DAY AFTER DAY, LIKE A LIFETIME AWAY, I KEEP HOLDIN' ON

Kat turned around to hear a familiar voice "Thomas?" she said as she saw his green eyes. "Hi ya it's been a long time" she smiled then looked down seeing Sarina who was nuzzling the audino then nuzzled Thomas. "You found her" she smiled petting Sarina. "So, what you been up to?" she asked as she looked up at her friend noticing he had a few new scars that he didn't have when they last had met. She had known him back when her dad had pressured her to be his perfect princess, he was part of what made her have the confidence to tell him she wasn't going to be daddy's little princess.

She then extended her hand out to the audino to introduce herself to it. She never could actually understand Pokémon but somehow, they seemed to understand her. She then got up and let out the other Pokémon he would know from back then as Mic came out his pokeball. The little mouse rubbed his whiskers cutely then looked up noticing Thomas and scampered over to him wondering if he remembered it. He didn't have any markings that made him stand out, but he was smaller than most dedenne.

She smiled she was going on her first ranger mission. She was so excited sure it wasn't in the city she wanted to be stationed at but that was ok. She was excited and decided to bring only her two best battlers just in case battles might be involved. Today her and an upper ranked cadet were supposed to help round up a farmers Mareep. She had met with the farmer he had said his fifteen mareep had gotten loose and escaped their pen. Their job was to find them all and bring them home. She knew this wasn't going to be easy and it wasn't a job she could do on her own. So, she was glad the league was sending someone to help her with this. She had managed to earn some money and managed to get a uniform for being a ranger with her badge on she was so proud of herself.

She had with her two of her smallest members on her team but the ones that have the most moves. Mic was on her shoulder as usual. The tiny mouse may be small, but he was her best battler and the most helpful with nuzzle and being so small. He nuzzled her sending the normal usual shock of electricity though her as she had him for years she was used to this zap. She actually liked it. "We got this mic" she smiled at him but first was waiting for her partner to arrive. She hoped her own in experience wouldn't cause trouble for the other person coming to help.

She looks around having not been able to sleep she had been thinking about her brothers who she missed so she had decided to go do some studying about the land with just her Pokémon. Besides she needs to bond with Van the newest member of the team. She had received him for a fellow league member, for having joined the rangers. So, she decided to take him with her. She had called him Van. Van was already proving to be a challenge compared to her other Pokémon. He would act before she got a chance to call out a move. So, she knew she would need to work hard to gain his respect as his trainer. After all he hadn't originally been hers. He was probably upset because she wasn't his original trainer.

"Ok guys were going to do some exploring if we find another new member, we will see what happens." She smiled; she was excited maybe she could find something that loved to garden she had been thinking about starting a garden. This was also the location she wanted to be stationed as a ranger at was Maulville City. She was so excited although she was out late so she didn't know what she would find. Or what would happen. She smiled as she right now had Mic out who was her partner when it came to battles normally. "I'm counting on your Mic" she said as the Pokémon gave her a nuzzle sending a small shock into her body which she was used to.

Katrina was thinking about things she needed to do later. Sometimes I should take mission, shouldn't I? she thought to herself, but she knew missions you couldn't do alone maybe she could take Thomas with her, but she wanted to try to take someone she didn't really know well with her. She thought about this her white hair and black dress standing out in the crowd. It is making her look like a princess people started flooding over to her. "Excuse me could you not crowd me" she asked them and soon just got up darting away from the people.

She hated looking like she was some kind of princess, but she had just randomly come here with her older brother. Who she surprisingly hadn't seen yet. Soon she had gotten away from the people but looked worried she had lost sights of Serina. The little Amaura was no to be seen she could see everyone else in fact everyone else came over to her. But she couldn't see Sarina. "Sarina?" she called out.

The little dino had gotten separated in the crowd and was hiding somewhere letting off a cold air being scared and shivering. Serina was a very timid Pokémon, so she often got scared and ran off when people got too close, she wasn't scared of other Pokémon just people. So sadly, this was something normal the Pokémon getting lost.

Katrina smiled as much as she could muster right now "ya I don't mind the cold i prefer it I dressed like this cause all I own besides this is dresses that would be to hot" she explained. "So, we were passing through here i do have to learn to adapt to heat but I hate being hot and hate fire types, so it makes things hard. Plus, two of my Pokémon can't even join me cause their weaker to fire types" she explained farther. On why she was dressed that way. When the other girl said she would help her to the cold areas she accepted but cause half her team was weaker here. "Sure, I would be glad to have your help thank you very much I'm sorry if I sounded rude at all before."

"By the way this is Jerika" she said pointing to the bird doing the dancing. "She's always dancing" she said introducing the Pokémon she currently had out. Since last time it was her other Pokémon's turn to be introduced first. "This is Mic he's the one that wanted to come here" she said pointing to the dedenne. Which wasn't a lie for some reason her dedenne loved mountains.

What why am I here she wondered as she walked along the ashy terrain. She hated fire types she really did. She didn't see them as things that could help only things that hurt other things. Maybe she was a little biased because of her favorite typing but still she didn't like them. Maybe I can find someone help get me through here.

She wasn't in her usual happy mood with a stoek look on her face that said I don't want to be here. Yet she knew she needed to come to places like this to get used to adapting but why why were fire types a thing. She couldn't even bring out Sarina here or Nickel as them can't handle fire types especially her little dino.

She currently had out Jerika who was doing a happy sassy dance as usual to try to cheer up her trainer. Sadly, it wasn't working today but she pets her pom-pom girl for giving it a try. She really hated being here she was dressed in her bikini still which made her feel weird, but it was the only thing short that she owned. She wished there were colder places in this region like there was back home.
