was capable of solving the situation on her own, but she knew such words would only irritate him. Enraged with herself, she scowled at woman on the ground.[break][break]
The moonlight shined just enough to reveal Ana's face. The woman stared into her eyes with horror.[break][break]
"You," she muttered through the blood and broken teeth in her mouth. "You are so young... Don't you see Rocket for what it is? They will consume you. Turn you into nothing more than a tool. If you fail to fall in line they will dispose of you without a second thought."[break][break]
Anahel stared back at the crying woman. "I don't care." The words were cold enough to send one last shiver down their spine.[break][break]
The girl pulled the trigger, shooting a bullet directly into the forehead. Blood drained onto the floor around the body.[break][break]
Riddled with shame, she couldn't bare to look at Zev.[break][break]
"I promise I'm not that weak," she said leaving the room.[break][break]
The pokèmon battle was just finishing up. Gardevoir and Gengar made quick work of the three enemies. There was a clear difference in training between the two sides.[break][break]
Anahel returned her gun to its holster before looking at her Gardevoir. The psychic sensed the girl's frustration, but there was nothing she could do to ease it. Only let it pass.

It seemed Anahel's gut was right. Three officials sprung from the shadows and surrounded the girl.[break][break]
Their guns pointed at her head. They commanded the girl to get on her knees and disarm herself. She was at a complete disadvantage. There was no choice, but to do as they say.[break][break]
Slowly, she fell to her knees, then rolled her pokèballs onto the ground. [break][break]This was the first time she had a gun point at her. What was she supposed to do? She couldn't run. Fighting wasn't an option. Was it really over here?[break][break]
Ana gave a deep scowl. Her ice cold eyes pierced the through the tension of the situation, hitting the officer directly in front of her with a cold sensation.[break][break]
"What is this about?"

✦ Recruitment Mission - Act II

Things quickly escalated once the pair reached the door. Zev fired into the forehead of one of the defectors, before kicking the door down.[break][break]
Anahel grabbed her gun and stormed in behind her teacher. [break][break]
The three pokèmon did not hesitate to counter attack. Greedent lunged directly for Anahel, but the protective Gardevoir jumped in front, intercepting the advance. [break][break]
Using Psychic, Gardevoir threw the Greedent into the ceiling. Its destructive power left a large dent in the structure–however, this did not come without damage, as Leafeon fired a barrage of leaves that cut into the flesh of the psychic pokèmon.[break][break]
Following Zev's orders, Ana chased after the red hair woman while Gardevoir stayed behind as cover.[break][break]
The bedroom was dimly lit. The moon from the window being its only source of light. Anahel entered with a single cautious step, holding her gun forward as she scanned her eyes around for the deflector.[break][break]
It was then when the red head appeared from behind a piece of furniture. She tackled the girl to the ground. Her gun slid away. The women thrusted a knife at Ana.[break][break]
Narrowly catching her wrist, the two struggled on the ground as the knife slowly inched its way closer to the girl's throat.

The thrashing in the back of the truck became more and more frequent. Was that man flying above really telling the truth? Was his pokèmon really trapped in there? If so... this was going to be a problem. Anahel needed to handle this swiftly.[break][break]
Reaching the destination, the girl pulled up the face mask hidden under her collar to her nose. It was in her best interest to hide her appearance now that she was in school. Even if she planned solve this with no witnesses, it was better to be safe.[BREAK][BREAK]
The girl jumped out of the truck and got her first good look at the upset man. Why did he look so familiar? She pondered on it for a moment, but decided it wasn't worth the time.[break][break]
"Hey, so I think I heard your friend in the back of my truck." She said in sincere tone. "I'll go ahead and let him out, but you see..." She paused for a few seconds, piecing together her words carefully.[break][break]
Wait... Anahel realized why he was so familiar. It was the fool from the Icelands.[break][break]
Thinking back on it, that boy didn't seem to be the brightest. She should use this to her advantage...[break][break]
"What I am delivery is a top secret product. On the cutting edge of technology. My boss would kill me if any of our competitors discovered what we have been working on. Do you mind turning around why I grab your friend? I'd really appreciate it."

Anahel continued to watch Surskit play in the water.[break][break]
She was surprised nothing has come to disrupt her alone time. It had become a reoccurring curse that some sort of mishap occurred whenever she tried to relax.[break][break]
Exhaling, the girl laid back and rested her head on the sand.[break][break]
"This is nice."

Anahel removed her hood as Zev emerged from the darkness. They made cold eye contact as he went over the details for tonight.[break][break]
She spent some time weighing her options for what pokèmon to bring. Ultimately, it came down to Gardevoir, due to her utility and monstrous psychic abilities.[break][break]
Gardevoir had a determined look upon being released from her ball. She gave Zev an odd stare, before turning her head to Gengar and nodding.[break][break]
On her last mission with Zev, Ana managed to hold her own against the League officers, but this would be different. Her first assault. Exterminate all targets, any means necessary.[break][break]
One would expect the girl to be nervous, but it was quite the opposite. She was calm. So calm, that she was almost at peace. Was it because Zev was with her, or has she finally started to grow into herself being a member of Rocket?[break][break]
Ana shook her head in response to Zev, the objective was clear. There was no need for any elaboration.[break][break]
"I'm ready."
