Caleb would listen and understood what his pen pal was saying "Sorry if i offended you at all by the way it wasnt my intention to. I just thought to me it sounded complicated and i tend to like to keep things simple" although this didnt mean that caleb didnt make things complicated himself. He always seemed to complicate things depsite liking them rather simple. Caleb then looked down at starz who was still enjoying the endless amount of scractches at the center of its gem. Usually staryu didnt like this area touched but starz loved it. That was for example something simple but yet calebs brain would make it complicated by asking why it liked it.

"So you got any siblings? I dont im an only child sadly" he said as he looked up at his pen pal to learn more about him.

"I guess that makes since" he said as he thought about it. Although he had always thought a gym job was always busy back home it was always busy at the gyms. The part about the ranger thing made since to him though. "Back home all the gyms are usually busy so i didnt know gyms had slow times" he said. 

He picked up the pokeball as it had been registered to his pokedex revealing what the pokemon was "Wow its a monferno" he said. Which would come in handy but it only felt right if it was a double battle with the pokemon that caught it. "As for dracapult i havent ever seen one i have heard about them but havent really seen any so sadly i dont know much about them" he said. Explaining that he had seen posters of them and other trainers on tv use them but hadnt seen them in person.

He rummaged though his bag and ended up dropping a pokeball as it rolled into a bush bouncing on a FALINKS head catch.

Caleb nodded listening to what his pen pal was saying and how he wanted to do more than just heal pokemon like a doctor or like nurse joy usually did. But that he wanted to prevent pokemon from even getting hurt unnecessary if he could which Caleb thought was cool. He then watched as he held Starz who was now in his lap, being scratched on its gem.

When he said that he didnt want to get up and close with the people like cops did he understood not wanting to get in a fist fight but that didnt make complete sense to him. "But aren't rangers supposed to handle trappers, and poatchers that seems just as likely to end in having to fight someone to me, but maybe im wrong" he said. "Seems like inventing a potion that can do more than others can or being a doctor would be the best way to help without having to deal with getting in fist fights, but you also say you want to do more. Sounds complicated to me" he said.

He was always the type to think things deeply but also loved when things were simple. Yet he himself never made things super simple for himself.

As Caleb sat on the ground listening to Josh, while his pokemon played togeter. In the middle of the chat Hollow was getting in his way trying to get an attention. "Give me a second sorry" he said as he tossed a pokeball for Hallow to play with. "That sounds like a lot to juggle at once I dont know how gym leaders manage to do other things besides running gyms" he said.

While talking Hollow had taken the pokeball bouncing it off objects soon it came rolling the ball back something was weird though the ball which was originally empty showed signs of having a pokemon in it now. "What?! How?" he then thought about it "Is it possible he was playing with it and bounced it off a pokemons head?" he asked Josh having never had this happen before the pokeball locked so he couldnt even see what it was due to him already having the max pokemon he could have with him.

Although the water type was hit by the scortching sands and burned it pushed through the pain lifting up the ground type and slamming it in into the ground with pyschic. Being a water type although it was being burned the burn was cooled by the fact it was a water type.

He heard many other Pokémon around and decided not to go for them for now. As he decided to let tops play with Joel some more as the two started playing with Tops. He would sit down watching his pokemon listening to what the fellow speedster was saying. About how his family loved basket ball too. "Thats cool I'm pretty big back home but sports where going down back home so i was transferred here, which is strange since there is no team yet" he said. Then he smiled when the guy mentioned he could make a team of pokemon to play with "That is true but there would need to be more rules added like no pokemon using their moves like shadow ball or something like that cause that would be a bit choatic which does sound a bit fun" he smiled.

He actually really liked that idea and was soon thinking about applying that. Hallow was floating around sadly it couldn't really do much with the ball "Don't worry hallow when you evolve you can play the game better, but you are the best at cheering on everyone" he smiled as it made hallow happy. He smiled watching Joel finally get the ball past tops Joel smiled bouncing the ball on his head happily as it liked soccer too even though Caleb never played soccer.

"The one I have had the longest is Joel my Eevee, Skids the Skiddo, and Hallow the Gastley" he said. "The rest are within a few years of being with me except for Starz" he said. He would then again pet Starz. When he mentioned he didn't know much about sports and mentioned him showing him some pointers and stuff he smiled "Of course I can show you sometime, but I can go for long sessions longer than most yesterday I worked at it for 10 hours" he said although he forgot to say he pushes himself too hard when he does that.

"Thats cool that you joined to be a ranger" he said although he was a part of the league too, he was only really a civilian and didn't plan on being a member that did anything maybe be a gym leader or something but never really a ranger. He wasn't opposed to it or anything he just never really thought of anything but sports but lately sports have not been as big here. So, he added modeling on the side. "So, what are you looking forward to the most as a ranger, and what's you're reasoning for choosing that over being a cop or something like that?" he asked.

As soon as the Pokémon got close Starz let out a psychic attack attempting to slam the Pokémon into the wall. As Caleb watched this time having let his Pokémon choose its move.
